The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
gcc-4.8/g++-4.8, but succeeds to build with gcc-4.7/g++-4.7. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

  sigset.h:117:1: error: nested function '__sigismember' declared 'extern'

The full build log can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/glide_2002.04.10ds1-7_unstable_gcc48.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

The test rebuild was done with eglibc-2.17 and GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated glibc.

Bug#708209: virt-manager: unable to connect viewer

2013-05-14 Thread Dmitry Smirnov
Package: virt-manager
Version: 0.9.5-1
Severity: serious

When I'm trying to open console to running VM I get the following
error:

Error: viewer connection to hypervisor host got refused or
disconnected!

Here is the output from `virt-manager --debug`:

/usr/share/virt-manager/virtManager/baseclass.py:240: GtkWarning: Unknown
property: GtkTable.halign
  util.sanitize_gtkbuilder(self.uifile))

2013-05-14 16:37:07,267 (console:1001): Viewer disconnected

Downgrading virt-manager to version 0.9.1-4 (from testing) fixes the
regression. Here is the normal (working) output of `virt-manager
--debug` (version 0.9.1-4):

2013-05-14 16:35:38,607 (details:535): Showing VM details: vmmDomain

2013-05-14 16:35:39,252 (console:986): Viewer connected

I'm setting severity to serious to prevent propagation to testing.

Thanks.

These functions were indeed removed in hwloc 1.5 without bumping the

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
eglibc-2.17, but succeeds to build with eglibc-2.13. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

The test rebuild was done together with GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated GCC as well.

  wrapper.cpp:541:21: error: 'PRIO_PROCESS' was not declared in this scope

The full build log can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/boinc_7.0.27+dfsg-5_unstable_gcc48.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To install eglibc from experimental,

  apt-get -t experimental install libc6-dev

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

User: debian...@lists.debian.org

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'squeeze'.
It installed fine in 'squeeze', then the upgrade to 'wheezy' fails
because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a
Breaks+Replaces relation.

See policy 7.6 at
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces

From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Preparing to replace assaultcube-data 1.0.4+repack1-1 (using
.../assaultcube-data_1.1.0.4+repack1-2_all.deb) ...
  Unpacking replacement assaultcube-data ...

/var/cache/apt/archives/assaultcube-data_1.1.0.4+repack1-2_all.deb (--unpack):
   trying to overwrite '/usr/share/man/man6/assaultcube-server.6.gz', which is
also in package assaultcube 1.0.4repack1-3
  configured to not write apport reports
  dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
  Preparing to replace assaultcube 1.0.4repack1-3 (using
.../assaultcube_1.1.0.4+dfsg2-1_i386.deb) ...
  Unpacking replacement assaultcube ...

Adding

  Breaks: assaultcube ( 1.1.0.4+dfsg2-1)
  Replaces: assaultcube ( 1.1.0.4+dfsg2-1)

should fix this issue.

cheers,

Andreas

Bug#706984: Help with gmp build

2013-05-14 Thread Petr Salinger

tags 706984 +patch
--

The last gmp upload failed to build on hurd-i386 and kfreebsd-i386
and I could use some help. The code builds but seven test cases
segfault [1]. Can someone help debug these and hopefully provide
a patch?

It crashes also for me inside kvm.
The key point seems be advertised CPU, not architecture.
The patch bellow suffices for me to pass whole testsuite.

A few lines before that is:

Guess what value is currently in mpn/x86/p6/gmp-mparam.h ;-)

Package: clang-3.2
Version: 1:3.2repack-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

compiling c++ code

#include cstddef
int main()
{}

fails to compile with clang++.

 clang++ -o t toto.cpp
In file included from toto.cpp:1:
/usr/bin/../lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-
gnu/4.8/../../../../include/c++/4.8/cstddef:41:10: fatal error: 'stddef.h' file
not found
#include stddef.h
 ^
1 error generated.

stddef.h is in /usr/lib/llvm-3.2/lib/clang/3.2/include/

compiling using the following command works
 clang++ -I /usr/lib/llvm-3.2/lib/clang/3.2/include/ -o t toto.cpp

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

the user should not have to add /usr/lib/llvm-3.2/lib/clang/3.2/include/ in the
header directories, no ?

Hi,

a test with piuparts revealed that your package misses the copyright
file after installation, which is a violation of Policy 12.5:
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-docs.html#s-copyrightfile

From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  MISSING COPYRIGHT FILE: /usr/share/doc/clang/copyright
  # ls -lad /usr/share/doc/clang
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 May 10 08:21 /usr/share/doc/clang - llvm-runtime

  # ls -la /usr/share/doc/lldb/
  ls: cannot access /usr/share/doc/lldb/: No such file or directory

Looks like it is missing a strictly versioned dependency

  Depends: llvm-runtime (= ${binary:version}

Bug#708238: bacula-director-pgsql: Fatal error: Version error for database bacula. Wanted 14, got 12

2013-05-14 Thread Teodor
Package: bacula-director-pgsql
Version: 5.2.6+dfsg-9
Severity: grave

Hi,

I've upgraded from Debian 6.0 to Debian 7.0 and Bacula director does not
start after upgrade. It appears that the database was not upgraded:

| 14-May 14:24 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Version error for
|   database bacula. Wanted 14, got 12
| 14-May 14:24 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Could not open
|   Catalog MyCatalog, database bacula.
| 14-May 14:24 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Version error for
|   database bacula. Wanted 14, got 12
| 14-May 14:24 bacula-dir ERROR TERMINATION
| Please correct configuration file: /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf

So far I've found that /usr/share/bacula-director/update_postgresql_tables
is the script to handle the upgrade but it's not executed automatically.

Cheers

Package: src:octave
Version: 3.6.2-5
Severity: important
Tags: sid jessie
User: debian-gl...@lists.debian.org

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
eglibc-2.17, but succeeds to build with eglibc-2.13. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

The test rebuild was done together with GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated GCC as well.

  ./stdio.h:1032:1: error: 'gets' undeclared here (not in a function)

The full build log can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/octave_3.6.2-5_unstable_gcc48.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To install eglibc from experimental,

  apt-get -t experimental install libc6-dev

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

Bug#708245: backuppc: Upgrade from squeeze : backup fails with Failed to create directory

2013-05-14 Thread Jonathan Schaeffer
Package: backuppc
Version: 3.2.1-4
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

when upgrading from squeeze to wheezy, no backup will happen.
The error on the backupped host's logfile is Failed to create directory

I could not find any permission problem. To solve this issue, I installed
backuppc 3.3.0 from upstream.

A similar problem has been reported on Gentoo forums
(http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-905362-view-previous.html?sid=0b8ffe34b64b81a18e6f14ffe4673167)
 but I could not find more valuable data on the iternet.

Regards,

Jonathan Schaeffer

Bug#707733: pygobject: FTBFS on kfreebsd

2013-05-14 Thread Jeff Epler
Another bug that may be similar:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=671785

In that bug I remark that a problem with pthread_mutex_unlock can be
observed on linux with valgrind --tool=helgrind. I haven't tried to
determine whether it's a similar problem here, but it might be worth
valgrinding it on Linux. (unfortunately I can't do this at the moment;
if I get a chance I'll report the results here)

Bug#706862: Database destroyed during upgrade from squeeze

2013-05-14 Thread Agustín Eijo

The possible solution is:

   while read -r OLD_DBKEY OLD_DBVALUE ; do
...
   done  $OLD_LIST

for:

   cat $OLD_LIST | \
   while read -r OLD_DBKEY OLD_DBVALUE ; do
...
   done

This creates a new child process with diferent variables

Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

when upgrading from squeeze to wheezy, no backup will happen.
The error on the backupped host's logfile is Failed to create
directory

I could not find any permission problem. To solve this issue, I
installed backuppc 3.3.0 from upstream.

A similar problem has been reported on Gentoo forums
(http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-905362-view-previous.html?sid=0b8ffe34b64b81a18e6f14ffe4673167)
but I could not find more valuable data on the iternet.

Jonathan Schaeffer

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
eglibc-2.17, but succeeds to build with eglibc-2.13. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

The test rebuild was done together with GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated GCC as well.

  ./stdio.h:456:1: error: 'gets' undeclared here (not in a function)

The full build log can be found at:

The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To install eglibc from experimental,

  apt-get -t experimental install libc6-dev

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

Bug#676441: Transition package to use OpenJDK7 as default java implementation

2013-05-14 Thread Markus Koschany
Control: severity -1 serious

Dear Maintainer,

OpenJDK6 support will be dropped from Debian. Hence the severity of this
bug is release critical now. Please transition your package to use
OpenJDK7 as the default java implementation for Jessie. In most cases a
patch has already been provided for the transition. Please feel free to
ask questions about this bug report or the transition in general on the
debian-java mailing list.

For the Debian Java Team

Markus Koschany

Hi,

php-horde-passwd depends on an old version of php-horde:

Depends: [..] php-horde (= 4.0.0), php-horde ( 5.0.0),

However, php-horde in sid is at 5.0.2+debian0-2. This makes this package
not installable in sid.

Cheers -Ralf.

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install.
These tests are done with DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive and
stdin=/dev/null.

Maintainer scripts run ssh-keygen, but that gets into a busy loop ...

lsof lists the following open file descriptors:

ssh-keyge 21160 root0r  FIFO0,8  0t0 2120247831 pipe
ssh-keyge 21160 root1w  FIFO0,8  0t0 2120215834 pipe

ssh-keyge 21160 root3u   CHR5,0  0t0 2120154555

strace shows:

 Hello, it seems that zeromq3 failt to build due to the test suite.

Hi,

I just uploaded a new version that makes these failures non-fatal, since they
don't really affect the usability of zeromq3 (e.g. the kfreebsd failures are
probably caused by the buildd choking with too many threads).

I'm downgrading the severity of the bugs to important, until I find a nicer way
of fixing them.

Cheers

Bug#708285: morse-simulator: FTBFS when not building -doc package

2013-05-14 Thread Aaron M. Ucko
Source: morse-simulator
Version: 1.0.1-1
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source

Builds of morse-simulator only covering its architecture-dependent
binary packages (as on the autobuilders) have been failing:

  cd
/.../morse-simulator-1.0.1/debian/morse-simulator-doc/usr/share/doc/morse/html/_static/
  rm -f jquery.js underscore.js  ln -s
/usr/share/javascript/jquery/jquery.js  ln -s
/usr/share/javascript/jquery/underscore.js
  /bin/sh: 1: cd: can't cd to
/.../morse-simulator-1.0.1/debian/morse-simulator-doc/usr/share/doc/morse/html/_static/
  make[1]: *** [override_dh_install] Error 2

Could you please arrange to run those commands only when actually
building the architecture-independent morse-simulator-doc package?
I'd also suggest cleaning up the unnecessary use of $(PWD) while
you're at it, but that's no big deal.

Thanks!

Bug#708291: libjansi-native-java: package appears to be unusable

2013-05-14 Thread Florian Weimer
Package: libjansi-native-java
Version: 1.0-3
Severity: grave

The package claims to provide JNI libraries, but is architecture: all.
For some reason, there are no DSOs in the JAR files.

I think as it stands, the package is completely usable.

Hello,

i think you have reported the same issue which is described here:

http://bugs.debian.org/683502

Jedit will depend on the default-jre in the future that is going to be
OpenJDK7. A fix has already been committed to Debian's git repository
thus i think this bug will be solved soon.

Markus

Bug#708298: libsnmp30: unversioned file in shared library package

2013-05-14 Thread Jakub Wilk

Package: libsnmp30
Version: 5.7.2~dfsg-3
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 8.2

libsnmp30 ships this file:

/usr/bin/net-snmp-config

This is serious violation of Policy §8.2:
If your package contains files whose names do not change with each
change in the library shared object version, you must not put them in
the shared library package.

I think this file should be moved into libsnmp-dev.

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As

Bug#708307: e2fsprogs: fsck.ext3 on ia64 is linked to /usr/lib/libunwind, which can live on a different partition, breaking boot

2013-05-14 Thread Thibaut VARENE
Package: e2fsprogs
Version: 1.42.5-1.1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

This bug affects wheezy. Trying to upgrade one of my ia64 boxes from squeeze
to wheezy turned into a non-booting system because:

Checking root file system...fsck from util-linux 2.20.1
fsck.ext3: error while loading shared libraries: libunwind.so.7: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
fsck died with exit status 127
failed (code 127).
An automatic file system check (fsck) of the root filesystem failed. A manual
fsck must be performed, then the system restarted. The fsck should be performed
in maintenance mode with the root filesystem mounted in read-only mode. ...
failed!
The root filesystem is currently mounted in read-only mode. A maintenance shell
will now be started. After performing system maintenance, press CONTROL-D to
terminate the maintenance shell and restart the system. ... (warning).
Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):

And then the problem is that:
ldd /sbin/fsck.ext3
linux-gate.so.1 =  (0xa000)
libext2fs.so.2 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libext2fs.so.2
(0x200800054000)
libcom_err.so.2 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libcom_err.so.2
(0x2008000e8000)
libblkid.so.1 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libblkid.so.1 (0x20080010)
libuuid.so.1 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libuuid.so.1 (0x20080016)
libe2p.so.2 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libe2p.so.2 (0x200800178000)
HERE - libunwind.so.7 = /usr/lib/libunwind.so.7 (0x20080019c000)
libc.so.6.1 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6.1 (0x2008001e8000)
libpthread.so.0 = /lib/ia64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0
(0x200800478000)
/lib/ld-linux-ia64.so.2 (0x2008)

(don't ask me why it links libunwind, btw)

The problem is that fsck is a program that lives in /sbin, and it links a
library that lives in /usr, which can (and in this particular case does) reside
on a different filesystem, which will no be mounted at the time of the rootfs
filesystem check. That's an obvious violation of everything sacred, it kills
kittens, etc.

Please fix.

T-Bone
