Bug#672753: wrong built of python-poppler-qt4

2012-05-13 Thread moebius

Package: python-poppler-qt4
Version: 0.16.2-1

Bonjour,

I'm using frescobaldi, a frontend for lilypond, the best score editor I know

Suddenly, I can't more open a frescobaldi file ; frescobaldi crashes
with this error :

python: /tmp/buildd/sip4-4.13.2/siplib/siplib.c :8164 :
sip_api_convert_from_new_type: L'assertion « (((td)->td_flags & 0x0007)
== 0x) » a échoué.

Abandon
"a échoué" means "has failed" and "abandon" means "abort"

I've posted a bug report on frescobaldi list and here is the answer :

> this is a known issue caused by the debian package of python-poppler-qt4.

 It is built for the wrong version of the python-sip package. Upgrading
python-sip and

 python-poppler-qt4 may help, or installing python-poppler-qt4 manually.
>
> closing because it is not a Frescobaldi bug.

I suppose that frescobaldi maintener knows what he says so is it
possible to correct the problem ?

cordialement,

Doesn't match the official icon introduced in May 24, 2023

https://blog.thunderbird.net/2023/05/introducing-the-brand-new-thunderbird-logo/

These new icons are provided by upstream in the source here :

comm/mail/branding/thunderbird/content

Bug#961549: cannot access network scanner

2020-05-25 Thread Moebius

Package: libsane-hpaio
Version: 3.20.5+dfsg0-2

When lauching xsane, an alert window says that no scanner has been
found. I've noticed that related to scanner packages has been updated on
may 18, so I've downgraded to previous version 3.20.3+dfsg0-2 and
everything works again properly.
The device is an hp officejet pro 6830 and I had to install the same
version (3.20.3+dfsg0-2)  of the following packages too :

hplip, hplip-data, hplip-gui, libhpmud0, printer-driver-hpcups.

Bug#524432: libgmm++-dev: gmm_superlu_interface.h not compatible with libsuperlu3-dev directory structure

2009-04-16 Thread Jan Moebius
Package: libgmm++-dev
Version: 3.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

When using gmm with
#define GMM_USES_SUPERLU
gmm_superlu_interface.h uses includes like
SRC/slu_Cnames.h
#include "SRC/slu_Cnames.h"
which is incompatible with the flat directory structure used in the superlu
package.

Bug#425425: tsocks: Need to include tordns

2007-05-21 Thread Klein Moebius
Package: tsocks
Version: 1.8beta5-6
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

There is a patch to upstream sources available here:

This patch causes tsocks to utilize Tor for dns lookups on
non-multithreaded applications, eliminating leakage of dns requests on
single calls.

The patch applies successfully to Debian sources for tsocks IF the
Debian patch "getpeername" is eliminated from the debian/patch queue AND
debian/rules is modified to exclude "--enable-hostnames"

Would a fork of the Debian package tsocks be necessary to include this
functionality?

Regards,
Klein

Bug#557234: udev: Bad permissions for firewire devices

2009-11-20 Thread Jan Moebius
Package: udev
Version: 146-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

the permissions for firewire devices prevent none root users from using them.
Currently /dev/fw* are owned by
user and group root and permissions set to 660 so a normal user can not access
them. Maybe there should be a group
for firewire users so that they can use firewire cameras.

I set the firewire currently with the following udev rules:
KERNEL=="raw1394",  GROUP="firewire",MODE="0660"
KERNEL=="dv1394*",  GROUP="firewire",MODE="0660"
KERNEL=="video1394*",   GROUP="firewire",MODE="0660"

KERNEL=="fw*",  GROUP="firewire",MODE="0660"

But maybe that is not the optimal solution.

Best regards,
Jan
