Someone suggested to me that a more correct fix for this bug might be
for python-cobra to stop requiring -sbml when it is built on mips64el;
could you look into the feasibility of doing that?

Thank you.

Hello,

I think this removal should be done now, independent of the upcoming
version in Git.

There is an outdated version of python-cobra in unstable because 0.14.1-1
was the last version that was built on mips64el. FTP masters removing that
outdated version allows python-cobra 0.14.2-2 to migrate into testing.

Thanks,
Juhani

I did so in Git. I also updated to latest upstream version.

Unfortunately the tests are ending with:

E ModuleNotFoundError: No module named '_libsbml'

Any idea how to fix this. I admit that the current version (0.14.2) is
building with the suggested change - but I intend to upload the latest
upstream instead of the outdated one. The error is suspicious to me that
also python3-sbml5 is not correctly working.

Any help to build the current status in Git[1] is really welcome.

You are right. I was tricked by the item

   missing build on mips64el

in excuses[2].

Kind regards

   Andreas.

Not sure what's going on here.

Firstly, shouldn't python-cobra be updated to depend on python3-sbml5
not python3-sbml?

Secondly, it looks like libsbml has never been buildable on mips64el --
so what exactly do you mean when you say that the build dependency was
lost?

Thanks!

Hi,

the build-dependency python3-sbml was lost inbetween two uploads of
python-cobra.
If the package would be removed for architecture mips64el from testing the
package
could migrate.

Kind regards

Andreas.

Note: this was a request for a partial removal from testing, converted in one
for unstable
