Bug#363010: preload: postinst script fails: executable format error

2006-04-17 Thread Torok Edwin
Package: preload
Version: 0.2-5
Severity: serious
Tags: patch
Justification: Policy 6.1

When installing preload:

Setting up preload (0.2-5) ...
dpkg (subprocess): unable to execute post-installation script: Exec format error
dpkg: error processing preload (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2
 Errors were encountered while processing:
  preload
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

This is caused by an extra newline at the beginning of the postinst script,
before the #! line.
Removing that newline fixes the postinst script.

Is it possible that there is something wrong with your computer,

Package: wmtune
Version: 1.1-1
Severity: serious

Hello,

This is a serious bug filed against your package because it
build-depends on xlibs-dev, which as announced in [1] a while ago, is
no longer available in sid. This makes your package fail to build from
  source.

[1] http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00022.html

To fix this bug, you need to update your build-dependencies and
substitute xlibs-dev for the list of individual X development
libraries that your package needs to be built. You can find detailed
information about how to do that in the DependsXlibsDev wiki page [2].

[2] http://wiki.debian.org/DependsXlibsDev

As indicated by the Release Team [3], the full transition from XFree86
to Xorg is a release blocker for Etch, which means that Etch will not
be released until this bug is fixed (or your package removed from
testing). So, please, try to fix in a timely manner.

[3] http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/10/msg4.html

The number of affected packages by the xlibs-dev transition is huge,
so if you feel like helping with patches or uploads, feel free to
follow the instructions contained in the wiki page above. A list of
affected packages can be found here [4].

[4] http://people.debian.org/~adeodato/release-usertag/transition-xlibs-dev

Finally, if there's a strong reason for which your package should not
be NMUed, please note so in this bug report. Prospective NMUers will
read your reasoning, and will decide if it's strong enough to delay
  their upload.

  Thanks for your collaboration!

Bug#362885: x11-common: unable to upgrade, rmdir: /usr/X11R6/bin: Directory not empty

2006-04-17 Thread Eduard Bloch
#include hallo.h
* Steve Langasek [Sun, Apr 16 2006, 04:58:25PM]:

If you ask me, I think it's better to keep the vast majority of irritating
bugs confined to unstable, and only make users of stable deal with the
single issue of moving their files out of /usr/X11R6/bin; which is why I
asked David to implement this transition when it became clear that things
were breaking because of the move to /usr/bin.

I agree with most of your arguments, especially because our default bash
PATH is still pointing to /usr/X11R6/bin, but there is one thing which I
actually reported... if there is cruft remaining in the directory, the
whole upgrade should _not_ break.

Implementing an unsafe single rmdir and hope that it won't
fail is IMO not a proper solution. If the directory must be moved out
of the way, then it should be renamed. Or the old contents need to be
moved to the new location, possible correcting symlinks (tell me if you
wish me to write a perl script to implement this reallocation, I wanted
to do that anyway).

And sorry if I repeated something already reaported and you needed to
repeat answers, but the problems are there, and there would be much less
bug reports if we had a d-d-a announcement, etc.

Eduard.

Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

After the upgrade to version 7 of xorg, the screensaver is completely

AIUI, the non-freeness issue I raised on xorg-modular, would certainly
   violate the DFSG?

I missed your message at xorg-modular, when did you make it?

I looked and couldn't find it. Which is odd. I probably sent it from
the wrong address, so it got bounced.

For reference, the upstream copyright file:
  http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/xorg/xc/extras/ttf2pt1/COPYRIGHT?view=markup

I misremembered (confusing it with the stupid libXaw copyright issue):
  it's not actually DFSG-non-free, but just GPL-incompatible IIRC --
  advertising clause.

Yes, that's right, just the advertising clause. My guess is they
generically grabbed the BSD licence at the time. A nice solution would
be if ttf2pt1 changed their licence to modern BSD. I might ask them.

That would be great.

Though the Type1 assembler is one of those
'licences are easy, I'll just write one myself' types. :\

Cool! Thanks for volunteering to do it ;)

Heh.

This will all clear up much more easily once Debian has upgraded to
   X11R7.1.

Right. Given they're modules, an upload of just the newer versions of
x11proto-fixes and libxfont could be done? This is, after all, the
Grand Unified New Modular Reality. :)

It'd be nice if that's true, and it would make sense. Older xserver
code simply wouldn't use the two new xfixes functions. However someone
at #xorg said he wasn't sure it was that simple, and that it might
destabilise the system. I can't judge whether he is being overly
 pessimistic or not.

I'm all for uploading the newer Fixes and Font if it's safe to do so.

He's just being overly pessimistic. It's fine.

Nope -- but xserver-xorg did, by just changing to accept discover as an
 (apparently untested) alternative to discover1.

Well, I guess the correct call to discover should be:

discover --disable-bus=all --enable-bus=pci --format=%V %M\t%S\t%D\n video

But that gives me:

discover: Bus not found.

and nothing else. The same happens even calling 'discover video', so I
think this is a discover problem and not one related to xorg.

Installing discover1 solved the problem.

Ok, I'm not even going to try to process this bug. You're using reportbug,
which is one of the best tools available for gathering information about
your system, but you've managed to use it completely wrong and file a bug
against a package (xserver) that doesn't exist and never did.

Please re-submit this bug against a real package that's actually installed
on your system, instead of ignoring the Uninstalled/non-existent package
message that reportbug gives you when filing bugs against xserver. If
possible, please figure out which of the X video drivers is actually used on
your system, and file the bug report against that package specifically.

Not if you're using the current cairo packages from unstable.

Package: tktable-dev
Version: 2.9-1
Severity: grave
Justification: 8.6: when a package is built which contains any shared
libraries, it must provide a `shlibs' file for other packages to use

The package doesn't include a .shlibs file. There is some
disagreement about whether this shared library is meant to be used by
other packages; but it seems that since it is a separate package, that
must be the intent, so the requirement to include a shlibs file holds.
Also, the existence of a nondirectory under /usr/lib/ is indicitive of
the intent to

Additionally:

/usr/share/man/man3/ is included in the -dev package, but without
  any manpages.

/usr/bin/ is included in the -dev package without including any
  binaries.

/usr/share/doc/tktable/html/ is included in the -dev package.

The package name don't match /^lib/.

Hi, I'm willing to fix that problem for good, by providing that
service on qa.debian.org. Is it possible to have the relevant
  cron/scripts installed on qa.debian.org.

Although I'm not a maintainer and am just a admin of target machine,
 maintainer's script looks very simple.

 Maintainer runs cron every hour:
 rsync -L -vaz --include=*/ --include=*.gz --include=*.status
 --exclude=* -e ssh merkel.debian.org:apt-listbugs public_html

Yes, it means that original database already exists on
 merkel(aka qa.debian.org):~taru/apt-listbugs.

The traffic is about 500,000-900,000 hits per week on our server.

haha, that's marvelous. thank you, I think this service will be moved on
qa.debian.org for etch, and the load will be transferwd quietly to
merkel.

Bug#361085: denyhosts-python2.4: /usr/bin/denyhosts contains incorrect shebang

2006-04-17 Thread Steve Langasek
reassign 361085 denyhosts-common 2.2-1
tags 361085 -patch
thanks

The provided patch is incorrect. You cannot just change the interpreter
line to point to python2.4 instead of python, because this package doesn't
*depend* on python2.4 -- it depends on python. However, it also depends on
denyhosts-python2.3 | denyhosts-python2.4, which is wrong because this
dependency is not guaranteed to match the version of python that's installed
as /usr/bin/python!

You need to pick a python version for denyhosts-common to depend on and make
all your dependencies match, not give users choices that may leave the
package unusable.

BTW,

excuse me, if I not explained this little detail: Phil, your init script
isn't LSB-compilant (must be shell posix and not python) so i writed one
for debian system [1]. Your workaround can't work on a debian system.

This is nonsense; there is no requirement that Debian init scripts be either
LSB compliant or written in POSIX shell. Debian's requirements of init
scripts are outlined in policy.

Bug#357301: eclipse randomly crashes, usually at startup

2006-04-17 Thread César Enrique García Dabó

I have tried eclipse again last week and it seems to work. It doesn't crash
anymore, altough I am still testing it. I have updated many packages in my
testing distribution since the last time I tried eclipse, so it seems to me
that the problem was in other package.
Important packages that I recently upgraded that could have solved the
problem are: j2re1.4, libstdc++5, libstdc++6, libgnomeui-0, libpango1.0-0,
libgcc1, libcsiro0, lsb-base, jikes, make, libdb4.4, .. Maybe if someone has
the same problem, upgrading your system may help.
So, it is OK for me to close the bug,
 Cheers,
 Quique

   I reproduced it below.
   The java version used is:

The stack trace seems to end at
 org.eclipse.jface.bindings.keys.formatting.AbstractKeyFormatter.format(Lorg

doesn't execute any native code. So I can exclude any problem which may
 occur with the SWT libs.

I would assume that it is an error of your vm. As we do not support
closed source software, you have to contact someone else.

I have tried with sable-vm, but it randomly get hang, without response.
I have also tried with kaffe, but it runs tremondously slowly and
finally it also crashes (I found no log file).

I don't know much sablevm and it is known that kaffe is very slow. And
a new package for kaffe 1.1.7 is not available ATM.

I have good experiences with gcj and cacao, which you should try.

As I don't see any bugs I can solve, I will close this report.

 Hi:

I'm attaching a patch that solves this issue in the init script.
I'm aware that it is not the best solution, it would be better that
the program would write the pidfile on its own, but i think this is
 an upstream problem.
Thanks for the patch, but I also think that an upstream solution would
be better here.
As upstream has always been very responsive and kind so far, I put him
in copy here.

Patrick, this is about http://bugs.debian.org/360713

Besides, the last packaged version is 1.2.1, and last upstream
 version is 1.2.2 (published 05/03/27).
I know, I'm looking for a sponsor for this, the package has been ready
for a lng time now (and I use it myself happily ever since on
several machines, but without a fix for this bug) here:
http://apt.bxlug.be/sarge/sources (for sources package) and

no, this error was ignored in a previous version of dh_gencontrol, and

---BeginMessage---
Package: gnuserv
Version: 3.12.7-1

Bug#363061: tetex-extra: palatcm.sty is non-free

2006-04-17 Thread Frank Küster
Package: tetex-extra
Version: 3.0-16bpo1
Severity: serious

palatcm.sty contains a license statement that requires renaming, which
is okay according to DFSG #4:

,
| %%% Copyright (C) 1994 Aloysius G. Helminck. All rights reserved.
| %%% Permission is granted to to customize the declarations in this
| %%% file to serve the needs of your installation. However, no permission
| %%% is granted to distribute a modified version of this file under
| %%% its original name.
`

But it doesn't even allow use - don't know whether this is implicitly
granted?

The fd files in the same directory don't have any copyright or license
statement at all; don't know whether they need one.

And I don't know whether this package is still useful today at all...

It did not fail here, the upgrade from sarge amavisd-new to Etch amavisd-new

Anyway, I can reproduce the purge bug with the steps you describe, so I will
be able to track this down. Thank you very much for the recipe on how to
reproduce it.

 Well, now I get
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 20

I didn't get this, but status 20 is typical of bad use of debconf. I will
do an once over our scripts, in order to address the complaint about
non-essential packages as well.

Is that defined? Where are you getting these definitions from?

The debconf spec, sysexits.h and POSIX (for the signals from shell).

Hello,

As announced in [0], su behavior will change.
contrib/init_gnunet_ubuntu in the gnunet source package executes commands
with su without quoting them or using su's -c option.
(I don't know if this file is used on Debian)

The patched version should be compatible with the old and future su.

You can find a login package in experimental if you want to test the
patch.

When the new login package will reach unstable, the severity of this bug
will be raised.

Bug#363074: nas_1.7-8: FTBFS: Missing build dependency?

2006-04-17 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Package: nas
Version: 1.7-8
Severity: serious

Hi,

Your package is failing to build with the following error:
gcc -o audemo audemo.o -g -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing
../../../lib/audio/libaudio.a -lXt -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lm

-lXp -lXext -lX11
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXp
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

this looks like a missing build dependency on libxp-dev.

2006-04-17 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Package: pyopengl
Version: 2.0.1.09-2

Hi,

Your package is failing to build because it build depends on
xlibmesa-glu-dev | libglu-dev but the first of those doesn't
exist, and is the only one that's being tried.

libglu-dev is a virtual package provided by libglu1-mesa-dev, so
you should probably change to that.

Bug#362952: amavisd-new: fails to purge

2006-04-17 Thread Henrique de Moraes Holschuh
On Sun, 16 Apr 2006, Henrique de Moraes Holschuh wrote:
On Sun, 16 Apr 2006, Justin Pryzby wrote:
  dpkg: error processing amavisd-new (--purge):
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 128

Exit status 128 is an unusual return status. Moreover, debconf should never
return it. WTF? 129 would be killed by SIGHUP, but 128 has no definition.

If we cannot reproduce this, it will be quite hard to find out what is
 happening :(

Tracked down to dh_installdebconf-induced breakage.

dh_installdebconf inserts code into the postrm which calls db_purge
(unprotected, but a debconf protocol dump shows that PURGE returns status
0). It fails to call db_stop, as warned by #133029.

This leaves our postinst will all stdout output redirected into confmodule,
which seems to cause the mess.

Editing /var/lib/dpkg/info/amavisd-new.postrm first line to #!/bin/sh -x
shows that, as expected, calling confmodule in the middle of the script is
an extremely dumb thing to do, as it runs part of the script twice...

Instead of moving #DEBHELPER# to the top of the script, or trying to
second-guess what kind of mess we could get into yet again, I am disabling
debhelper-included dh_installdebconf scripts, and doing it by ourselves.

Report cc'ed to #133029 so that Joey can be reminded of that report, and
that it does cause issues on real world packages (note that I am not blaming
the bug on debhelper, it is just that our usage is not compatible with the
script it produces).

Just for the kick of it, here's the full dump, with debconf protocol debug
enabled.

(steps to reproduce):
login in a sarge chroot (pbuilder, new debootstrap one)
apt-get install amavisd-new
sed -i s/sarge/testing/g /etc/apt/sources.list
apt-get update ; apt-get install amavisd-new

(amavisd-new will be upgraded correctly)

export DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer
sed -i '1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]@#!/bin/sh -x@'

I think I have found a security flaw in kphone:
it creates ~/.qt/kphonerc world-readable! This file contains the user's
SIP-password and so on, so I guess this is a bad thing, because the
~/.qt dir itself is by default also readable by everybody.

I removed the whole ~/.qt dir and restarted kphone: same behaviour.

Sven

Bug#361984: pgpool: postinst failure (No such file or directory)

2006-04-17 Thread Rupa Schomaker
I experienced the same problem with pgpool. Adding the -c option to
su fixed it for me.

Perhaps the problem is shell dependant?

I'm using /bin/bash.

Bug#362431: xorg: missing modules

2006-04-17 Thread Joshua Kite

Right

After many, many hours and much reading of forums I have restored my X
environment although at the moment only with the nv driver, not the
nvidia driver. The problem is clearly a result of the change in module
location and package naming with the move from xorg 6.x = xorg 7 and so
I consider it to be the package maintainers' 'fault' and for them to
address. Here is what I did:

Firstly I had to generate a 'virgin' new /etc/X11/xorg.conf .

dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

did NOT work (complaining of a customised file) and so I had to

mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.old.20060417

The new xorg.conf looked very different indeed to the old one based on
the old xfree86 XF86config-4 from the XF86 = xorg transition.

I still had problems with 'missing' modules which the following 'fixed'

ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/* /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers
ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/* /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions

I now found that although I could startx manually, I could not get a
graphical login to come up automatically, gdm complained 'Xserver not
found...' . I 'fixed' this with

ln -s /usr/bin/Xorg /usr/X11R6/bin/X

I am now back to an (unaccelerated) graphical login: X complains Failed
to initialize GLX extension (compatible NVIDIA X driver not found).
Naturally I have abandoned the Debian nvidia packages long ago (never
really used them) and reinstalled the official nvidia 8756 'pkg-run'
installer several times without further success. I presume that this glx
problem will also be a location problem as with the rest and that this
would explain the ubuntu situation which I described previously- the
kernel loads the nvidia module but x won't use it. I don't have any more
time to play with his right now but I hope that this sorry situation can
be fixed by the package maintainers ASAP since it would seem everything
is there but x is looking in the wrong places for the things it needs
now that we have moved to xorg 7x.

Thanks especially to Jerome for your help and support

Joshua Kite

Hello

The newest dist-upgrade removes tightvncserver because of its dependency
on xserver-common which itself became replaced by the new xserver-xorg
package.
So it is not installable any more on an up-to-date Sid.

Temporary workaround: do not install the 1:7.0.10 version of
xserver-xorg package

As mentioned earlier, it must be a discover problem in the script.
Apparently this also gets around bug #363021

Thanks!

Indeed this worked around the problem for me. I was hit by #362891.

I've fixed this problem by porting over the old discover_video function
from the 6.9 branch. I didn't realize that it has been altered to remove
support for discover2 in Ubuntu, and since I had only discover1 installed
on my own system I never saw this error. I'll be uploading this fix
shortly. Thanks again everyone.

Bug#362431: xorg: missing modules

2006-04-17 Thread Daniel Stone
On Mon, Apr 17, 2006 at 04:05:40PM +0100, Joshua Kite wrote:

I started responding to your post in pieces, but then I realised that
you're using the proprietary NVIDIA driver. Which explains why it's not
working.

There are numerous documented workarounds for this; please continue
searching (I don't have them to hand), as it is not Debian's problem.

Bug#362940: Latest update broke gdm and can't find default fixed font

upgrading to xorg-xserver version 7.0.12 broke my system. GDM complains
because it cannot find xserver executable:

GDM: Xserver not found: /usr/X11R6/bin/X ...
   ERROR: Command cannot be executed

This should not be possible. Your reportbug template claims that you have
x11-common 1:7.0.12 installed, but this package provides both /usr/bin/X,
  and /usr/X11R6/bin as a symlink to /usr/bin.

Please provide the output of these commands:

  $ ls -ld /usr/X11R6/bin /usr/X11R6/bin/X /usr/bin/X
  $ dpkg -l x11-common

This is possible if you have xearth installed - it sits in
/usr/X11R6/bin/X, and the upgrade path doesn't install the symlink,
leaving you without a working /usr/X11R6/bin/X for gdm. Uninstalling
xearth and redoing the upgrade fixed it here.

It was opera in my case. Thank you and Steve for helping out.

  it actually installs /usr/lib/liblapack_atlas.so.3

Actually, atlas should provide symlinks via the alternative system.

Ah. I wondered if that was the case. I found the alternatives for
liblapack2, but not for liblapack3 when when I checked earlier, but
let's see what your commands bring ...

[EMAIL PROTECTED]/usr/sbin/update-alternatives --display liblapack-3.so
No alternatives for liblapack-3.so.

So, did my atlas install get damaged somehow? Or is atlas3 not
providing alternatives anymore? I checked through
/var/lib/dpkg/info/atlas3-base.* and did not see any evidence of
update-alternatives in the maintainer scripts.

I've got atlas3-base version 3.6.0-20 installed.

Thanks,
-Steve

P.S. The link /usr/lib/liblapack2.so is broken, so I imagine that
something failed to clean up when atlas2 was removed.

Bug#323815: reopened: bzflag: shoots trough other players

2006-04-17 Thread Tim Riker
Very sorry to hear that this was not fixed.

Other had report that recompiling fixed the issue, so the working theory
was that it was a glitch in the toolchain that has since been resolved.

Can you try rebuilding from the sources and see if that fixes it?

Pay special attention to any changes in the libraries in use by the
bzflag binaries.

The x11-common preinst script sources /usr/share/debconf/confmodule
unconditionally, but x11-common does not pre-depend on debconf. Since
debconf is not Essential, this is an RC bug.

I suspect that the only use of db_* in x11-common.preinst belongs in a
.config script, not in the preinst script, since the only thing being done
is renaming some debconf questions in the database.

Perhaps the problem is shell dependant?

It looks like this is caused by a change of behavior in su. Will fix.

 Hi,

Due to /usr/lib/libXcursor.la removal from libxcursor-dev since 1.1.5.2, it is
no more possible to build gnome-control-center.

That's not a bug from gnome-control-center but from the libs installed
which have to be rebuilt to drop their mention of libXcursor.la

Bug#362431: xorg: missing modules

2006-04-17 Thread Joshua Kite

Dear Daniel

I am sorry if my last post offended you; I had found these difficulties
extremely frustrating and on re-reading, it seems that my post was
unnecessarily abrasive. I don't really understand what you mean by
saying that it's not working BECAUSE I have been trying to use the
Nvidia driver. I know that in the past, Debian did not support the
nvidia binary drivers and I can well understand this, since they have
no 'control' over them. However two things make this puzzling now:
less importantly, the nvidia-glx packages in non-free (not installable
with xorg 7) and more importantly the problems I have encountered with
gdm and xorg.conf. Surely something needs to be done to address what
are essentially compatibility issues between xorg 6x and xorg 7x caused
by different directory structures. At the very least the upgrade needs
to address these so that the GPL 'nv' driver can be used 'out of the
box' which is not possible at the moment. I recall that the Mozilla
Firefox maintainers addressed similar issues in the past by symlinking
from the old named components to the new name ones, maybe a similar
approach would be helpful here?

Thanks

Joshua

After many, many hours and much reading of forums I have restored my X
environment although at the moment only with the nv driver, not the
nvidia driver. The problem is clearly a result of the change in module
location and package naming with the move from xorg 6.x = xorg 7 and so
I consider it to be the package maintainers' 'fault' and for them to
address. Here is what I did:

Firstly I had to generate a 'virgin' new /etc/X11/xorg.conf .

dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

did NOT work (complaining of a customised file) and so I had to

mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.old.20060417

The new xorg.conf looked very different indeed to the old one based on
the old xfree86 XF86config-4 from the XF86 = xorg transition.

I still had problems with 'missing' modules which the following 'fixed'

ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/* /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers
ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/* /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions

I now found that although I could startx manually, I could not get a
graphical login to come up automatically, gdm complained 'Xserver not
found...' . I 'fixed' this with

ln -s /usr/bin/Xorg /usr/X11R6/bin/X

I am now back to an (unaccelerated) graphical login: X complains "Failed
to initialize GLX extension (compatible NVIDIA X driver not found)".

I started responding to your post in pieces, but then I realised that
you're using the proprietary NVIDIA driver. Which explains why it's not
working.

There are numerous documented workarounds for this; please continue
searching (I don't have them to hand), as it is not Debian's problem.

 Hi,

Kino doesnt build from source due to /usr/lib/libXcursor.la removal from
 libxcursor-dev 1.1.5.2.

Hi,

Your package is failing to build with the following error:
checking for X11... configure: error: Package requirements (x11)
were not met:

No package 'x11' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables X11_CFLAGS
and X11_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

This looks like a missing build dependency on libx11-dev (= 1:1.0.0)

Bug#362786: zgrep gives Syntaxerror since Sarge

Hello Justin,

Since when? grep hasn't changed. You might check /var/log/dpkg.log.

Since Sarge...

/bin/zgrep: 103: Syntax error: Bad substitution

What shell are you using as /bin/sh ? Line 103 of zgrep is:

Bash.

   i=$(echo $i | sed -e 's/[\\|]/\\/g')

What if you replace that with:

   i=`echo $i | sed -e 's/[\\|]/\\/g'`

The same problem, because of sed. I had some scripts allready
which do not like my old RegExp. It seems, the RegExp used in
zgrep does not more work

Could you try running the script with set -x?

Yes, but it is definitivly the RegExp from sed, which does not
more work.

Greetings

The real problem is that libxp is one of the libs that's still in
/usr/X11R6/lib, invisible now to the autoconf macros. That's a bug in
libxp, not in nas; the fix is currently sitting in the NEW queue.

Thanks,

 This makes the package unusable.

This is a bug in the library, not in the application.

Bug#337283: trac: Additional details and question

2006-04-17 Thread Rudy Godoy
Package: trac
Version: 0.9.4-2
Followup-For: Bug #337283

More news from what I've found.
The upgrade was from libsqlite3-0 3.2.8-1 - 3.3.5-0.1 then trac stopped to
work.
Apparently trac.db is in 3.x format. I'm able to dump and query it using
sqlite3.
sqlite (old version) can't read it, says it's encrypted and so.
I've installed python-pysqlite2 2.2 from unstable but the error is the same
(I'm copying it below)
I'm still unable to proprely run trac.
I'm still not sure if reopen this or file another bug.

Bug#362931: commented out xmkmf call?

2006-04-17 Thread Ryan Murray
For some reason, the package has this in debian/rules:
# Add here commands to compile the package.
#/usr/bin/xmkmf
/usr/bin/make

The call to xmkmf is commented out. This call is needed to both fix the
installation paths, and to get the correct build options for each architecture.
