The python2 dependency cannot be removed right now as the documentation build with the python3 compatible archmage tool does not support building html sources from chm sources anymore. But I have filed a patch upstream to restore the functionality. https://github.com/dottedmag/archmage/pull/17 I'll wait a bit for an upstream answer before proceeding further.
