Please note that this is probably going to break libpetal-perl and no
fix is available. See #582805.

Bug#631143: Don't be afraid, dovecot-antispam 1.4 is only useful for Debian stable and earlier

That is (almost) correct, the dovecot maintainers chose not to keep 1.2
around when 2.x was uploaded, and didn't really coordinate this transition
very well, so for now users of the -antispam plugin will need to stick with
the older dovecot releases.

> In addition, the development of dovecot-spam seems to have stopped on

It hasn't "stopped", that was just the last point where all outstanding
issues at the time had been fixed. ie. before the 2.x transition.
This isn't a package that ordinarily needs a fix applied every day.
Upstream is aware we've moved to 2.x (and a Debian user), and does
intend to provide support for 2.x, but is afk with other things for now.

So for the moment, you'll either need to be patient, and/or stick with
the dovecot 1.2.x releases. There will be packages supporting 2.x as
soon as the work that needs to be done is done.

Thanks,
Ron

Bug#631676: Incompatible with libgtest-dev >= 1.6.0; fixed in new upstream

2011-06-25 Thread Daniel Burrows
Package: google-mock
Version: 1.5.0-2
Severity: serious
Tags: unstable

  google-mock version 1.5 is incompatible with libgtest-dev version 1.6
(currently in Debian): attempting to compile the attached program (which
does nothing but include mock.h) results in screenfuls of errors along
the lines of

/usr/include/gmock/internal/gmock-port.h:133:8: error: redefinition of ‘struct
testing::internal::CompileAssert< >’
/usr/include/gtest/internal/gtest-port.h:696:8: error: previous definition of
‘struct testing::internal::CompileAssert< >’

I think the best option is to upgrade to gmock 1.6. If this is
typical of gmock's policy on compatibility, maybe it would also be good
to tighten the versioned dependency on gtest?

Bug#631653: objcryst-fox: FTBFS: uses -march=native

Well -march=native isn't doing any good as it bases the result of the
binary on what hardware is used on the atobuilder host. For your package
build please just stick to the compiler default and don't pas any -march
/ -mtune flags.

Yes, this option was added in the latest release, I will revert it for the
Debian package.

Bug#614498: guppy: FTBFS with Python 2.7: ImportError:, guppy/sets/setsc.so: undefined symbol: _PyLong_AsScaledDouble

2011-06-25 Thread Sebastian Ramacher
Hi

I've just tried to build the guppy version from SVN and run the test suite with
Python 2.7 on an amd64 machine. The test suite already fails test1 in
guppy/sets/test.py. I've also tried on a 32 bit machine and and their it didn't
fail.

The reason is simple: _PyLong_Frexp takes a Py_ssize_t* as second argument but a
int* is passed. Therefor _PyLong_Frexp messes with other variables on the stack
since Py_ssize_t is larger than int on amd64.

Attached is a patch to fix this issues.

Kind regards,

Bug#631667: classpath is mixed up.

2011-06-25 Thread Csillag Kristof
The problem seems to be that catalina.sh is adding JULI to the classpath
like this:

# Add tomcat-juli.jar to classpath
# tomcat-juli.jar can be over-ridden per instance
if [ -r "$CATALINA_BASE/bin/tomcat-juli.jar" ] ; then
  CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:$CATALINA_BASE/bin/tomcat-juli.jar
else
  CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:$CATALINA_HOME/bin/tomcat-juli.jar
fi

So, it's looking at "$CATALINA_BASE/bin/tomcat-juli.jar".
However, the current package contains tomcat-juli.jar in the lib dir,
and not in the bin dir.

Placing a symlink in bin makes it work again.

Changes:
 bibletime (2.8.1-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [ Jonathan Marsden ]
   * New upstream version 2.8.1 (Closes: #629607).
   * debian/control:
 - Remove article from start of Description: synopsis line.
 - Replace Build-Depends: libqt4-dev with libqtwebkit-dev | libqt4-dev.
   * Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.2 (no changes needed)
   * debian/control: Fix version comparison > to >= for libsword
   * debian/watch: Look for .bz2 as well as .gz compressed tarballs.
   * debian/patches/01-fix-search-works-print-crash.patch:
 - An upstream git commit to fix a crash when printing.
 - Also fixes a gcc-4.6 FTBFS.
 .
   [ Dmitrijs Ledkovs ]
   * Daily-build / build from recipes:
 - Generate debian/source/format on the fly
 - Add .bzr-builddeb/default.conf to run above
 - Add debian/source/local-options to keep bzr tree clean
   * Convert to dh7
 - This unifies packaging with sword and xiphos
 - This allows building from recipes since cdbs simple-patchsys was
 interfering
 - Move dh_install[man] options from debian/rules to package files.

I cannot reproduce this error in my own build cluster on the amd64 and

I do get this error for my armel and ia64 build machines, both using
pbuilder. Clearly it seems to be a problem with the -march=native
directive. Is there a better option to use?

Thanks,

Carlo

If you fix the vulnerabilities please also make sure to include the

There are some patches on oss-security[3]. They are not applied in

What do you mean with not applied? The patches are in debian/patches:

0001-Sanitize-Event-Names.patch
0002-Ensure-that-save-only-saves-things-in-SESSION_DIR.patch
0003-Avoid-blindly-source-SETUP_FILE-with.patch
0004-Do-additional-checks-on-user-supplied-arguments.patch

and are applied in the build process.

Cheers

Bug#628835: fix for 628835

Yes, that's documented in the man page of apt-listbugs(1):

[...]
|· APT_LISTBUGS_FRONTEND If this variable is set to "none"
|apt-listbugs will not execute at all, this might be useful if

[...]

What do you mean by "it worked"?

I suppose that setting that environment variable to "none" made
apt-listbugs exit (successfully) as soon as started (this is what the
documentation says, and apt-listbugs actually behaves like that on my
boxes).
If this is the case, then you have just prevented apt-listbugs from
being useful in its primary area of application, namely, checking
RC bugs during package upgrades/installations...

I do not think that this "closes" the bug!
On the contrary: it's a way to *silently* prevent apt-listbugs from
running!

On Mon, 20 Jun 2011 16:18:00 + Matthias Klumpp wrote:

[...]
>* Set env var in aptcc to disable apt-listbugs (Closes: #628835)
[...]

I do not think this is the right fix for bug #628835: setting
APT_LISTBUGS_FRONTEND to "none" in aptcc *silently* disables
apt-listbugs when packagekit is used to upgrade or install packages.

This means that the user, who installed apt-listbugs as a partial
safety measure against RC bugs (that may be introduced into his/her
system by the upgrade or installation of some packages), is not getting
any protection at all, when using packagekit!
What is worse, he/she may be completely *unaware* of this lack of
protection against RC bugs: he/she may think that apt-listbugs is
working fine with packagekit and that it just does not find any RC bugs
in the packages being upgraded/installed.

  (A) I think that the aptcc backend for packagekit should be modified
so that it can work well with apt-listbugs (in the meanwhile, I can see
whether it is possible to implement a debconf frontend in apt-listbugs:
see bug #628996 and, as I said there, any help would be appreciated).

  (B) Until (A) is properly done, I think that packagekit should
conflict with apt-listbugs.

  (C) Otherwise, if you want to keep this "workaround" that silently
disables apt-listbugs, you should document it with a *huge* warning to
inform users that they won't get any protection from RC bugs when using
packagekit, despite having apt-listbugs installed.

In summary, I think the best solution is (A).
Until (A) is implemented, I think that (B) or (C) should be be adopted
as a temporary workaround, with (B) to be preferred over (C), in my
humble opinion.

Hi,

Your package was identified during a whole-archive rebuild
as having a broken build-arch target. To reproduce, run

  debian/rules build-arch

You'll see that it ends up running ttyload indefinitely:

Probably not a good idea, I don't know the exact format of that file,
but number and position of lines seems to be important.

A small rename in the slave alternative names between 0.0.1 and 0,1
triggered a bug in dpkg.

It seems the problem may be related to new libmime-tools-perl version,
looking at build diffs from squeeze and unstable:

-Setting up libmime-tools-perl (5.428-1) ...
+Setting up libmime-tools-perl (5.501-2) ...

(but not confirmed yet).

Bests
Salvatore

Package: kfreebsd-headers-8.2-1

Severity: grave

This package can't serve its purpose (building out-of-tree modules) without,
at least, the following files:

conf/kern.mk
conf/kmod.mk
kern/vnode_if.src
tools/vnode_if.awk

once they're copied from kfreebsd source, it becomes possible to build
fuse.kmod using kfreebsd-headers-8.2-1-amd64.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'll verify the patch and prepare packages;
do you want them uploaded to security-master ASAP?

Bug#631143: I'm afraid that dovecot-antispam is only useful for Debian stable and earlier

2011-06-25 Thread Manolo Díaz
Hi,

After reading the previous mail from Yuri, the bug report #625188 and
having seen the latest development tree in which does not appear the
file antispam-storage-2.0.c, I'm afraid dovecot-antispam is only useful
for Debian stable and earlier, that is, those having dovecot <= 1.2.x

In addition, the development of dovecot-spam seems to have stopped on
March 12 (http://git.sipsolutions.net/?p=dovecot-antispam.git).

Best Regards,

Bug#631609: FTBFS: can not find install-sh or install.sh

2011-06-25 Thread Ilya Barygin
Package: jailer
Version: 0.4-16
Severity: serious
Tags: patch
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)
User: ubuntu-de...@lists.ubuntu.com
Usertags: origin-ubuntu oneiric ubuntu-patch

Hello, jailer failed to build in Ubuntu because of broken symlink. install-sh
points to /usr/share/automake/install-sh, which is not present in automake
package. The build fails with the following error:

dh_testdir
../configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=\${prefix}/share/man
--infodir=\${prefix}/share/info --sysconfdir=/etc
creating cache ./config.cache
configure: error: can not find install-sh or install.sh in . ./.. ./../..
make: *** [build-stamp] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2

This also affects sid, and is reproducible with pbuilder.

Full log for Ubuntu can be found at
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/72709571/buildlog_ubuntu-oneiric-i386.jailer_0.4-16_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

To fix this for Ubuntu, I used dh_autoreconf as a very nonintrusive change.
The patch is attached.
