Bug#948947: gnome-builder: fails to run built application
xdg-desktop-portal upgraded to new version: > Start-Date: 2019-12-31 08:38:09 > Commandline: apt upgrade > Upgrade: xdg-desktop-portal:amd64 (1.4.2-3, 1.6.0-1) Strange... I already had the newer version the whole time when I reported this bug.

Control: reassign -1 xdg-desktop-portal On Mon, 24 Feb 2020 at 02:05:30 +, Keyikedalube Ndang wrote: > In conclusion, this must have been a temporary issue on my end due to some > packages not upgraded that gnome-builder depends? IDK, but that's what I'm > guessing right now. Please look at /var/log/apt/history.log* and check when you upgraded xdg-desktop-portal. I suspect you will find that at the time you reported this bug you had a version older than 1.5.3, and now you have a newer version. Specifically, this was probably fixed in xdg-desktop-portal 1.5.3 by commit e9a3a84b "Make document portal exit on unmount". smcv
Bug#948947: gnome-builder: fails to run built application
This bug/issue is no longer noticed on my system anymore. All built applications run successfully. Here's a summary of what happened: - Last week I upgraded gnome-builder from 3.34 to 3.35 - Somewhere on the Internet found the solution for manually starting xdg-document-portal - Upgraded some packages (I don't pull all upgrades at once because I'm on unstable distribution... yup migrated from testing) - days passed - Started gnome-builder and tried to run a project without manual xdg-doc set up. Project ran successfully! Not believing the output. Logged out my current session and back in again. Repeated the same step to run the project without manually starting xdg-document-portal. Ran again In conclusion, this must have been a temporary issue on my end due to some packages not upgraded that gnome-builder depends? IDK, but that's what I'm guessing right now. Should close this issue. Regards, Keyikedalube

Found the solution! Manually starting xdg-document-portal works; explained here https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/issues/1359#issuecomment-455280209 systemctl start --user xdg-document-portal Checking the service status, I noticed it was not running on fresh login. The current workaround is to manually start it.

Bug#948947: gnome-builder: fails to run built application
Package: gnome-builder Version: 3.34.1-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I created a sample GNOME hello world project with C++. The application successfully builds but fails to run with this error message: Application exited bwrap: Can't find source path /run/user/1000/doc/by-app/org.gnome.Calendar.Devel: No such file or directory Also cloned GNOME calendar and tried to run it after building just to confirm if the application will fail with the same error message.
