Hello: In this case I think we could resolve this bug marking as a duplicate of #417416 which is closed and hence this will be considered close. Thanks -- Raúl Sánchez Siles ->Proud Debian user<- Linux registered user #416098 signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
Bug#441268: addition
May have to do with spell checking: Things went smoother after switching off Spell-as-you-type, nevertheless this behavior is new and and I used SAYT before on a regular basis. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

For the proper working of the demo application it seems to be enough to chown /usr/share/karrigell/webapps/demo/records.skl. Find attached a patch that implements this change. Bug#441269: Trademark violation: Energy Star logo
Package: kdebase-data Severity: serious The file /usr/share/apps/kcontrol/pics/energybig.png contains the Energy Star logo. I don't think this kind of use is permitted under EPA's trademark guidelines. kcontrol display the logo in the Display section; I'm not sure if this comes from the same file, or if it's directly compiled into some binary. In the latter case, this needs to be patched as well. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#441268: icedove eats almost all CPU cycles
Package: icedove Version: 1.5.0.12.dfsg1-0etch1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Icedove accesses IAMP folders remotely over an excellent WAN connection inside the same provider's network (from home to office) with an SSL connection. It reads the folders, downloads messages. So far so good. Even started as "icedove -safe-mode", when I open a draft of some 20kb the window opens slowly and then CPU usage goes up to 89 to 98% and even switching from the To: field to the subject line takes ages (a minute or longer). Sometimes icedove crashed during my various attempts to write the email. Even switching off Spell-as-you-type took ten seconds or so. I will have to use kmail for the time being. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: LANG=de_AT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_AT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_AT.UTF-8) Versions of packages icedove depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.11Debian configuration management sy ii libatk1.0-01.12.4-3 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.2.4-4 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfontconfig1 2.4.2-1.2 generic font configuration library ii libgcc11:4.1.1-21GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-02.8.20-7 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpango1.0-0 1.14.8-5 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-1PNG library - runtime ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor11.1.7-4 X cursor management library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxfixes3 1:4.0.1-5 X11 miscellaneous 'fixes' extensio ii libxft22.1.8.2-8 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxi6 1:1.0.1-4 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 1:1.0.1-4.1 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxrandr2 2:1.1.0.2-5 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender11:0.9.1-3 X Rendering Extension client libra ii libxt6 1:1.0.2-2 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii myspell-de-at [myspell 20051113-5Austrian (German) dictionary for m ii myspell-de-de [myspell 20051113-5German dictionary for myspell ii myspell-en-us [myspell 1:2.0.4~rc1-3 English_american dictionary for my ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13compression library - runtime icedove recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * icedove/browser: Debian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#437020: apt-listbugs fails with "W: Mandatory parameter 'bug' missing in call to Debbugs::Status::get_bug_status"
The problem is reoccurring, but it seems it takes a specific combination of packages to make it happen. I have no idea what's special about that combination, but it causes the server to choke with that error. I can currently reproduce this with the following command: /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs list openoffice.org-core openoffice.org-officebean This bug clearly should be reopened. -- Kevin Brown [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#439495: maint-guide: FTBFS: debiandoc2latexps: ERROR: maint-guide.ko.dvi could not be generated properly
Hi, You know we are going through transition with tex -> texlive. You may file important or serious bug on debiandoc-sgml since this issue should be fixed there (instead of disabling pdf build for Korean which is easy but with no real benefit.) So I keep this bug as my reminder while working on real issues. So if this becomes really RC, let's disable PDF building for Korean then. Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: sqlite Version: 2.8.17-2 Severity: grave Tags: security Hi, A CVE was published for sqlite2: CVE-2007-1888[0]: Buffer overflow in the sqlite_decode_binary function in src/encode.c in SQLite 2, as used by PHP 4.x through 5.x and other applications, allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via an empty value of the in parameter. NOTE: some PHP installations use a bundled version of sqlite without this vulnerability. The SQLite developer has argued that this issue could be due to a misuse of the sqlite_decode_binary() API. Bug#441233: CVE-2007-1888 possible code execution via sqlite_decode_binary
Package: sqlite Version: 2.8.17-2 Severity: grave Tags: security Hi, A CVE was published for sqlite2: CVE-2007-1888[0]: Buffer overflow in the sqlite_decode_binary function in src/encode.c in SQLite 2, as used by PHP 4.x through 5.x and other applications, allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via an empty value of the in parameter. NOTE: some PHP installations use a bundled version of sqlite without this vulnerability. The SQLite developer has argued that this issue could be due to a misuse of the sqlite_decode_binary() API. I already a a fixed package ready so I am going to 0-day NMU this package to fix this. Bug#441221: get postscript error when printing
Package: cupsys Version: 1.3.0-3 Severity: serious --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Sometime recently printing started failing. I get the following error in cups_error: E [07/Sep/2007:09:19:17 -0400] [Job 584] pdpr: 5010-606 The value postscript that was specified or defaulted for attribute document-format is not supported by the destination or by any of its associated actual destinations. I keep my lenny system updated regularly and I remember recently upgrading cupsys. I don't print that often so I don't know if the failures started with the cupsys upgrade or not. I do know that the same print setup works on another lenny box I have that I haven't done the cups upgrade on. The lenny box that still works is at cupsys 1.2.11-3. My printer is a network printer with device: IBM Infoprint Manager and the and the device URI uses ipselect. This setup used to work and and still does work with backlevel packages on another lenny box. I am not sure if the problem is due to the cupsys upgrade or gs or what. Applications that used to print but are now giving the error are galeon, Iceweasel, Evince, Lotus Notes under wine, ... The strange thing is that printing a test page from the cups administration page in my browser does print. So, it would seem that the postscript that is generated might be the problem but I don't know how to figure out where the problem is. --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.18.070905 Debian Release: lenny/sid 500 testing www.debian-multimedia.org 500 testing olymp.hursley.ibm.com 500 testing debian.linux.ibm.com --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ===-+-== libavahi-compat-libdnssd1 (>= 0.6.13) | 0.6.21-1 libc6(>= 2.6-1) | 2.6.1-1+b1 libcomerr2 (>= 1.33-3) | 1.40.2-1 libcupsimage2(>= 1.3.0) | 1.3.0-3 libcupsys2 (>= 1.3.0) | 1.3.0-3 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.1.1) | 1.1.1-3 libgnutls13(>= 1.6.3-0) | 1.6.3-1 libkrb53(>= 1.6.dfsg.1) | 1.6.dfsg.1-6 libldap2 (>= 2.1.17-1) | 2.1.30-13.4 libpam0g (>= 0.76) | 0.79-4 libpaper1 | 1.1.22 libslp1 | 1.2.1-6.2 zlib1g(>= 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-1) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-5 debconf (>= 1.2.9) | 1.5.14 OR debconf-2.0 | poppler-utils | OR xpdf-utils | 3.02-1.1 perl-modules| 5.8.8-7 procps | 1:3.2.7-4 gs-esp | 8.15.3.dfsg.1-1 OR ghostscript | lsb-base (>= 3) | 3.1-24 cupsys-common | 1.3.0-3 ssl-cert(>= 1.0.11) | 1.0.14 adduser | 3.104 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#441126: gfpoken - FTBFS: montage: unable to open image `/tmp/tmp.pFPMh17125/blender//0064.png': No such file or directory.
Hi, Thanks for letting me know. This seems to be an endianness-problem in Blender, seeing that the same failure happens on mips, but not on mipsel or other little-endian architectures. (There's a different error there ;-) ). I'll file a bug there and block this one on it. In the meantime, I'll ship pre-built images and let the build work even if blender can't load the file. While I don't like using precompiled files, it is better than waiting possibly a long time for a fix which will probably not be given high priority by the Blender people.
