Package: php-xml-rss Version: 1.0.2-3 Severity: serious [Filled as RC by a team member to see it autoremoved from testing if nobody disagrees. Please, do downgrade it with an explanation if you disagree.] php-xml-rss has no reverse (build-)dependencies, has not been updated upstream in the last four years, and is officially not maintained upstream anymore. At least another package (libphp-magpierss) seem to provide similar features (but doesn’t seem to be much maintained either), other XML parser might be useful to provide equivalent features (e.g., php-sabre-xml, actively maintained, or php-picofeed currently in NEW). Bug#763148: Prevent migration to jessie
On 27.04.2015 00:01, Emilio Pozuelo Monfort wrote: On 26/04/15 19:06, Andreas Cadhalpun wrote: Dear release team, as you undoubtedly know: jessie has been released! \o/ Thus this bug is now obsolete and I'm closing it. Please remove the testing migration block of ffmpeg. I don't think you understand the problem. Having both ffmpeg and libav in the same release is the problem. But having mysql-5.5 and mariadb-10.0 in jessie is apparently no problem, despite previous claims. What's the difference? So at this moment, that block hint is not going to be removed. When will it be removed, if not now? Previously Moritz Mühlenhoff wrote [1]: After the jessie release a decision between libav and ffmpeg will need to be made. It certainly possible to have them co-exist for a year or so, but the decision needs to be made before the jessie+1 freeze. How do you think this should go forward? Bug#783390: pymodbus: Debian/copyright has wrong license
Source: pymodbus Version: 1.2.0-2 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 4.5 Dear Maintainer, The debian/copyright file lists MIT as the upstream license, but the only references in the code are to BSD. From setup.py in 1.2.0-2: License :: OSI Approved :: BSD License In the version in New that I'm reviewing for experimental, there are additional references to BSD as well as the full text in doc/LICENSE. Since this is a pre-existing issue with the package, I'm not rejecting due to the issue, but it should be fixed ASAP. Additionally, pymodbus/__init__.py says: TwistedModbus is built on top of the code developed by: Copyright (c) 2001-2005 S.W.A.C. GmbH, Germany. Copyright (c) 2001-2005 S.W.A.C. Bohemia s.r.o., Czech Republic. Bug#783392: appstream: Copy of GPLv3 not included in source tarball
2015-04-26 19:53 GMT+02:00 Scott Kitterman deb...@kitterman.com: Source: appstream Version: 0.7.3-1 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 4.5 While reviewing this package in New, I discovered that the licensing of the upstream source is incomplete. Three files are GPLv3 or later: contrib/dep11/dep11-validate.py data/cmake/documentation.cmake docs/prepare-docbuild.sh While none of these files appear in the binary packages (so debian/copyright isn't implicated), the upstream tarball does have to include all the licenses to be properly distributable in Debian. The GPLv2 copy is not sufficient to cover GPLv3. Since this is an issue with the existing package and not a new issue, I'm not rejecting the package. Please coordinate with upstream and get this resolved. Since I am upstream, you can consider this issue to be resolved ;-) Looks like when we switched to GPLv2, some files were forgotten... Bug#783392: appstream: Copy of GPLv3 not included in source tarball
Source: appstream Version: 0.7.3-1 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 4.5 While reviewing this package in New, I discovered that the licensing of the upstream source is incomplete. Scott K -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#767465: (no subject)
Yes, this happens when installing from a USB drive, the installer mounts it as a cd-rom and it gets added to your sources file, but once your system gets installed the usb drive is never mounted (at least automatically) on the same place, you can solve your problem by editing your /etc/apt/sources.list file, comment out any line containing a cd-rom by adding # on the front of it, make sure the online repositories are not commented, then, do sudo apt-get update and you should be able to install everything from the internet, you won't be asked again for the cd -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Package: php-calendar Version: 0.5.5-2 Severity: serious [Filled as RC by a team member to see it autoremoved from testing if nobody disagrees. Please, do downgrade it with an explanation if you disagree.] php-calendar is a leaf package that has not been updated upstream in the last five years (even a bug report filed two days after the last release doesn’t have any follow up), not sure it’s still maintained. Furthermore, the package has a very low popcon. I intend to follow up with an RM request in a few months if nobody objects (but feel free to beat me to it). Bug#783441: Useless in Debian
Package: liboauth-php Version: 0~svn1262-1 Severity: serious [Filled as RC by the maintainer to see it autoremoved from testing if nobody disagrees. Please, do downgrade it with an explanation if you disagree.] liboauth-php is a leaf package that never had any proper release, and had not seen any activity in its VCS in over four years, not sure it’s still maintained (not much activity in upstream bug tracker in the last four years either). I intend to follow up with an RM request in a few months if nobody objects (but feel free to beat me to it). Regards David signature.asc Description: Digital signature
