You have a php addon thing, using PHP license 2.02, but unfortunately for you this license cant really be used with anything else than PHP itself. It always only talks about the product PHP, not about software. And php-whatever isnt really PHP from the PHP group. Point 5 in the older version 2) is also an advertisement clause. Bad thing which is usually discouraged. And, at the end there is the following text: =2D-- This software consists of voluntary contributions made by many individuals on behalf of the PHP Group. The PHP Group can be contacted via Email at [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more information on the PHP Group and the PHP project, please see http://www.php.net. This product includes the Zend Engine, freely available at http://www.zend.com. =2D-- I doubt that your package is made on behalf of the PHP group. Or that it includes the Zend Engine. As a good solution for this I suggest to talk to your upstream. Looking at the license they choosed they do want to make it available for everyone, so I suggest to use either the original BSD license or the LGPL. The other solution is to reassign this bug to ftp.debian.org requesting the removal of this package. =2D-=20 bye Joerg towo Das Internet, jetzt auf 47 DVDs - oder auf 2 CDs in der jugenfreien= Fassung? --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Joerg Jaspert [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Debian Developer iD8DBQBDQR/UcV7WoH57iskRAn3qAJ9a1IcX0eauoBjPtGQ5fPs57M6BHACcCPje 1HCrLhgtIy2nss9r1Nhizt0= =SG4v -END PGP SIGNATURE- --=-=-=-- --- Received: (at 332612-done) by bugs.debian.org; 29 Oct 2005 08:42:45 + From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Oct 29 01:42:45 2005 Return-path: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: from dsl093-039-086.pdx1.dsl.speakeasy.net (tennyson.dodds.net) [66.93.39.86] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1EVmIX-0004pu-00; Sat, 29 Oct 2005 01:42:45 -0700 Received: by tennyson.dodds.net (Postfix, from

Bug#328707: kernel-source-2.4.27: Compile fails
micah [EMAIL PROTECTED] [2005-10-29 02:26]: I had this same problem and solved it by changing my symlink for /usr/bin/gcc to point to gcc-3.3 instead of 4.0 for the duration of the 2.4 compile. Clearly this isn't the best solution, but its a work-around. I'm afraid this doesn't work for me as the compilation ends in the exact same error message. Horms wrote: Strange, kernel-source-2.4.27-11 should be using gcc-3.3, as I patched the top-level Makefile to do so. But I think I am seeing this problem too, so I guess there is a hole in there somewhere. In my original report I had gcc pointing to gcc-4.0 but still you can see that gcc-3.3 was used to compile process.c. I imagine that gcc-4.0 could have messed up earlier in the process and that this manifests itself in this way when compiling process.c but, with my limited knowledge in this area, this doesn't seem likely. /Björn -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#334959: boost: FTBFS on hppa
Hi, Please find attached a patch to fix the FTBFS on hppa. The only solution I found is to build boost with g++-3.4. Using -ffunction-sections, as suggested by ld in the error message does not work. Note that building with g++-3.4 is only necessary to build the debug part (the one built with -O0). The release part (built with -O3) is optimized, so it is possible to reach all functions without problem. Bye, Aurelien -- .''`. Bug#336306: kaffeine 0.7.1-1.2 do not play sound via ALSA/xine engine with error Audio output unavailable. Device is busy. ()
Package: kaffeine Version: 0.7.1-1.2 Severity: grave Upon playing any video file (mpeg, avi, dvd, any file that I tried, with previously worked ok) I get error Audio output unavailable. Device is busy. () and the movie plays but with no sound. Also, the player starts to jump in playlist (in example - jumps to next chapter of DVD movie) after encountering the audio system problem, with makes it hard to close the application (it keeps poping up the error dialog box all the time) with is another bug itself IMHO (but a small one). Other players, like totem, gxine, xine, xmms(for audio), alsaplayer, work fine, so I think it is bug in the kaffeine, not in xine nor alsa (but I can be wrong). ## ### ENVIRONMENT ### Linux lore.raf256 2.6.13.4-grsec-c2-k8r #2 Fri Oct 14 17:11:20 CEST 2005 i686 GNU/Lin grsecurity is not an issue here (it worked fine with it enabled before, dmesg do not inform of any grsecurity problems while running kaffeine) my installed software related to problem: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# dpkg -l '*kaffeine*' | grep -e '^ii' | awk '{ print $1,$2,$3 }' ii kaffeine 0.7.1-1.2 ii kaffeine-gstreamer 0.7.1-1.2 ii kaffeine-mozilla 0.4.3.1-1 ii kaffeine-xine 0.7.1-1.2 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# dpkg -l '*xine*' | grep -e '^ii' | awk '{ print $1,$2,$3 }' ii amarok-xine 1.3.5-1 ii gxine 0.4.8-0.1 ii kaffeine-xine 0.7.1-1.2 ii libarts1-xine 3.4.2-2 ii libxine1 1.0.1-1.3 ii libxinerama-dev 6.8.2.dfsg.1-9 ii libxinerama1 6.8.2.dfsg.1-9 ii totem-xine 1.0.4-1 ii xine-ui 0.99.3-1.1 ii xinetd 2.3.13-3 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# dpkg -l '*alsa*' | grep -e '^ii' | awk '{ print $1,$2,$3 }' ii alsa-base 1.0.9b-4 ii alsa-oss 1.0.9-1 ii alsa-source 1.0.9b-4 ii alsa-utils 1.0.9a-4 ii alsamixergui 0.9.0rc2-1-9 ii alsaplayer-alsa 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-common 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-daemon 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-esd 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-gtk 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-nas 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-oss 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-text 0.99.76-7 ii alsaplayer-xosd 0.99.76-7 ii gnome-alsamixer 0.9.6-1 ii gstreamer0.8-alsa 0.8.11-2 ii libalsaplayer-dev 0.99.76-7 ii libalsaplayer0 0.99.76-7 ii libclalsadrv1 1.0.1-3 ii libsdl1.2debian-alsa 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3 ii snd-gtk-alsa 7.8-1 ii xmp-alsa 2.0.4d-9 While playing a movie, I use xine engine, ALSA audio - it do not work (it worked fine before) - this error message dialog Audio output unavailable. Bug#336309: libmysql-ruby1.8: 2.7-1 causes segfaults
Package: libmysql-ruby1.8 Version: 2.4.5-6.1 Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software The upgrade to libmysqlclient14 means that when you use apache2 with mod-php4 and the php mysql lib (which still uses libmysqlclient12) that everything starts segfaulting as apache2 tries to load two versions of libmysqlclient, one for libmysql-ruby (when using mod-ruby and a script which uses mysql) and one for php. Bug#332434: storebackup: Several security problems (already fixed in sid/testing)
Hi Martin Schulze schrieb: http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CAN-2005-3146 seems fixed by the newly introduced checkDelSymlink() function, which was added to ten different places in the code (not all of which might be security sensitive, but at least two operate directly on temporary files). This does not eliminate the vulnerability but only shortens the vulnerable window. An attacker can still re-create the link between the unlink() and the open() calls. The proper action would be to use File::Temp or something similar. Though the whole passing around temporary file names and reopening them in another function seems broken to me, see -outRandom and others. Searching for uses of $tmpdir in StoreBackup.pl and reveals a dozend or so places where filenames in /tmp are passed to functions which then open them writable without any checks (though with randomized suffixes). Some of these files are then opened again later. I'm not competent on this whole tempfile race issue but I don't like this. I'm now building a 1.18 package for stable with your fixes, one day I have to replace the filename passing stuff by filehandle passing, but this will happen in a current version. Shall I build a deb with your patches for you? regards, 2ri -- Secure email, spread GPG, clearsign all mail. http://www.gnupg.org . Bug#332274: muine and gtk-sharp2 2.3.x
Apologies for not replying earlier -- I didn't get your reply because mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] does not automatically reach the submitter, just the maintainer (but then noticed it while browsing the BTS). Dave Beckett [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: When muine jumped the gun on gtk-sharp2 2.3.91, it did so only for i386; on other architectures, the autobuilders naturally continued to use 1.9.5. ... nope. It requires gtk-sharp2 1.9.2+ and was uploaded with that dependency in the build which is recorded in, for example, the i386 deb. Any 2.3.x series gtk-sharp2 appeared after the last muine was built. If this fails to build muine, please report that as a bug explaining it or update this one. My concern is with runtime dependencies, not build-dependencies -- the issue is that gtk-sharp2's .clilibs files conservatively impose both a minimum *and a maximum* version: e.g., libgtk2.0-cil (= 1.9.5), libgtk2.0-cil ( 1.9.6) or libgtk2.0-cil (= 2.3.90), libgtk2.0-cil ( 2.5.0) When you built 0.8.3-7 on i386, you seem to have built it against 2.3.91, leading to #329906; the subsequent upload of gtk-sharp2 2.3.91 to unstable resolved that for i386, but left packages built for other architectures, with dependencies on 1.9.6 or older, in the lurch. ... As such, could you please reupload the package, preferably with updated build-dependencies to be safe? You don't say what to update. require gtk-sharp2 1.9.x? No, require 2.3.90 or newer, though I imagine all the buildds have that by now anyway. Also your report was made on amd64 / x86_64 which is not a debian project architecture. Please report bugs against an architecture that the project supports. As the bottom of http://qa.debian.org/debcheck.php?dist=unstablepackage=muine indicates, the official powerpc .deb has the same problem. (There appear to be no packages for any other architectures.) -- Aaron M. Bug#334691: prefer_unicode variable not set
First some observations about reproducing this bug. If charset iso-8859-7 is added as the first line of the provided keymap, loadkeys accepts it. This is why the gr-utf8 keymap in console-tools works - it has a charset line at the top. Now why the bug happens. The 430_read_keymaps_fmt patch, added in 0.2.3dbs-57, introduces the prefer_unicode variable in lib/ksyms.c. This variable is used instead of checking whether the console is in UTF-8 mode; however it is never set anywhere. If this variable is unconditionally set to 1, the keymap supplied by the reporter is loaded correctly. However setting prefer_unicode either to 1 or 0 unconditionally is presumably not the correct behaviour. It should be 1 iff the console is in UTF-8 mode or the user specified the -u flag. Since kbdtools/loadkeys.c calls set_charset(unicode) in either of these cases, set_charset would appear to be the place to set the prefer_unicode variable. The following patch does that: diff -Naru2 console-tools-0.2.3.orig/lib/ksyms.c console-tools-0.2.3/lib/ksyms.c --- console-tools-0.2.3.orig/lib/ksyms.c2005-10-29 17:06:31.0 +0100 +++ console-tools-0.2.3/lib/ksyms.c 2005-10-29 17:07:45.0 +0100 @@ -1669,6 +1669,9 @@ int i; - if (!strcasecmp(charset, unicode)) + if (!strcasecmp(charset, unicode)) { + prefer_unicode = 1; return 0; + } + prefer_unicode = 0; for (i = 1; i sizeof(charsets)/sizeof(charsets[0]); i++) { -- Martin Orr -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#330191: Success using klibc/initramfs-tools on sparc
tags 330191 patch thanks Hi, I've investigated the stat() problem a bit and found that the definition of 'struct stat' in klibc's include/arch/sparc64/archstat.h is (most probably) incorrect. I've written a simple test case using stat() function and then looked at preprocessed source, which includes the 'struct stat' definition (from glibc headers) and copied that to include/arch/sparc64/archstat.h. That required changing the storage size for some fields, rearranging them, and adding some padding fields where neccessary. Attached patch implements these changes. With this change and the increased value of the delay after udevsynthesize (mentioned above), I was able to successfully boot my ultra5 box. Bug#333980: [mips/mipsel] FTBFS caused by -Werror
Patch looks okay to me, as it enables -Wno-error only for the single file that fails to build with -Werror, itbl-lex.c, and there's already a number of -Werror exemptions in the binutils tree for files generated by bison/yacc. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. udev can create /dev/fuse itself, so this patch does it only if udev is not in use. A device in /dev/.static/dev/ is created anyway, though, otherwise fuse would be broken if the user uninstalled udev. -- /---\ Shh, be vewy, vewy quiet, | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | I'm hunting wuntime ewwows! \---/ Segmentation fault (core dumped)diff -urd fuse-2.4.0/debian/fuse-utils.postinst fuse-2.4.0.new/debian/fuse-utils.postinst --- fuse-2.4.0/debian/fuse-utils.postinst 2005-10-29 17:11:34.370704720 +0200 +++ fuse-2.4.0.new/debian/fuse-utils.postinst 2005-10-29 17:25:10.989559784 +0200 @@ -58,6 +58,19 @@ set_option FUSE_GROUPDELETE $RET chmod 0644 $CONFFILE + +if [ -d /dev/.static/dev ] + then + device=/dev/.static/dev/fuse + else + device=/dev/fuse +fi +if [ ! -c $device ] + then +mknod -m 0660 $device c 10 229 +chown root:$NEWGROUP $device +fi + ;; abort-upgrade|abort-remove|abort-deconfigure) diff -urd fuse-2.4.0/debian/fuse-utils.postrm fuse-2.4.0.new/debian/fuse-utils.postrm --- fuse-2.4.0/debian/fuse-utils.postrm 2005-10-29 17:11:34.371704568 +0200 +++ fuse-2.4.0.new/debian/fuse-utils.postrm 2005-10-29 17:22:15.922174072 +0200 @@ -16,6 +16,15 @@ test -x /usr/bin/ucf ucf --purge $CONFFILE rm -f $CONFFILE dpkg-statoverride --remove /usr/bin/fusermount 2/dev/null || true + +if [ -d /dev/.static/dev ] + then + device=/dev/.static/dev/fuse + else + device=/dev/fuse +fi +rm -rf $device + ;; failed-upgrade|upgrade)
