Bug#300638: ircd-hybrid: ircd segfaults after some operations (joining channels, setting topics) on amd64

Bug#304610: dpkg does not function under Fedora Core 3, patch provided
Package: dpkg Version: 1.9.21 When trying to use dpkg together to build a debian package under Fedora Core 3, dpkg exits with an error message saying "no gcc-lib component". This is because dpkg expects gcclib to live in /usr/share/gcc-lib/.../ but under Fedora Core 3, it lives under /usr/share/gcc/.../ A suggest the following patch be applied to enquiry.c. It fixes this issue by first checking for a /gcc-lib/ component in the gcclib path, and if none exists, checks for a /gcc/ path. This should have _no_ impact on systems unaffected by this bug. 711a712,718 > if( !p ){ > p= strstr(vb.buf,"/gcc/"); > if (p) p+= 5; > } > else > p+= 9; > 713d719 < p+= 9; If there is a need for transfering copyright even for such a trivial patch, I willingly transfer copyright to the fsf, debian, Bill Gates or whoever is applicable. I am using Fedora Core 3. If you think it doesn't matter if dpkg works under non-Debian systems, please reconsider. I want my software to support Debian systems, but I am not willing to let that dictate my choice of distribution. That is why I am doing my best to make dpkg work under my computer. Thank you for your time.
Bug#305906: ppp doesn't create a dsl-connection
Package: ppp Version: 2.4.3-20050321+1 Today I've updated the above mentioned package. After the next reboot, I couldn't start a DSL-connection via rp.pppoe. No browser-activity, no ping, nothing. I knew this behaviour, 'cause I had it with Sid a few weeks ago. For the running session I can start a dsl-connection after running pppoeconf. But this will only last for the current session. After a reboot, pon dsl-provider fails again. Downgrading ppp to some 2.4.2-version is a kind of workaround. Just out of curiosity: I can see why the ABI transition prevents you from uploading a new version of openexr/libopenexr but I don't see how that explains the problem with exrheader in the first place. Bug#327503: tcsh: %j in $prompt doesn't work as documented but breaks the whole prompt
Package: tcsh Version: 6.14.00-1 Severity: normal A $prompt for tcsh containing the substring '%j' does not work as documented ('%j' means the number of backgound jobs according to tcsh(1).) Instead, if the above mentioned substring is contained in $prompt, the whole prompt _just_ contains the number of jobs. BTW: That number is also updated in a somehow delayed kind -- only the next non-internal command after putting a job in the background updates the prompt, e.g. fg, bg, jobs, etc. do not update it while calling an non-existent command, e.g. 'c', works fine updating the number. But I think, it doesn't make sense to file that bug as long as %j is nearly complete unusable. Example: set prompt='%S\\!%h ?%? %%%j L%$shlvl%s [EMAIL PROTECTED]:%l%b'" %B%P [%c05] %#%b " results in a prompt just containing 0 while set prompt='%S\\!%h ?%? %%X L%$shlvl%s [EMAIL PROTECTED]:%l%b'" %B%P [%c05] %#%b " works fine (number of jobs replaced by 'X') and results on this box to !19 ?0 %X L1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:pts/3 16:13:32 [~] > P.S.: This bug also seems to be in Sarge's version of tcsh (6.13.00), not only in Sid's version (6.14.00). In Woody's 6.11.00 the problem didn't appear since the %j feature was introduced in 6.11.01. (Where it worked when compiled from sources. Bug#403930: xemacs21-basesupport: vm silently drops mails if /usr/bin/sendmail rejects them
Package: xemacs21-basesupport Version: 2005.03.07-1, 2006.05.10-1 Severity: grave Justification: causes non-serious data loss Tags: sarge, etch The MUA vm from xemacs21 (21.4.17-1 on Sarge, 21.4.19-2 on Etch, too) does not report anything if mails which should be sent out are rejected by /usr/sbin/sendmail, e.g. because of their size, even on a virgin account. The user does not have any clue, that the mail didn't go out and wonders why nobody has received the mail. Example / How to reproduce: Start xemacs under a virgin user account. Type M-x vm. Type m in the newly popped up window. Set recipient and subject in the again newly popped up window. Type M-x vm-mime-attach-file and attach one or more files so that in their sum they are bigger than the local MTA is configured to accept. In our case the limit of the local postfix is (IIRC by default) set to 10 MB and we attached an appropriately big tar.gz. Type C-c C-c to send the mail out. The window closes and postfix from Sarge writes to its log file: Dec 20 17:28:49 malfoy postfix/postdrop[30418]: warning: uid=4977: File too large Dec 20 17:28:49 malfoy postfix/sendmail[30417]: fatal: xtaran(4977): Message file too big Postfix from Etch writes instead: Dec 20 17:53:42 ankara postfix/postdrop[31933]: warning: uid=4977: Illegal seek Dec 20 17:53:42 ankara postfix/sendmail[31932]: fatal: xtaran(4977): queue file write error The user who sent the mail did not get any notice about that and therefore doesn't know he just lost that mail. It's even worse on Etch: There vm claims to have sent out the mail by naming a buffer "sent mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]" (or whereever you planned to send that mail). On the other hand, this means that you have less serious data loss on Etch. :-) To check that postfix did not only log the message to the error log, I tried to send out a similar mail using /usr/sbin/sendmail directly (on Sarge): $ /usr/sbin/sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED] < 20-MB-Test-Mail.txt postdrop: warning: uid=4977: File too large sendmail: fatal: xtaran(4977): Message file too big $ echo $? 69 $ On Etch /usr/sbin/sendmail returns with exit code 75. I have looked through the vm variables and functions but haven't found any which configures how to care about sendmail's return values or messages (as e.g. mutt does). It also doesn't seem to have any customisation via M-x customize RET mail. -- System Information for Etch: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages xemacs21-basesupport depends on: ii perl 5.8.8-6.1 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction xemacs21-basesupport recommends no packages. -- System Information for Sarge: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.33.2-1-dphys-k8-smp-64gb Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages xemacs21-basesupport depends on: ii perl 5.8.4-8sarge5 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- no debconf information
Bug#403953: emacs21-common: smtpmail silently drops mails if they /usr/bin/sendmail rejects them
Package: emacs21-common Version: 21.4a-1 Severity: grave Justification: causes non-serious data loss Tags: sarge, etch At least M-x vm for GNU Emacs 21 (from the vm package, versions 7.19-4 in Sarge, 7.19-11 in Etch) and M-x mail from GNU Emacs 21 do not report anything if mails which should be sent out are rejected by /usr/sbin/sendmail, e.g. because of their size, even on a virgin account. The user does not have any clue, that the mail didn't go out and wonders why nobody has received the mail. Both use the underlying smtpmail library, and if mail is sent out using smtpmail's SMTP engine, it reports error, but if it's sendmail engine is used, it reports none. This bug is more or less identical to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=403930 which also concerns smtpmail, but the version included in xemacs21-basesupport for XEmacs 21. Example / How to reproduce: Start emacs under a virgin user account. Type M-x vm. Type m in the newly popped up window. Set recipient and subject in the again newly popped up window. It's even worse on Etch: There vm claims to have sent out the mail by naming a buffer "sent mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]" (or whereever you planned to send that mail). On the other hand, this means that you have less serious data loss on Etch. :-) Same with M-x mail and big mails. You even don't get any hint in the *Messages* buffer. To check that postfix did not only log the message to the error log, I tried to send out a similar mail using /usr/sbin/sendmail directly (on Sarge): $ /usr/sbin/sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED] < 20-MB-Test-Mail.txt postdrop: warning: uid=4977: File too large sendmail: fatal: xtaran(4977): Message file too big $ echo $? 69 $ On Etch /usr/sbin/sendmail returns with exit code 75. I have looked through the vm variables and functions but haven't found any which configures how to care about sendmail's return values or messages (as e.g. mutt does). A workaround is to use SMTP instead of /usr/sbin/sendmail. Then you get at least an "SMTP protocol error", although you still get no hint, what exactly went wrong. Bug#403930: More details on this issue
retitle 403930 xemacs21-basesupport: smtpmail silently drops mails if /usr/bin/sendmail rejects them thanks While trying to find a workaround for this problem I discovered some more details: Not vm but smtpmail.el(c) seems to be the core of the problem since you get a (though not very meaningful) error message if you switch smtpmail over to use SMTP instead of the default /usr/sbin/sendmail. But at least you get an error message and the mail stays unsent in its buffer. The same also happens with M-x mail if the mail gets too big. The same bug can also be found in smtpmail for GNU Emacs 21 from the emacs21-common package, see http://bugs.debian.org/403953 for details. A workaround is to use SMTP instead of /usr/sbin/sendmail. Then you get at least an "SMTP protocol error", although you still get no hint, what exactly went wrong. For using this workaround, add (custom-set-variables '(send-mail-function (quote smtpmail-send-it)) ; change this to your favourite server -- only needed if $SMTPSERVER is not set. Package: wget Version: 1.9.1-12, 1.10.2-2 Severity: normal I was able to reproduce the CVE-2006-6719 (DoS from malicious FTP server against wget <= 1.10.2 by letting it segfault, see http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2006-6719) with wget versions in Sarge, Etch and Sid (Etch and Sid are the same at the moment of writing). How to reproduce: Download the proof of concept perl script from http://www.milw0rm.com/exploits/2947 then log in as root and start the script as root (it's easy to understand and harmless, well, except to wget... ;-). You'll also find a backtrace in the comments at the beginning of the script. The login as a user, and start: wget --passive-ftp ftp://localhost/bla/fasel It will segfault. It's not yet known if this segfault can be exploited to execute some code with the rights of the wget user (possibly root), so I set the severity to normal only... Bug#405628: RFP: cone -- COnsole Newsreader and Emailer (a GPL'ed pine clone)
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: cone Version : 0.69 Upstream Author : Mr. Sam <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL or Web page : http://www.courier-mta.org/cone/ * License : GPL Description : COnsole Newsreader and Emailer (a GPL'ed pine clone) According to http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/11/28/1519247 cone is modeled after the well-known but not-so-free MUA pine and therefore could fit into Debian as a GPL'ed pine replacement. According to its web page it shares a lot of libraries with the Courier MTA and is written by the same people. It's pico-clone is named leaf (Lightweight Editor of Ascii Files). Beyond others cone has support for PGP, GPG, UTF-8, IMAP, POP3, incoming HTML mails, external viewers, NNTP, SOCKS 5, SSL/TLS, SASL, LDAP and IMAP based address books, remote storable configuration, multiple accounts (can't remember having seen that in pine), tagging mails with several different flags, and SMAP (Simple Mail Access Protocol, a new IMAP and POP3 replacement developed by the Courier guys and supported by the Courier developement versions). Cone compiles smoothly on Sarge with just "sh configure && make". It looks like pine with some of the known enhancement patches (e.g. it's more colorful, but still not too colorful :-) and works quite intuitively, IMHO even more than pine does. The only thing missing on a first glance is the capability of mutt or pine to connect to an IMAP server by tunneling IMAP over SSH. :-) I really wonder why it isn't in Debian yet, since the Courier MTA seems to be well-elaborated in Debian (at least according to the number of packages it has been split into ;-). There happens the same. (The package version is also the same.) Looks as if the game needs OpenGL or so, which is neither available on the box $DISPLAY is set to nor would it AFAIK work remotely, but it just shouldn't segfault. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.33.2-1-dphys-k8-smp-64gb Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages balazar depends on: ii python-cerealizer 0.5-1 secure pickle-like module for Pyth ii python-pyvorbis 1.3-1.2A Python interface to the Ogg Vorb ii python-soya 0.12-2 high level 3D engine for Python ii python-support0.5.6 automated rebuilding support for p ii python-tofu 0.5-2 high-level network game engine for ii python2.4 2.4.4-1An interactive high-level object-o balazar recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#391582: eog: exits without any appropriate error message or exit code if image is not accessible
Subject: eog: exits without any appropriate error message or exit code if image is not accessible Package: eog Version: 2.14.3-1 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line *** If you start eog with an image file name on the command line and the image is unaccessible for eog e.g. because belonging to another user and having rights set to 600 (as it's the case with screenshots made during the graphical install and you want wo view them afterwards with your freshly created normal user), it exits with exit code zero and without any error message. The same happens if you select such a file from the open dialog and try to open it: eog exits and gives not any hint why it did that nor what caused the exit. Besides that: If you try to open an unreadable file via the open dialog, the program should not exit completely but instead return to the open dialog and showing an appropriate error message. Hi! The problem is located at /usr/share/slash/sql/mysql/schema.sql -- there is a create statement which is a little bit strange: CREATE TABLE moderatorlog ( id int UNSIGNED NOT NULL auto_increment, uid mediumint UNSIGNED NOT NULL, val tinyint DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, sid mediumint UNSIGNED DEFAULT '' NOT NULL, ^ ^^^ ts datetime DEFAULT '-00-00 00:00:00' NOT NULL, cid mediumint UNSIGNED NOT NULL, cuid mediumint UNSIGNED NOT NULL, reason tinyint UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0', active tinyint DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL, m2count mediumint UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (id), KEY sid (sid, cid), KEY sid_2 (sid, uid, cid), KEY cid (cid) ) TYPE = myisam; I'm not sure, if we just can set the default to 0 or if it's better to remove the "NOT NULL" and make "NULL" the default. The problem is well known, but unfortunately not trivial. Slash out of the box doesn't work with 2.x Apaches. Slashdot itself still runs Apache 1.3. See also this discussion at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=1180528679.21189.1192504357%40webmail.messagingengine.com&forum_name=slashcode-general But there is an inofficial patch for the current "stable" version 2.2.6 from 2004 (see http://www.slashcode.com/articles/04/02/19/2144259.shtml and http://www.crackerjack.net/slash-2.2.6-modperl2.diff.txt) for Apache 2.0. Since I plan to evaluate that patch for the Slashsite I run, I also already planned to try to update the package to work with Apache 2.x. No promises, but at least a personal urge to get that damned thing working with Apache 2.x. :-) Much more speculative is though if the current developement version can be made run with Apache 2.x. (But as long as it's brandmarked "stable" it should be ok for Debian Stable, shouldn't it? :-) Regards, Axel -- Axel Beckert - [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] - http://noone.org/abe/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#234309: Bug#423441: -f option raises security concerns
Hi, On Sun, Jun 17, 2007 at 09:16:57AM -0600, Neale Pickett wrote: > If that's the case, couldn't you do soemthing like (my perl is old and > rusty so apologies for the pseudo-perl): > > while (@ARGV) { > if (/^-([a-z])=(.*)$/) { > # do a big switch on $1, setting variables to $2 > } > } > > and avoid the use of modules altogether? It's a little bit like reinventing the wheel, but in general it should be possible since CGI.pm doesn't modify @ARGV. So it also shouldn't interfere with blosxoms other commandline options using param(). But I haven't tested that yet. Another possibility to fix this would be the following: Instead of for $rcfile ("/etc/blosxom/blosxom.conf", "/etc/blosxom.conf", param("-f")) { write: my $conffile; $conffile = param('-f') unless $ENV{GATEWAY_INTERFACE}; for $rcfile ("/etc/blosxom/blosxom.conf", "/etc/blosxom.conf", $ENV{BLOSXOM_CONFIG_FILE}, $conffile) { So -f only gets used outside a webserver. Drawback: Only works if the server sets that environement variable. According to the specification[1] it must do that ("The following environment variables [...] are set for all requests"), but I'm not sure if really every HTTP daemon with claimed CGI support does that. [1] http://hoohoo.ncsa.uiuc.edu/cgi/env.html More CGI necessary environement variables could be added, but the more you add, the more could be set on the command line manually so that the -f feature doesn't work anymore on the command line either. Bug#394566: ITP: conkeror -- completely keyboard driven Gecko based web browser
Package: wnpp Owner: Axel Beckert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Severity: wishlist * Package name: conkeror Version : 0.34 Upstream Author : Shawn Betts <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://conkeror.mozdev.org/ * License : MPL or OSI-approved[1] Programming Lang: JavaScript, XUL Description : completely keyboard driven Gecko based web browser Conkeror is a Gecko based and completely keyboard driven web browser implemented as Firefox extension[2]. It has no toolbars or buttons and its keybindings are modeled after Emacs, but it also offers optional vi-like keybindings. Notes: [1] Exact license still unclear since it's not mentioned on the website and I have no feedback neither from the #conkeror IRC-channel nor mailinglist yet. I've also skimmed through the source code and haven't found anything, but since the mozdev.org policy for hosted projects only allows projects under MPL or an OSI-approved license, it should not give any bad surpises here. :-) [2] It's implemented and installed as a Firefox extension, but using a wrapper script loading the appropriate chrome files, it should be able to install it as it would be a standalone browser (using all the Firefox preferences, though). Additionally, any user can choose to start conkeror instead of firefox when firefox is called. But I don't want to implement this as default. It also seems to really need firefox and not only xulrunner. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Yeah, I already wondered about the really misleading name. But I just hadn't a better idea for a package name and so have chosen the straight one. But you're right, I should better name it "firefox-conkeror" (since all the mozilla-firefox-* packages seemed to have been renamed to firefox-*). > It's quite nice to see that while the Mozilla foundation are really > picky about their names, they don't seem to care at all about other > app (even open source ones) names. .oO( Phoenix, Firebird, ... ) Well, yes, you're right about the Mozilla Foundation. But Conkeror is no Mozilla Foundation project, it's just a Firefox extenstion with a strange name and hosted at some site, which also seems to have no affiliation with the Mozilla Foundation. It's rather it's own foundation, see http://www.mozdev.org/about.html as we http://www.mozdev.org/faq.html#mozilla. Bug#396728: openbsd-inetd: Priority change in Sarge breaks inetd-based services during installation
Package: openbsd-inetd Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software The recent priority exchange of openbsd-inetd (extra in 3.1r3, important in 3.1r4) and netkit-inetd (vice versa) was said to have happened only in Etch/Sid, but in fact it did also happen in Sarge and there it breaks the inetd services installation during base-config. Cause of this are two independent things: a) openbsd-inetd refuses to start (or better said stops) if there are no inetd services configured at the time, it is started. b) If any inetd based services (e.g. pidentd) are installed afterwards and use /usr/sbin/update-inetd from the package netbase (see below), that services won't start up, since /usr/sbin/update-inetd only killhups inetd, which doesn't do anything, since there is no inetd running anymore (in comparsion to netkit-inetd's behaviour). In our environment (Department of Physics, ETH Zurich, more than 150 automatically installed Debian Sarge workstations) this breaks the whole installation, since we use base-config's preseeding to fetch further configuration and packages from a web-server, which needs to check if root or some other user is trying to download them. For enforcing root-only downloads we are using ident requests. Without inetd and therefore without identd this fails and so the whole automatic installation fails -- since Sarge 3.1r4. A manual reboot would restart base-config and since then inetd.conf contains services, openbsd-inetd would start up and the installation would resume. (Credits for finding out the real reason behind the breakage go to Neil Franklin (http://neil.franklin.ch/), with additional work by Gürkan Sengün (http://www.linuks.mine.nu/).) Besides that, it's not very useful to let base-config install netkit-inetd just to remove it when tasksel installs all important packages: ---snip--- The following NEW packages will be automatically installed: g++-3.3 gcc-3.4-base libstdc++5-3.3-dev The following packages will be automatically REMOVED: netkit-inetd The following NEW packages will be installed: bc bin86 bind9-host bison dc dictionaries-common dmidecode dnsutils doc-debian doc-linux-text file finger flex ftp g++ g++-3.3 gcc-3.4-base gdb gnu-efi gnupg iamerican ibritish ispell less libbz2-1.0 libc6-dev libdb4.3 libdns16 libevent1 libgc1 libgpmg1 libident libidn11 libisc7 libkrb53 libldap-2.2-7 libldap2 liblwres1 libmagic1 libncursesw5 libnfsidmap1 libnss-db libreadline4 libreadline5 libsasl2 libselinux1 libsepol1 libstdc++5-3.3-dev libstdc++6 libtasn1-0 linux-kernel-headers lpr lsb-base lsof m4 manpages-dev mime-support module-init-tools mpack mtools mtr-tiny mutt ncurses-term netcat nfs-common openbsd-inetd pidentd portmap procmail python python-newt python2.3 reportbug sharutils slang1 strace tcsh texinfo time traceroute w3m wamerican whois The following packages will be REMOVED: netkit-inetd The following packages are RECOMMENDED but will NOT be installed: ca-certificates libsasl2-modules python2.3-cjkcodecs python2.3-iconvcodec python2.3-japanese-codecs python2.3-korean-codecs wbritish 0 packages upgraded, 83 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Bug#354502: Adopting the package
retitle 354502 ITA: wap-wml-tools -- Wireless Markup Language development and test tools thanks Upstream has neglected this software, removed the software's homepage and does not answer any mail regarding this software. I plan to host a mirror of the rescued parts of the (luckily only one page) upstream home page and old upstream versions. I'll also try to fix any security, build, docs or compatibility related bugs, but can't promise to fix all feature-like bugs (like the one still being open -- although I'll have a look, if can fix that though)... Unfortunately without the original author answering to mails, I can't do anything about the package having an non-free license (because of including a non-commercial clause). Hmmm, I remember doing the patch during Zurich BSP, but if that hasn't been uploaded yet, I would have to patch it again, since the boxes we had there were reinstalled after the BSP. Bug#308113: Reassigning the bug to libxml2
reassign 308113 libxml2 thanks Hi, I'm reassigning this bug to libxml2 since the error seems to happen during the XML syntax verification which is not done by rdfwml but by libxml2. You can reproduce the same error with the tool xmllint from the package libxml2-utils (source package libxml2) by calling it like this on the file attached to the bug-report: $ xmllint broken2.rdf P.S.: This problem seems also to happen with libxml1 since $ xml2 < broken2.rdf from the libxml1 dependent package xml2 (sic!) also reports this error. Is the RDF file valid XML or is it a bug in libxml? I can't tell. I have been told that the segfault seems to be fixed in mutt 1.5.16 or so, so I would be happy if the fix could be backported to 1.5.13 in Etch so that this bug could be fixed with the next maintenance release of Etch. Bug#408852: gnome-power-manager: Translations are in the .po-file but are not used
Package: gnome-power-manager Version: 2.14.3-3+b1 Followup-For: Bug #408852 I just downloaded the source via "apt-get sources gnome-power-manager". I had a look at the de.po file and found nearly all the missing german translations there. Here are the ones which are missing, but are fully translated in the de.po-file: msgid "Put _display to sleep when computer is inactive for:" msgstr "_Bildschirm in den Ruhemodus versetzen nach:" msgid "Put computer to _sleep when it is inactive for:" msgstr "_Rechner in den Ruhemodus versetzen nach:" msgid "Only display when battery _present" msgstr "Nur anzeigen, wenn Batteriestrom _kritisch wird:" One translation is really missing. It is: msgid "Sleep _type when inactive:" msgstr "" This should be (in my opinion): msgid "Sleep _type when inactive:" msgstr "Energiesparverhalten bei Inaktivität" I recognised this translation bug in the Debian distribution only. So I think this is not a gnomebug - almost all the translations are there but are not used. Bug#365223: dillo hangs at start after 2x saving default options
Package: dillo Version: 0.8.5-2 Severity: important When saving its options, dillo writes an dillorc file into $HOME/.dillo. I changed a few settings, saved them, changed a few more settings, saved them again, and dillo hangs while starting up. After the first save, it writes into dillorc "geometry=0x0", after the second time, it writes "geometry=1x1" into it, causing the following error message and hangig at startup: Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width 65527 and height 30 How to reproduce: Just start dillo, save the default options, exit, start again, save again, exit again and start it a third time.
