Bug#763694: libtecla transition breakage

2014-10-02 Thread Andreas Tille
Hi Aurelien,

 Dear Maintainer,

it looks like the latest libtecla upload to unstable renamed
libtecla1-dev into libtecla-dev. This has not been coordinated with
the reverse-dependencies, so bladerf and maude are now unbuildable.
 Please don't do that.

You are right - this was a bad thing. However, it seems bladerf has
just adapted:

$ apt-cache showsrc bladerf | grep Build-Depends.*libtecla-dev
Build-Depends: debhelper (= 9), cmake (= 2.8.5), pkg-config, doxygen,
libusb-1.0-0-dev (= 1.0.12) [linux-any], libusb2-dev [kfreebsd-any],
libtecla-dev, libncurses5-dev, help2man

Now this has to be fixed. Either by reverting the change in libtecla,
or by updating the build-dependencies in bladerf and maude. I let you
choose what is the best. As the freeze is approaching please fix that
 within a week.

I'll upload a fixed maude today.

Thanks for noticing

  Andreas.

Bug#763710: FTBFS on various architectures, test-suite failures

2014-10-02 Thread Hilko Bengen
* Michael Biebl:

as can be seen on [1], libguestfs FTBFS on various architectures, like
 amd64 and i386.
Even though libsystemd0 is installed, the test suite fails with

guestfsd: error while loading shared libraries: libsystemd.so.0:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

That probably happens because libsystemd.so.0 is not transferred into
the guest filesystem. I believe that this is fixed in experimental.

Cheers,
-Hilko

Interesting. Gentoo has OpenRC well tested for arm(hf,el,eb) and
ppc(32,64).

http://packages.gentoo.org/package/sys-apps/openrc

I guess the build system could not recognize keywords like armel, armhf
or ppc64el. Hmm, it fails with the unit tests, could be the loop solver
also.

Thomas, do you have time to take a look? I don't have an account for
the porterboxes.

Previously, for syslinux 6 the isohybrid{,pl} programs where availabe
within the isolinux package, however, since these programs are usable on
all architectures even if the bootloader isn't available, they have been
moved to the package syslinux-utils which will be available on all
architectures.

Please update your build-depends/depends to reflect that.

Package: debian-installer

Hi,

I've noticed what $Subject says through the daily builds. Looking at
last successful build and today's (failing) one, a few things pops up:
| -Unpacking libdebian-installer4-udeb (0.94) ...
| +Unpacking libdebian-installer4-udeb (0.95) ...
→ addition of ppc64el support, not likely to be an issue

| -Unpacking zlib1g-udeb (1:1.2.8.dfsg-1) ...
| +Unpacking zlib1g-udeb (1:1.2.8.dfsg-2) ...
→ irrelevant changes AFAICT

In the library reduction passes:
| -1052 symbols, 637 unresolved
| +1051 symbols, 636 unresolved
[…]
| -reducing libgcc_s.so.1
| -No pic file found for /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf//libgcc_s.so.1 ; copying
[…]
| -Object: ./tmp/network-console/tree/lib/libgcc_s.so.1-so-stripped
[…]
| +1170 symbols, 38 unresolved
| +Traceback (most recent call last):
| + File /usr/bin/mklibs, line 560, in module
| +raise Exception(No library provides non-weak %s % name)
| +Exception: No library provides non-weak __aeabi_unwind_cpp_pr0

libgcc_s.so.1 comes from a gcc package, and there's been a gcc-4.9
package in unstable for 2 days, which might match. But then I don't
see any difference in package contents or symbols list for the
libgcc1 packages between 1:4.9.1-5 and 1:4.9.1-7. I'm afraid I'm
running out of the time to dig deeper into what's mklibs is after
(possibly a _pic.a but I don't see any for libgcc_s). Having both
a glibc and a gcc-4.9 upload in the said time window could explain
this regression, as a wild guess.

Could somebody from debian-arm@ (x-d-cc) check what's going on
precisely and possibly forward the failure to the right place if
d-i isn't the buggy package here?

Thanks for your time.

Mraw,
KiBi.

Bug#763725: git-flow: Bad variable name when space characters in path

2014-10-02 Thread Jeremie Burtin
Package: git-flow
Version: 1.7.0-1
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,
When trying to perform git flow feature start feature_name, the script fails
with a Bad variable name error. It seems to come from the fact the path to
the directory where I'm working contains space characters (ie : 2 -
Developpement)
The same repository in another path with no space does not fail.

Here is the debug output when performing git flow with DEBUG=yes :

Looks like the upstream's an orphaned project (no commits for 6 months) and
won't be updated for RT 4.2.

Is this a good place to suggest Best Practical's own RT::Extension::Assets
(http://bestpractical.com/assets) as a candidate for packaging?

2014-10-02 Thread Akiva
Did a fresh install of the latest beta, and what I did was sudo'd a bash
script full of

sudo apt-get install xx commands.

And that is when I started noticing problems after everything was said
and done. Now I can only run programs as Root, as doing otherwise gives
me permission errors. Installing and uninstalling gives me that damn
symlink issue, and my whole system is paralyzed.

I can connect to OpenVPN server (2.3.2), no data is passed thru the tunnel.

Tcpdump see packages traveling out the client's both on tun0 interface and
 client's eth interface.
I can't see any traffic on servers's tun interface. Server's ethernet

There is a lot of Bad LZO decompression header byte: 0 message in server

Other clients (mostly Windows and Android) don't have such a problem. The

Bug#763255: freeimage: FTBFS: transupp.c:900: undefined reference to `jpeg_core_output_dimensions'

2014-10-02 Thread Dejan Latinovic

Control: tags -1 + patch

Hi,

I had tested it on mips/mipsel,
the same error appears.

This is happening because of missing
build dependency (libjpeg8-dev).

Patch that fix this issue is attached.

  bug.

 Please reassign/retitle/clone as appropriate.

I don't mind which source package creates the dummy package, as far as
there is a consensus that the dummy package should exist.

I need to clarify the libjpeg-progs built from the libjpeg8 source package is
not a dummy package. Unfortunately it has been hijacked by the libjpeg-turbo
package and replaced by a dummy (as I understand) package. But if you rebuild
the libjpeg8 source package you still get the non-dummy libjpeg-progs package.

If this is awkward to you, it is awkward to me too.

Bug#763741: libguestfs: Incorrect build-dependencies (libsystemd-id128-0, libsystemd-journal0), fails binNMU

2014-10-02 Thread Andreas Henriksson
Source: libguestfs
Version: 1:1.26.9-1
Severity: serious
Justification: 7.7 Relationships between source and binary packages

Dear Maintainer,

During a round of binNMUs for the transition[1] to the unified libsystemd0
the binNMU fails to accomplish its goals for libguestfs.

Somehow the old libraries still get linked although the pkg-config flags
tells it to use libsystemd0.

I spotted these build-dependencies which in themselves are wrong:
libsystemd-id128-0, libsystemd-journal0

This might be the culprit for making the binNMU fail.

Regards,
Andreas Henriksson

BTW: I see that there is available a new upstream release of samba:

and the changelog says:

o Fix smbd crashes when filename contains non-ascii character (bug #10716).

This could be the same bug, but I don't know. As this might be not
easy to debug, feel free to consider this bug as please package
version 4.1.12 instead.

Thanks.

Source: photofilmstrip
Version: 1.9.92+dfsg-1
Severity: important

We're aiming to migrate the archive to using wxpython3.0 instead of
wxwidgets2.8, and hope to drop wxwidgets2.8 before jessie is released.
This transition is already underway, and is being tracked by the release
team here:

https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/wxpython3.0.html

The wxPython 3.0 API mostly adds to the wxPython2.8 API. Many packages
work with wxPython 3.0 without any changes, but there are a few
incompatibilities. For example, wx.Color is no longer supported as
an alias for wx.Colour, and some constants which were deprecated in 2.8
have been removed. All the removed constants I'm aware of were set to 0
in wxPython 2.8, so removing them is still compatible with 2.8.

To assist updating to wxPython 3.0, I've put together a script which
will help make the mechanical changes required. This is in a git repo
on collab-maint along with a README about using it and updating packages
for wxPython 3.0 in general:

http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/wx-migration-tools.git

The script has some options to control the sorts of changes it makes -
see the README and --help output for more information - you can view
the latest version of the README online here:

http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/wx-migration-tools.git/tree/README

I've developed this script by trying to convert 20+ packages. Please
try it out on your package - in many cases, it should be enough to get
your package working (if it doesn't already) - if it does, please upload
(and close this bug).

If the script doesn't do the job, please let me know (or improve the
script if you can figure out what it needs to do to get your package
working).

Another issue you may hit is that wxWidgets 3.0 now defaults to enabling
its WXDEBUG checks for incorrect API usage, so some applications will
emit scary sounding assertion failures. These are unlikely to
actually be new, just in a default build of 2.8, such incorrect uses
were handled quietly behind the scenes. Sometimes these are easy to
fix, but if not you can easily patch the application to tell wx 3.0 to
handle them in the same way wx 2.8 does - details of how to do so are in
the README:

http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/wx-migration-tools.git/tree/README

I'm happy to sponsor uploads for this transition, though if you have an
active sponsor already check with them first - I don't want to tread on
anyone's toes.

Cheers,
Olly

Thanks, this is useful. According to this, the only reverse-deps are
 linux-any packages:

 | $ reverse-depends src:mutter
 [...]
 | * gnome-core-devel (for libmutter-dev)

  ^

(Oh well, no reverse dependencies and it looks like the kfreebsd binaries
doesn't exist for it so I guess I can take care of this.)

I already did ;) see #763729.

By the way I also looked at this a day or two before this bug was filed, and it
didn't seem easy. gbm seems to be used a lot now. So for now I think removing
the binaries is the best solution.

Hi,

Vasudev Kamath wrote (02 Oct 2014 05:23:48 GMT) :
Well probably bug should be closed, because the new package is just
transitional package and doesn't have any source in it which was the
 reason for this bug report.

Isn't it a transitional package depending on the one that now ships
the font? Isn't the font still affected by the problem this bug
is about?

Bug#763049: m68k machines not coming up after last update

2014-10-02 Thread Thorsten Glaser
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA384

#763614 causes our machines to no longer boot, since they usually
at most use klibc-utils to get small ramdisks. AIUI, the “fix” is
to install busybox or busybox-static. This is not enough, you have
to run “update-initramfs -u” manually afterwards. Then, copy out
the initrd to the host OS filesystem (VM host for ARAnyM; AmigaOS,
TOS, or MacOS otherwise). A reboot with the newly generated initrd
works for my VMs.

Three of four VMs I have did not have anything installed, the forth
has busybox-static. I uploaded its initrd to:
https://people.debian.org/~tg/initrd.img-3.16-2-m68k
sha1sum: 9bb798320e0e6a3f4d789f7674663f9a8f01cfbb

I succeeded in booting the other three VMs with this initrd.

SCNR but to note that mksh has a realpath builtin and compiles
cleanly with klibc.

bye,

to run “update-initramfs -u” manually afterwards. Then, copy out
the initrd to the host OS filesystem (VM host for ARAnyM; AmigaOS,

 works for my VMs.

Seems to be the issue that I stumbled into as well, thanks for digging
up a solution to the problem!

I will test whether just installing busybox, busybox-static and
calling update-initramfs will fix the issue for me and report back.

SCNR but to note that mksh has a realpath builtin and compiles
 cleanly with klibc.

Yes, but unfortunately, most people agreed on using bash and often you
have no other choice but to use it. I'd also rather use zsh.

initrd uses klibc’s flavour of dash ☹ or some variant of a busybox
shell, which is probably even worse.

Honestly, I should split off mksh-static and/or lksh into separate
packages, and beat the initramfs-tools maintainers into submission
so that they use it instead. ☻☺ (CoC note: not serious here.)

Dammit, this is worse than I thought. It's not fixed by applying a workaround
patch [1] to GTK+2 (like it's been fixed in every other app failing with the

Bug#759745: gdm3: Unable to login post-upgrade without systemd-sysv installed

2014-10-02 Thread Lennert Van Alboom
Hi there,

It's very well possible that this is a policykit issue - although I'm not 100%
sure yet; it happens *before* anything user related after all. This is the bare
gdm3 itself which doesn't work (it doesn't show any login/password fields). I
would instinctively start looking at systemd-logind, but I wouldn't have the
faintest clue on how those two play together.

Is there a way to get a list of all policykit groups that exist on a system,
and what they do?

Thanks,

Lennert

Bug#763759: bash: please drop debian-specific privmode disablement patch

2014-10-02 Thread Henrique de Moraes Holschuh
Package: bash
Version: 4.2+dfsg-0.1+deb7u3
Severity: grave
Tags: security
Justification: user security hole

This is not about a new security problem.

This bug is a request for re-evaluation of debian/patches/privmode.diff, in
light of the recent developments re. bash security. This patch was added to
Debian's bash packages a _very_ long time ago, to bash 2.03-2.

Please downgrade and tag this bug wontfix if you feel we should still
carry the privmode.diff patch in Debian.

The above mentioned patch disables one of the security defenses in upstream
/bin/bash against privilege escalation attacks. Specifically, it prevents
the early drop of setuid/setgid priviledges, and also prevents the secure
behavior (not importing shell functions, not executing startup scripts,
etc) when /bin/bash is _NOT_ used as /bin/sh.

This behaviour change is surprising to just about everyone, including Debian
users. While it is mentioned in very cryptic form in the README.Debian
file, the manpage still documents the upstream behaviour.

I request that we remove the debian/patches/privmode.diff local change from
the bash packages in unstable, and preferably also from stable and
squeeze-lts, in light of Shellshock, and also past vulnerability history.

Bug#763769: glabels exists with Abort when creating a new document

2014-10-02 Thread Pietro Abate
Package: glabels
Version: 3.0.1-4+b1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

The problem is simple. From the command line I run glabels.
The main window appears. I click on the button to create a
new document and glabels abort. This is warning displayed
on the console.

The only think that is unsual about my installation is that
I'm using xfce4 with awsome as window manager.

I'm happy to provide more details if needed.

Sorry. My fault. It builds ok.

Bug#763777: fsck: Superblock set in the future, fixing system clock

2014-10-02 Thread Michael Biebl
Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.117
Severity: serious

After the upgrade from 0.116 to 0.117 I get this error message on every
boot for /, and as a result fsck is also run on every boot for /.

Note, my hardware clock runs in local time and I use UTC=no in
/etc/default/rcS resp. LOCAL in /etc/adjtime

# cat /etc/adjtime

Downgrading to 0.116 fixes the problem.

I'm marking this as RC, since this needs to be fixed for jessie.

This issue has been fixed in all Debian releases.

If you're not running a Debian release, then you'll either have to
manually remove the symlink, or remove lilypond-doc and install the new

Bug#763780: apt-get: Insecure temporary changelog handling

2014-10-02 Thread Guillem Jover
Package: apt
Version: 0.8.7
Severity: serious
Tags: security patch

Hi!

I've found an instance of insecure temporary filenames handling. The
problem is that the code correctly creates a temporary directory, but
then uses that name as just a prefix for the created changelog
filename, thus creating it alongside the tamporary directory (instead
of inside of it), and making it very much predictable. This is worsened
due to the time it takes apt-get to download the changelog from the net,
which gives a very huge window to use that pathname.

Attached a patch fixing this. This affects all versions starting from
the one in squeeze.

I'm not sure if this deserves a CVE or perhaps a lower severity?

Thanks,
Guillem

Subject: [PATCH] apt-get: Create the temporary downloaded changelog inside
 tmpdir

The code is creating a secure temporary directory, but then creates
the changelog alongside the tmpdir in the same base directory. This
defeats the secure tmpdir creation, making the filename predictable.

Inject a '/' between the tmpdir and the changelog filename.

Bug#763148: Prevent migration to jessie

Bug#763148: Prevent migration to jessie

2014-10-02 Thread Andreas Cadhalpun

Hi Moritz,

On 02.10.2014 18:43, Moritz Mühlenhoff wrote:

This would be understandable, yes.

There are now two options:
a) Let FFmpeg migrate to testing and make chromium use it.
b) Don't let FFmpeg migrate and let chromium continue to use the
embedded copy, in spite of the policy violation.
If this really would be preferred, then the FFmpeg libraries and

wheezy.

Chromium is actually a special case. It's a huge monster package which is
very difficult to integrate and maintain.

One of the reasons that make it difficult to integrate is that it embeds
many other projects. (The third_party folder in the chromium source tree
contains 150 subfolders!)
From chromium's debian/rules one can see that the chromium maintainers
try to use system libraries wherever possible, e.g. for bzip2, libjpeg,
libpng and so on. It also already contains (outdated) support for using
system FFmpeg libraries, but using that was not possible, because FFmpeg
hadn't been available in Debian since squeeze until very recently.
So I hope the maintainer of chromium is now happy to be able to use more
system libraries.

You seem to have missed that for Chromium we rebuild the current upstream
releases in stable.

I was aware of that and as I understand it, this is not something the
security team likes very much.

Since there're not guarantees for any kind of API stability in
the local ffmpeg copy that is obviously not a good idea.

Great that we agree on b) being no good idea.

So can we now go forward with a) by letting FFmpeg migrate to testing?

Best regards,
Andreas

Bug#763787: libglib2.0-0: applications abort with Attempt to unlock mutex that was not locked message

2014-10-02 Thread Kalle Sandström
Source: libglib2.0-0
Version: 2.42.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
 - customary apt-get upgrade from testing

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
 - start of application (deadbeef, sonata) from window manager or terminal
   window

   * What was the outcome of this action?
 - window appears, then disappears instantly
 - error message on terminal window

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
 - window appears, application enters usable state

Downgrading all glib2 packages to 2.41.1-2 from snapshot.debian.org solves the
problem, as described above, entirely.

I've classified the bug as grave and rendering package unusable, however,
since glib2 provides no independent functionality to the flesh-and-blood user,
this implies unusability in packages that utilize glib2.

I'm surprised that this sort of garba^Wunfortunate malfunction, for which bug
#758619 has existed since 19th of August this year, can still hit testing; and
that it has seemingly gone untested to a degree at which the bug hasn't been
seen by the glib2 maintainers. Nor, seemingly, glib2's developers. Or anyone
else in the chain of consumption.

This report may be merged with #758619 since terminal-mode reportbug didn't
offer to do so already.

Regards,
  -KS

Bug#761629: Quick response from upstream!

2014-10-02 Thread Ross Gammon
Received this today:

Hi Ross,

I'm currently unable to check this issue directly on Debian Unstable,
anyway I discovered in the meanwhile that the same identical problem
affects Debian Testing and Ubuntu 14.04: all them ships wxWidgets 3.0.x

the real cause of this bug is really puzzling: immediately after
selecting the Shapefile path the app will then attempt to identify
the appropriate platform charset name.
the actual code supporting this task is located on libspatialite
in -/src/gaiaaux/gg_utf8.c - gaiaGetLocaleCharset()
on every Linux this simply ends up in calling nl_langinfo(CODESET)

and here happens the puzzling issue: e.g. Fedora (wxGTK-2.8) will
return 'UTF-8' exactly as expected.

Ubuntu wxGTK-3.0 will return insead 'ANSI_X3.4-1968': AFAIK this
simply is an alias name for US-ASCII, anyway it's *not* defined in
the standard list of well-known charsets supported by spatialite_gui
(based on common iconv definitions) and this causes an invalid pointer
to be returned, thus finally causing the reported crash.

counter-check: I've just applied this brutal patch on Main.cpp
near line 280:

- LocaleCharset = wxString::FromUTF8(gaiaGetLocaleCharset());
+ LocaleCharset = wxT(UTF-8);

this seems to succesfully eradicate the crash (indirectly confirming
that the crash cause is to be identified in the crazy charset name
returned bu Ubuntu, and I strongly suspect from Debian as well).

I'm absolutely unaware if this odd issue is caused by Debian/Ubuntu
or by wxGTK-3.0.x; the ubunu shell apparently reports UTF-8 as
the default charset currently used, and this focuses the strongest
suspects on wxGTK-3.0

surely to be investigated in more depth

bye Sandro

---
And then:

Hi Ross,

there is an interesting follow-up: googling around I've found this
old Debian ticket:

https://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2008/08/msg00146.html

so it looks that on Debian (and Debian-derived such as Ubuntu)
ANSI_X3.4-1968 is the expected default charset name until the
program explicitly asks to import all Locale definitions from
the environment.
after this the charset name will become UTF-8 as usually expected.

accordingly to all this the most appropriate patch seems to be the
following one (to be placed on the very first line of the Main ctor):

   {
   //
   // main GUI frame constructor
   //
+   setlocale(LC_ALL, );

it's just a suspect of my own, but probably wxGTK-2.8 automatically
performed this task during its own initialization, whilst wxGTK-3.x
doesn't

bye Sandro

Bug#763157: [PATCH initramfs-tools 0/5] Only mount /usr if the real init is systemd

Also, we must not run fsck in the initramfs because the system clock may
not be correct yet; see #763777.

Unfortunately, systemd does not fsck /usr if it's already mounted.
Which means this is now broken for all init systems!

I don't know what you want changed, but there's certainly no critical bug on
systemd. If you don't want packages to depend on systemd, that'd be bugs in
those packages, not on systemd (but honestly I'll probably close any such bugs
on any of my packages).

Anyway, you can install systemd, libpam-systemd and systemd-shim and keep
running any init system. But if you don't want to install those, that's fine.
Just don't. But don't complain if some package links with libsystemd0 in order
to be able to talk to some systemd service if that's available.

Regards,
  -KS

The error .eh_frame_hdr had already be seen elsewhere and on other
architectures for example llvm-3.4 on s390x so I'm not sure what the
real cause is, and how kbsd specific it is. I assume we will see it
more and more often on more architectures when more chroots are
updated.

The error message had been introduced with
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gnu.binutils/66759 to detect an
error, so we seem to need a fix for the underlying error.

Package: python-pypdf2
Version: 1.23-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

up to date version of python-pypdf2 package doesn't contain the PyPDF2
library neither it requires it's installation through dependencies.

The PyPDF2 library is instead in python-pypdf library, most likely a
mistake in package build.

Bug#745969: guile-1.8: FTBFS: conflicting types for 'yyget_leng'

2014-10-02 Thread Andreas Barth
* Rob Browning (r...@defaultvalue.org) [141002 18:59]:
 Daniel Schepler dschep...@gmail.com writes:

Well, I was actually just pulling it into my bootstrapping process as a
  build
  dependency of swig2.0 and autogen.

OK, I've filed migration bugs against both. I'm guessing that perhaps
once they migrate, you can migrate?

I'm not sure if this will actually happen in time for jessie, because looking
at the current packages in testing using guile-1.8:

anubis: anubis [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 mips mipsel
powerpc s390x]
not yet updated, no explizit patch

dico: dico-module-guile [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386
mips mipsel powerpc s390x]
FTBFS on three arches since the update, bug just filed

drgeo: drgeo [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 mips mipsel
powerpc s390x]
Bug closed by package still depends on guile-1.8

gnubik: gnubik [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 mips mipsel
powerpc s390x]
waiting for migration (3 of 5 days)

guile-cairo: guile-cairo [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386
mips mipsel powerpc s390x]
 guile-cairo-dev [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64
kfreebsd-i386 mips mipsel powerpc s390x]
FTBFS on two arches since the update, because guile-snarf depends on gcc-4.8
without an package dependency
(at least on armhf / armel), bug just filed

guile-lib: guile-library
Still depends on guile-1.8 in spite of the NMU

lilypond: lilypond [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 mips
mipsel powerpc s390x]
waiting on upstream

mailutils: mailutils-guile
not fixed

trackballs: trackballs [amd64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386
mips mipsel powerpc s390x]
nothing yet

Especially as the freeze is in about a month, I don't think this will
be acomplished unless someone is pushing really hard right now. So I
think it would be helpful to fix the guile-1.8-bug now. Of course,
individual packages could still migrate to guile-2.0 as they consider
fit, until the freeze date.

Ok, is that going to happen anytime soon?

As soon as the dummy libjpeg-progs has been removed, which does not seem
 to be
 the case yet.

Bug#745969: guile-1.8: FTBFS: conflicting types for 'yyget_leng'

2014-10-02 Thread Rob Browning
Andreas Barth a...@ayous.org writes:

Especially as the freeze is in about a month, I don't think this will
be acomplished unless someone is pushing really hard right now.

Possibly, but I'd still like to make the attempt -- and we *have* been
making progress (in unstable at least).

And note that I believe there's also a chance that some of the packages
may just be removed from Debian. So I'd like to see how close we can
get by the pre-freeze deadline.

Thanks

But libjpeg-turbo is still hijacking libjpeg62 as far as I can see.

I am not sure why the old libjpeg-progs 1:1.3.1-3 binaries are still in
sid. Maybe you need to ask the ftp-masters to remove them.

Cheers,
Bill.
