Could you bump user-mode-linux package using linux-source package version 5.10.5-1 or greater?
Linux 5.10.5 contains some extra backported patches for Debos, Debian Image Generator, and it's user-mode-linux backend. Debos currently allows to build images using a virtual machine with KVM, which usually isn't available for use on unprivileged cloud machines. On machines where these unprivileged cloud machines are used, Debos can either run directly on the host or inside a user-mode-linux "container".
