In current versions, e.g. src/wxterminal/gp_cairo.c is dual-licensed under the terms of that gnuplot license and the GPL. Please note that I did not look through all source files, so there might be other cases as well. Please also note that the GPL is incompatible to the gnuplot license. However, this should not impose any problems in the example cases above but it should be kept in mind when checking the copyright information of gnuplot. /usr/share/info/dir.gz
/usr/share/info/dir.old.gz
which is very likely not intentional.
First of all, these files are usually managed by install-info and thus
get overwritten regularly which causes opencubicplayer's package
checksums to fail.
Second, shipping these files triggers install-info to switch from plain
to a compressed Info directory format.
Third, (re)installing or upgrading opencubicplayer always corrupts the
Info directory this way.

I'll add libsasl2-dev to Depends for now, but I've also been thinking of clearing out the dependency_libs field as suggested in the recent debian-devel thread. (I know you know about the thread, as you've posted to it.) The reasons I'm not clearing out dependency_libs immediately are explained n my post at http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2009/08/msg00813.html, and Paul's reply at http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2009/08/msg00854.html, which indicates that libtool upstream may fix this _properly_ in the future. I guess I'll follow up and ask him if they have a timeframe for what they are talking about. The file gnome.h is in the package libgnomeui-dev. So this
package should be installed when compiling gnubiff with gnome
support enabled. I added a check in the upstream CVS so there will
be a configure message in the next released version instead of a
compiler error.
Thanks, that helps, but is not _exactly_ what is causing the problem
in Debian. In fact, libgnomeui-dev is already installed when building
gnubiff since it is a transitive build-dependency of the package.
The problem is caused by the fact that now libgnomeui has its own
pkg-config name and .pc file. Hence that name should be checked for in
configure.ac, the attached patch to that file does fix the problem.

When booting from the backup copy of the initrd the computer booted without any problem. I then took the two initrd images, unpacked them and compared their contents. There was a number of differences, but the most noticable change was that the file: conf/conf.d/cryptroot that was present in the backup initrd was missing in the new initrd. This file contained cryptographic options for establishing the LVM ontop of the Luks partition. I've copied the contents here: target=sdb2_crypt,source=/dev/sda2,key=none,rootdev,lvm=vedrfolnir-root target=sdb2_crypt,source=/dev/sda2,key=none,lvm=vedrfolnir-swap_1 Suspecting that the absence of this file was causing the problem, I copied the missing conf/conf.d/cryptroot file into the new initrd's contents and repacked the initrd file. Booting off this modified version of new initrd was successful. Therefore, I conclude that the laptop was unable to boot due to the missing conf/conf.d/cryptroot file in the initrd. it seems like the initramfs generation process is broken. unfortunately i'm unable to reproduce the bug on several different setups. please run the following command: # sh -x mkinitramfs -o /tmp/initramfs 2/tmp/initramfs.log and send /tmp/initramfs.log to the bugreport. greetings, jonas signature.asc Description: Digital signature
