XXX The full build log can be found at: http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/atlas-cpp_0.6.2-3_unstable_gcc48.log The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report. To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly, or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental. apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev The test rebuild was done with eglibc-2.17 and GCC-4.8, so some issues might be caused by the updated glibc. The samba4 package in testing/unstable is superseded by the samba package version 4.0.3 now in experimental. Once that reaches unstable, the samba4 source package should be dropped as obsolete. Release team should feel free to remove this package from testing at any time to eliminate this RC bug. The attached patch is what Jelmer used to fix the issue, and was (if I recall correctly) in the samba4 experimental packages before we updated to a modern version of Samba including the fix upstream. Bug#712140: (no subject)
Hi, this seems to be a problem with the m4 macro. check uses acx_pthread.m4 but the same problem seems to be available in ax_pthread.m4 from the autoconf archive. A bugfix (which can be easily ported to acx_pthread.m4 from check) is available here: http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/index.php?8081 . I'll forward the bugfix to check upstream and prepare a patch for the debian package. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Starting with glib 2.32 it is now mandatory to include glib.h instead of individual headers [1], or the compiler will generate an error. With the notable exception of: glib/gi18n.h glib/gi18n-lib.h glib/gprintf.h glib/gstdio.h Those header files are still meant to be included separately. Development releases of 2.32 (2.31.x) are available in experimental. During a test-rebuild gtk-nodoka-engine failed to build with the new glib [2]. Please update gtk-nodoka-engine at your earliest convenience, so once we move the glib version from experimental to unstable, your package will remain buildable. Usually, simply replacing #include glib/foo.h with #include glib.h is all that is needed (while keeping the above list of exceptions in mind) You can use the glib version from experimental to test if your package builds correctly. A simple shell script [3] has been written, that can help you generate a patch which should fix the includes in most cases. It's most likely not bug free and very limited, so please check the resulting patch carefully. Thanks! Michael, on behalf of the Debian GNOME team. I have often been able to backport issues myself, and I have also sometimes mooched off of Red Hat or Ubuntu security teams' backporting of patches. We will also need to issue a dsa for wheezy. Best wishes, Mike According to the security tracker, we have the following right now: * The version of tiff in sid is not affected by any known issues. I have acknowledged the NMU and uploaded a new version with urgency=low. I'm really sorry I dropped the ball on that. This is the first NMU in the unstable version of tiff since the one I did in 2004. While I am certainly appreciative of the NMU by the security team, I quick ping asking me to take care of it would have yielded results and saved you the trouble. * http://bugs.debian.org/706674, CVE-2013-1960 is only related to tiff2pdf, which is not present in any version of the tiff3 package, so all versions of tiff3 can be marked as not affected by this issue. * The fix for http://bugs.debian.org/706675, CVE-2013-1961 for the tiff package in squeeze should be able to be easily ported to the tiff3 package for wheezy and sid. I will take care of that. * CVE-2010-2596 might affect tiff in squeeze, but it's also apparently related to tiff2ps, which is not present in tiff3. Apparently this is no current fix. Red Hat rated this as having low security impact. I'm not inclined to spend time on it at this time. * CVE-2010-2631 looks like it has already been fixed upstream in all the versions we have, but I haven't positively confirmed that. None of the versions in Ubuntu are believed to be vulnerable, so I think we should be fine here. So basically, as far as I can tell, the only remaining actions to get us caught up are to apply CVE-2013-1961 to tiff in squeeze. I can prepare a security upload for that. -- Jay Berkenbilt q...@debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
