Package: webext-ublock-origin Version: 1.22.2+dfsg-1~deb10u1 Severity: important
On Debian stable, with current versions of chromium (80.0.3987.132-1~deb10u1) and webext-ublock-origin (1.22.2+dfsg-1~deb10u1), ublock is not useable in Chromium. Its icon (next to the address bar) indicates it is turned off (as indicated by the tooltip and the grey icon). Reloading it (in the chrome://extensions/ pane) briefly switches it to on (the icon turns red), only to come back to off about two seconds later. The console (visible through the background.html file that I can access when turning Developer mode on in the extensions pane) indicates: “Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND” about chrome- extension://oaiejdmjbagonijfeleeodihcicadkpm/lib/publicsuffixlist/wasm/publicsuffixlist.wasm, and indeed this file does not exist: the debian package provides /usr/share/mozilla/extensions/{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}/ublo...@raymondhill.net/lib/publicsuffixlist/wasm/publicsuffixlist.wat instead. But I don’t think this is related: adding a symbolic link from publicsuffixlist.wasm to publicsuffixlist.wat in that folder and reloading ublock makes this error disappear in the console, but the behavior persists: ublock turns off. Ublock works like a charm under my firefox-esr (68.6.0esr-1~deb10u1) package. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled webext-ublock-origin depends on no packages.
