 Hi,

The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

The full build log is available from:

Looks like texlive packagers merged texlive-common into texlive-base
without informing the reverse dependencies about the same [1] or we
missed their notice.

[1] http://sources.debian.net/src/texlive-base/2013.20130530-1/debian/control

Now I've changed the build-depends to texlive-base and prepared new
release with a couple more changes which is in our team repo waiting for
a DD (ccd kartik) to upload it.

Thanks for the report.

Works fine here (sid cowbuilder amd64 without internet access).

Anyone else more lucky than me?

Looking at the test, it should be skipped:

Actually I can reproduce it if I *allow* network connection. setting
the policy for iptables for OUTPUT to DROP the above indeed gives for
the test We don't appear to have an internet connection. But if
network connection is allowed, the failure reported by Lucas is
reproducible.

 Hi,

During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on
 amd64.

It is known and not caused by this package. The culprit is libgtkglext1-dev
(see #711822).

And you misread the log. It doesn't stop because of a '-V' but because the
pkg-config failed and therefore the next test didn't had the gtk stuff from it
in the cflags.

Kind regards,
Sven

Hi,

During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on
amd64.

Maybe you need to add explicitly the offending lib to LD flags.

Bug#713474: desmume: FTBFS: ld: cannot find -lzzip

Hi David,

On Sat, Jun 22, 2013 at 01:57:45PM +0200, David Suárez wrote:

Thanks for the rebuild and the checks of Debian's quality!

 Relevant part:

Sadly, it isn't.

  /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lzzip
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Usual autoconf foo. It is looking for libzzip and does not find it. Pretty
normal.

The full build log is available from:

 http://aws-logs.debian.net/ftbfs-logs/2013/06/20/desmume_0.9.9-1_unstable.log

This shows the actuall error:

 checking for GTKGLEXT... no
configure: error: Package requirements (gtkglext-1.0) were not met:

Package pangox was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `pangox.pc'
 to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'pangox', required by 'GdkGLExt', not found

Which is http://bugs.debian.org/709554, so not a bug in desmume.

I am leaving this bug open to document that desmume *does*
ftbfs in sid at the moment.

David, would it be possible to improve your scripts to catch the
atuall error-source? :)

Regards
Evgeni

I can testify that they break some languages almost every time in my
experiences :-) I know them before getting report from you, too.
Last 3 or more releases, I have several FTBFS for every releases for
some packages mostly due to these external isuues.

Serious part of maintaining DOC packages are communication with tool
chain maintainers and making minimal reproduceble cases or patches or
work around

It is much easier to make C program patch than tex/xml tool patch. Now
sending a C patch to cowbuilder...

Well, I will work on thiese DOC packages later.

Anyway, thanks for your effort.

My fault, to didn't look to the full configure log at all.

David, would it be possible to improve your scripts to catch the
 atuall error-source? :)

I will look at it. Configure fail's was a nightmare in the last rebuild :S

Thanks for point to the correct error and the help.

Package: src:atlas-cpp
Version: 0.6.2-3
Severity: important

User: debian-...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: ftbfs-gcc-4.8

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
gcc-4.8/g++-4.8, but succeeds to build with gcc-4.7/g++-4.7. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

  XXX

The full build log can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/atlas-cpp_0.6.2-3_unstable_gcc48.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

The test rebuild was done with eglibc-2.17 and GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated glibc.

Oh, that's a nice finding, thanks!

During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on
  amd64.

The samba4 package in testing/unstable is superseded by the samba package
version 4.0.3 now in experimental. Once that reaches unstable, the samba4
source package should be dropped as obsolete.

Release team should feel free to remove this package from testing at any
time to eliminate this RC bug.

The attached patch is what Jelmer used to fix the issue, and was (if I
recall correctly) in the samba4 experimental packages before we updated
to a modern version of Samba including the fix upstream.

That said, I don't propose we do anything other than migrate samba4 in
from experimental to fix this.

2013-06-23 Thread Sebastian Ramacher
Source: resiprocate

Severity: serious
Justifaction: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)

I wanted to check if #713634 is fixed as claimed, but now resiprocate FTBFS
with:

Apparently #713634 is indeed fixed as this error happens later in the

Bug#713146: [DRE-maint] Bug#713146: builds fine with libxml2 from testing

2013-06-23 Thread Cédric Boutillier
Control: reassign -1 libxml2 2.9.1+dfsg1-2
Control: affects -1 ruby-nokogiri
Control: forwarded -1 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695699

This bug is known by ruby-nokogiri upstream,
https://github.com/sparklemotion/nokogiri/issues/829
and pinned it to a libxml2 bug introduced in 2.9:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695699

To circumvent this, newer versions of ruby-nokogiri embed a version of
libxml2 2.8 :(

I am reassigning it to libxml2.

Greetings,

Cédric

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
gcc-4.8/g++-4.8, but succeeds to build with gcc-4.7/g++-4.7. The
severity of this report may be raised before the jessie release.

main.cpp:1423:76: error: stray ',' at end of member declaration

The full build log can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs-20130217/gcc48/sdl-ball_1.01-3_unstable_gcc48.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To build with GCC 4.8, either set CC=gcc-4.8 CXX=g++-4.8 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++ g++-4.7 g++-4.8 libc6-dev

The test rebuild was done with eglibc-2.17 and GCC-4.8, so some issues
might be caused by the updated glibc.

 Hi,

the following vulnerabilities were published for python-keystoneclient.

 CVE-2013-2166[0]:
 middleware memcache encryption bypass

 CVE-2013-2167[1]:
 middleware memcache signing bypass

 See [2] for further reference.

If you fix the vulnerabilities please also make sure to include the
CVE (Common Vulnerabilities Exposures) ids in your changelog entry.

 Hi,

I've committed to fix this bug [1].

Thanks. Uploaded.

Though I've noticed that some of the unit tests are failing after
applying the patch (3 failures). I don't know if that is expected or
not... though for what I'm doing, the client worked (keystone
service-list, keystone tenant-list, etc. worked)

I'm guessing something in freepascal or lazarus (I haven't tried to
determine which yet) is trying to build for some embedded variant of qt
rather than the regular desktop version of qt. I'm sure we patched this
in the past but it seems to have come back.

I may try to look into this further if I get a chance but I can't
promise anything on timescales.

Bug#712140: (no subject)

2013-06-23 Thread Thomas Bechtold

Hi,

this seems to be a problem with the m4 macro. check uses acx_pthread.m4
but the same problem seems to be available in ax_pthread.m4 from the
autoconf archive. A bugfix (which can be easily ported to acx_pthread.m4
from check) is available here:
http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/index.php?8081 . I'll forward the bugfix
to check upstream and prepare a patch for the debian package.

User: pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: glib-single-include

Hi,

including invidiual glib headers has been deprecated for several years.

Starting with glib 2.32 it is now mandatory to include glib.h instead
of individual headers [1], or the compiler will generate an error.

With the notable exception of:
 glib/gi18n.h
 glib/gi18n-lib.h
 glib/gprintf.h
 glib/gstdio.h
Those header files are still meant to be included separately.

Development releases of 2.32 (2.31.x) are available in experimental.
During a test-rebuild gtk-nodoka-engine failed to build with the new glib [2].

Please update gtk-nodoka-engine at your earliest convenience, so once we move
the glib version from experimental to unstable, your package will remain
buildable.

Usually, simply replacing #include glib/foo.h with #include glib.h
is all that is needed (while keeping the above list of exceptions in
mind)
You can use the glib version from experimental to test if your package
builds correctly.

A simple shell script [3] has been written, that can help you
generate a patch which should fix the includes in most cases.
It's most likely not bug free and very limited, so please check the
resulting patch carefully.

Thanks!

Michael,
on behalf of the Debian GNOME team.

Hi Christoph,

Did you have chance to build this yet or upload it to security-master?
If you did I may need to let the security team know it is in their queue.

Or otherwise, and if you are busy, I could maybe ask Robert to do it. I
think we should hurry as has already been 5 days since the disclosure
and it was a pretty serious bug.

 Dear Security Team,

Please could we upload to wheezy-security with the attached debdiff.

A bug allows local privilege escalation, from any non-privileged user to
root. I've verified it myself on Debian GNU/kFreeBSD (and that the fix
works) with a test procedure in [1], but already a more 'weaponised' PoC
was posted to a public forum on 2013-06-18.

Thanks for your work! With the above, please upload to
 security-master.

 Regards,
 Salvatore

This seems to be a result of the removal of catch from the prelude, which
 apparently happened in ghc 7.6.1:
 http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/7.6.1/html/users_guide/release-7-6-1.html#id9281134

My attempt at patching this is attached.

FYI, no need for this. Experimental already has 2.6.2-2 with this fixed,
it should only be a matter of migrating 2.6 from experimental to sid.

iustin

This seems to be a result of the removal of catch from the prelude, which
  apparently happened in ghc 7.6.1:

My attempt at patching this is attached.

FYI, no need for this. Experimental already has 2.6.2-2 with this fixed,
it should only be a matter of migrating 2.6 from experimental to sid.

Ah, thanks. I thought that might be the case; I mainly worked on this as a

someone some time.

 haven't fully checked yet:
 https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/source-package/tiff

It is however clear that tiff3 is affected by at least CVE-2013-1960

Please review and help make the situation in unstable better. We will
also need to issue a dsa for wheezy.

I'll see about backporting these if I can. I'm looking at the security
tracker for both packages. I have often been able to backport issues
myself, and I have also sometimes mooched off of Red Hat or Ubuntu
security teams' backporting of patches.

What we really need to do is to get tiff3 out of the archive entirely,
but I'm blocked by higher priority transitions.

It is however clear that tiff3 is affected by at least CVE-2013-1960

 http://bugs.debian.org/706675

Please review and help make the situation in unstable better. We will
also need to issue a dsa for wheezy.

 Best wishes,
 Mike

According to the security tracker, we have the following right now:

 * The version of tiff in sid is not affected by any known issues. I
have acknowledged the NMU and uploaded a new version with
urgency=low. I'm really sorry I dropped the ball on that. This is
the first NMU in the unstable version of tiff since the one I did in
2004. While I am certainly appreciative of the NMU by the security
team, I quick ping asking me to take care of it would have yielded
results and saved you the trouble.

 * http://bugs.debian.org/706674, CVE-2013-1960 is only related to
tiff2pdf, which is not present in any version of the tiff3 package,
so all versions of tiff3 can be marked as not affected by this issue.

 * The fix for http://bugs.debian.org/706675, CVE-2013-1961 for the tiff
package in squeeze should be able to be easily ported to the tiff3
package for wheezy and sid. I will take care of that.

 * CVE-2010-2596 might affect tiff in squeeze, but it's also apparently
related to tiff2ps, which is not present in tiff3. Apparently this
is no current fix. Red Hat rated this as having low security
impact. I'm not inclined to spend time on it at this time.

 * CVE-2010-2631 looks like it has already been fixed upstream in all
the versions we have, but I haven't positively confirmed that. None
of the versions in Ubuntu are believed to be vulnerable, so I think
   we should be fine here.

So basically, as far as I can tell, the only remaining actions to get us
caught up are to apply CVE-2013-1961 to tiff in squeeze. I can prepare
a security upload for that.

Oops, I meant to say to apply the patch from tiff in squeeze to tiff3 in

During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on

Andriy, do you still have contact to upstream? I've now backed a patch
for that that seems to work for this bug. Can you perhaps forward to
 get it included into upstream?

Since I'm not comfortable with uploading a new upstream version
without checking with you, I'm going to create a jessie branch with
this fix only in order to minimize the risk of introducing additional
 issues.
