Bug#982262: vrrender: fails to start, missing directory

2021-03-17 Thread Flavien Bridault

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for the url of the mailing list, I just subscribed to not miss
anything in the future.

I rewrote the history of all three branches for now, and created a new
version 20.2.0-2 with the fix. So the upstream matches the master
branch. I tested both amd64 and i386 builds, so this looks good for me.

Do we need to change the criticity of the bug before uploading or can
you upload it without it ?

Cheers,

No problem.

Actually I think this is a critical bug because the vrrender application

Yes, this seems to be the right procedure.

May be you are not comfortable with the freeze policy. We are currently
in deep freeze. This means:
* no new upstream versions
* only minimum fixes for release critical bugs
* uploads to unstable with other changes are discouraged to enable
small changes uploads for potential RC bugs

Could you please upload the changes if everything looks ok for you ?

There are three options:

1. I can upload your changes to experimental - but this is probably
   not really what you want.
2. We can simply wait to fix this issue until Debian 11 is released
and your changes are targeting to the next release
3. The severity of the VRRender bug will be bumped to serious (which

Bug#982262: vrrender: fails to start, missing directory

2021-03-16 Thread Flavien Bridault

Good evening Andreas,

I updated Sight to 20.3 and added a patch to fix this bug as well.
VRRender launches well for me now.

Could you please upload the changes if everything looks ok for you ?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
