Bug#966400: sublime-music: fails to create new server

2021-11-04 Thread Louis-Philippe Véronneau
Hi,

Thanks for reporting this bug and adding more info. It seems this was
reproduced in bug #997482 and I can reproduce it locally when running
the testsuite.

I still have to upload the latest upstream version of sublime-music. I'm
hoping it will fix the problem? Otherwise, I'll try to debug this further.

No promises on an ETA though, I'm quite busy :(

I just noticed the debug line. Here's what happens when I try to add the
server. I don't recall if the keyring stuff happens before or after I
click the Add button:

I'm currently hitting this issue. I'm running this on a pinephone, which
has a mix of debian testing and mobian packages. However, sublime and
its python dependencies are from the debian archive. Sublime-music
version is 0.11.10-1.

Same issue that the original reporter is having - I put in my server
info (the server is running navidrome), it tells me the config is valid,
but when I click the Add button nothing happens. The server has over
8,000 albums, so if sublime's trying to scan everything at the same time
that it's adding the server, something could be timing out.

Let me know if you'd like me to try anything.

Hi!

I've just uploaded 0.11.9-1 to the archive. It's not perfect (there are
issues with caching, but I'm working on that), but the codebase changed
a lot since the last version uploaded to Debian.

Could you please check if you are still having issues?

Thanks,

2020-08-17 Thread Louis-Philippe Véronneau
severity 966400 normal
thanks

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this bug.

I'm downgrading the severity, as I'm not able to reproduce the issue on
my machine running sid, although I'm sure it's real.

The pip version working isn't really relevant, as pip doesn't use Debian
dependencies. That and there's been quite a lot of changes on between
0.9.1 and 0.11.1.

I'd be interested in knowing what desktop environment you are using?
Maybe it doesn't crash on my side because I have packages installed that
are required but not listed in the dependencies?

Could you try running the package in debug mode to try to get see if you
get more info?

$ sublime-music -m debug

Anyway, I guess I'm going to have to test this in a clean sid VM to try
to reproduce your crash.

Cheers,

Bug#966400: sublime-music: fails to create new server

2020-07-27 Thread Kevin Thomas
Package: sublime-music
Version: 0.9.1-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
X-Debbugs-Cc: m...@kevinthomas.dev

Dear Maintainer,

Upon launching the application, the main screen shows a continuous spinning
loading symbol.
I went to "Configure Servers" and attempted to add a new server, but upon
clicking the
"Add" button, nothing happens. I am able to click on "Test Connection to
Server" and it says
"Connection to server successful."

I wasn't having this problem when installing v0.11.1 using pip.

The log that appears when I click on the "Add" button is:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/sublime/ui/configure_servers.py", line
126, in
), lambda e: self.on_edit_clicked(True), 'start', False),

228, in on_edit_clicked
self.server_configs.append(new_config)
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'append'

Thank you,
Kevin Thomas
