Source: libjson-rpc-cpp
Version: 0.4.2-3
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source

Builds of libjson-rpc-cpp failed for several architectures with the error

  /«PKGBUILDDIR»/src/test/test_integration.cpp:17:35: fatal error:
gen/abstractsubserver.h: No such file or directory

It looks like this error may stem from an undeclared dependency that's
only a problem in parallel builds; if so, you might consider simply
dropping --parallel from your dh invocations for now.

Could you please take a look?

Thanks!

Bug#780007: db5.3 build-depends on debhelper >= 9.20141221~ but jessie only has 9.20141022

2015-03-07 Thread peter green

Package: db5.3
Version: 5.3.28-9
Severity: serious
Tags: jessie
x-debbugs-cc: debhel...@packages.debian.org

The version of db5.3 that just migrated to testing build-depends on
debhelper >= 9.20141221~ but jessie only has 9.20141022 . This means
that db5.3 cannot be built in jessie.

I notice that the recent debhelper uploads were made by Niels Thykier
who is also a release manager. I don't know if that means there is an
intention to unblock debhelper or not.

Hi Klaus,

taskwarrior 2.4.1-1 was accidentally uploaded in unstable.
You can see the original changelog on mentors.d.n using this dsc

Dear Maintainer,

I've just upgraded emacs24 on my Debian wheezy machine and the package
fails to configure itself. The actual reason is that it can't
byte-compile some files from apel (10.8-2) and org-mode (8.0.7-2~bpo70+1)
packages. See the attached log files.

I have found a piece of hint that might be helpful in solving this

Bug#779689: RFS libjson-rpc-cpp

2015-03-07 Thread Peter Spiess-Knafl
Hi Aaaron!

I spent a lot of time analyzing the build logs from the failing
architectures and I think I have fixed the bugs you have reported. But
my usual sponsor is currently not responsive. Could you sponsor my
updated package on mentors?

http://mentors.debian.net/package/libjson-rpc-cpp

Basically I added a patch for the manpage creation, and removed the
parallel building, as it makes sense that the test suite fails because
of this.

Thank you in advance.
Greetings
Peter

Thanks - though I finally managed to release -5 today. It includes this
this "Breaks", though moved to emacsen24-common, and a fix for
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=767949.

  emacs24 (24.4+1-5) unstable; urgency=medium

* emacs24-common: conflict with obsolete gnus-bonus-el package.
Thanks to Hilko Bengen for reporting the problem. (Closes: 767949)

* Add "Breaks: apel (<< 10.8+0.20120427-4)" to emacs24-common to fix
a byte-compilation problem with older versions of the package.
Thanks to Łukasz Stelmach for the report and Sébastien Villemot

Bug#779048: libjpeg-turbo: Migration of jpeg-progs from Wheezy to Jessie

2015-03-07 Thread Ondřej Surý
Hi Niels,

was src:libjpeg9 ever part of jessie? E.g. should I bump epoch on the
upload?

Also do you think I should fill bug on libjpeg9 asking maintainer to
rename libjpeg-progs to (f.e.) libjpeg9-progs to have a plan for
jessie+1?

Sorry it took so long, I almost forgot about this.

Cheers,
Ondrej

Package: memcached
Version: 1.4.21-1
Severity: important

Making changed to the memcached.conf file does not have any impact on the
running process.

It always starts with the following options regardless of what is set in the
conf file:
/usr/bin/memcached -p 11211 -u memcache -m 64 -c 1024 -l 127.0.0.1

I did notice that commenting out the ". /lib/lsb/init-functions" line in
/etc/init.d/memcached does result in it start correctly, but that obviously
breaks other things.

If changing the kernel helps then it's probably not a bug in kde-workspace-

Control: notfound -1 josm/0.0.svn7643+dfsg1-1
Control: severity -1 normal

Hi Salvo,

I also cannot reproduce the issue with the JOSM version in jessie & sid.

Since the SSL certificates are an issue on the server side, not in JOSM
itself, this is not a bug in the package.

You can edit the tile URLs in the Preferences to use HTTP instead of
HTTPS, so the grave severity is not justified.

Please let us know if the issues has been resolved on your end too.

Kind Regards,

Bas

I've uploaded to DELAYED/2 a NMU that adds this Breaks relationship, and
should therefore fix partial upgrades where emacs24 is installed before
apel is upgraded. The debdiff is attached.

I could not reproduce this issue with either org-mode or notmuch-emacs,
so I did not add such Breaks relationship. Don't hesitate though to give
more details about the problem you encountered, if you are able to
reproduce it.

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'wheezy'.
It installed fine in 'wheezy', then the upgrade to 'jessie' fails.

This is caused by the incompatible dependencies in the *old*
qtsmbstatusd initscript, but that won't be replaced before the
configure stage (which requires samba to be configured first).
Being activated, the old initscripts causes insserv to error out.

The recently added Breaks in samba is not sufficient to fix this.
This is especially a problem for wheezy->jessie upgrades since jessie
has no qtsmbstatus-server package.

cheers,

Andreas

It may be worthwhile to upgrade to JOSM 8109 available in experimental.

The certificate for the tile you mentioned is valid until 10/19/2017
when I checked it just now.

Can you try again?

Maybe the OSM admins have changed the certificates in the mean time. Or
the problem could be limited to a subset of the geographically
distributed tile servers.

Kind Regards,

Bas

OTOH you already have "Depends: python3-apt" in stdeb.cfg so you just need
to change it to "Depends3: python3-apt".

Looks like dh-python doesn't handle Requires: lines in PKG-INFO, only in
.egg-info and requires.txt.
Anyway, manually specifying deps on other modules is quite common so it
is not a problem. I'll prepare a NMU.

Thanks for doing these cleanups. However, as these bugs aren't interesting for
people who are looking for RC bugs to fix, I downgraded them for now. Please
file a removal bug (for jessie or unstable, depending on what you think is
best) for them in a few days.
