+++ Sergio Costas [2015-06-20 23:58 +0200]:
 Package: gcc-4.9-arm-linux-gnueabihf
 Severity: grave
 Justification: renders package unusable

 Dear Maintainer,

When I try to install gcc-arm-linux-gnueabihf, neither apt-get, nor aptitude,
are able to do it, because gcc-4.9-arm-linux-gnueabihf depends on version
4.9.2-18 of libgcc-4.9-dev, but only 4.9.2-21 is available. The same for
 gcc-4.9-arm-linux-gnueabi.

Yes, the gcc packages got out of date and were not rebuildable (on
amd64) for a while due to 787004.

That's fixed now so I've just uploaded current packages.

Bug#789576: qtcreator: uninstallable on Jessie, dependency problem

So what are you doing there exactly? Do you have Qt5 from testing
installed by any chance? 5.3.2+dfsg-5 is not in
Jessie. 5.3.2+dfsg-4+deb8u1 is.

Your errors are coming from Qt5 libraries being installed from both
jessie (stable) and testing/sid.

- Adam

PS. This has very little to do with qtcreator itself, as you can see
by the packages conflicts. But it also has little to do with Qt5
either - you are mixing releases.

Thanks for your valuable report. Can you please describe a bit more

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package modifies conffiles.
This is forbidden by the policy, see
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-files.html#s-config-files

10.7.3: [...] The easy way to achieve this behavior is to make the
configuration file a conffile. [...] This implies that the default
version will be part of the package distribution, and must not be
modified by the maintainer scripts during installation (or at any
other time).

Note that once a package ships a modified version of that conffile,
dpkg will prompt the user for an action how to handle the upgrade of
this modified conffile (that was not modified by the user).

Further in 10.7.3: [...] must not ask unnecessary questions
(particularly during upgrades) [...]

If a configuration file is customized by a maintainer script after
having asked some debconf questions, it may not be marked as a
conffile. Instead a template could be installed in /usr/share and used
by the postinst script to fill in the custom values and create (or
update) the configuration file (preserving any user modifications!).
This file must be removed during postrm purge.
ucf(1) may help with these tasks.
See also http://wiki.debian.org/DpkgConffileHandling

In https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2012/09/msg00412.html and
followups it has been agreed that these bugs are to be filed with
severity serious.

debsums reports modification of the following files,
from the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  /etc/openvas/openvassd.conf

Bug#789541: abtransfers: Crash after successful money transfer

2015-06-22 Thread Micha Lenk

Hi Paul,

thank you for your valuable feedback.

If you still have the core file available, would you mind to install the
package libgwenhywfar60-dbg and re-run gdb to get some more details
about your crash?

Do you have any more details about how to trigger the crash? I.e. what
did you do right before the crash?

Best regards,
Micha

Bug#789576: closed by Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer perezme...@gmail.com (Re: Bug#789576: qtcreator: uninstallable on Jessie, dependency problem)

2015-06-22 Thread Leonard Norrgard
You're correct. It appears I didn't switch sources from Sid to Jessie in
time for the unfreezing of the archive.

In case someone else looks for how to fix a situation like this: Using
apt-show-versions | grep newer you can find out which packages are newer
than what your current sources say. After that, see for example
Downgrading to an earlier Debian branch at
http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Debian/downgrade.html for steps to correct the
situation.

PS. This has very little to do with qtcreator itself, as you can see
by the packages conflicts. But it also has little to do with Qt5
either - you are mixing releases.

Correct, and as such is not a bug, so I'm closing this one.

Dear Maintainer,

python-udiskie currently FTBFS because it doesn't build-depend on xsltproc.
Furthermore, without an Internet connection (like on Ubuntu's buildds), it
will FTBFS without the docbook-xsl package installed.

In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:

  * Build-depend on xsltproc and docbook-xsl to fix FTBFS.

Thanks for considering the patch.

Prefixing the dpkg-buildpackage call with “linux64 --uname-2.6”
makes it work. And yes, I agree, this is among *the* most idiotic

Bug#787378: eweouz: FTBFS with evolution-data-server 3.16

2015-06-22 Thread peter green

tags 787378 +patch
thanks

Googling for e_book_client_connect_sync brings us to

https://developer.gnome.org/eds/stable/eds-EBookClient.html#e-book-client-connect-sync

Which says

The /|wait_for_connected_seconds|/ argument had been added since 3.16,
to let the caller decide how long to wait for the backend to fully
connect to its (possibly remote) data store. This is required due to a
change in the authentication process, which is fully asynchronous and
done on the client side, while not every client is supposed to response
to authentication requests. In case the backend will not connect within
the set interval, then it is opened in an offline mode. A special value
-1 can be used to not wait for the connected state at all.

Setting the parameter to a rather arbitary value of 60 seconds produced
a successful build in a raspbian stretch chroot which I uploaded to
raspbian stretch. I have not tested it beyond checking that the build
succeeds in raspbian stretch. I have no intent to NMU this in Debian.

Hi:

Yes, the gcc packages got out of date and were not rebuildable (on
 amd64) for a while due to 787004.

That's fixed now so I've just uploaded current packages.

I did an update and install, but still fails... and I changed my
repositories to the main debian repos... :?

 Thanks for your valuable report.

Thank you for the fast reply and your work maintaining this package!

Can you please describe a bit more verbose what exact data you refer
to with the term the history? What is stored in the history?

The history lists all the executed(?) transactions of the past and is
stored in `$HOME/.abtransfers`.

I even believe that the whole content of the directory
`$HOME/.abtransfers` was lost.

Upgrading the gjs package to the version in experimental (as you can see
in my package list installed below) fixed the issue.

Marking severity to serious to prevent the package to migrate, before
the problem is fixed (mainly, upstream).

Cheers.

Closes: 787316
Changes:
 jackrabbit (2.10.1-1) unstable; urgency=high
 .
   * Team upload.
   * Imported Upstream version 2.10.1.
 - Fix CVE-2015-1833 (Closes: #787316)
When processing a WebDAV request body containing XML, the XML parser can
be instructed to read content from network resources accessible to the
host, identified by URI schemes such as http(s) or file. Depending on
the WebDAV request, this can not only be used to trigger internal network
requests, but might also be used to insert said content into the request,
potentially exposing it to the attacker and others.
   * Update watch file and track upstream's stable releases.
   * Update get-orig-source-target. Download the current version.
   * Drop orig-tar.sh script. We use upstream's tarballs now.
   * Repack the orig tarball. Change compression from zip to tar.xz.
   * Remove maven.publishedRules. It is not needed.
   * Use compat level 9 and require debhelper = 9.
   * Declare compliance with Debian Policy 3.9.6.
   * Use canonical Vcs fields.
   * wrap-and-sort -sa.
   * Drop modules.diff because we disable all modules except webdav in
 libjackrabbit.poms already.
   * Fix Format field. Add myself to debian/ copyright holders.
   * Use Files-Excluded mechanism to remove binary files.
   * Fix lintian warnings dep5-copyright-license-name-not-unique
 and comma-separated-files-in-dep5-copyright.
   * Drop build-classpath and fix Lintian warning about missing classpath for
 dependencies.
   * Use maven-debian-helper and Maven as build system. Drop all ant
 build-dependencies.

Dear Debian folks,

AB-Transfers crashed (I’ll send a separate report for that) and after
starting it again, all the data for the history was lost.

Therefore I am setting the severity to *grave*.

Thanks,

I guess that means 0.94 in whatever variant ever is not affected, and
it's only something wrong in jessie. But probably also not for

So we have to find the reason why it happens for you but not for

BTW, Christophe recently mentioned release plans on the mailing list

Maybe those patches get in too.

Package: mitmproxy

Thanks for maintaining mitmproxy!

Unfortunately, it's uninstallable as python-configargparse is a
dependency of mitmproxy, but is not yet available in the archive.

Even after manually building a local copy of python-cofigargparse, it
fails to run:

As it requires a versioned dependency on python-netlib =0.11.2.

But that's still not enough to fix the issue:

},

}

Though it looks like all the other versioned deps defined there are
available in Debian.

Dear Maintainer,

aspell-pl currently FTBFS in unstable because it doesn't build-depend on
aspell, and thus the related commands necessary for the Makefile/configure
script do not work.

In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:

  * Build-depend on aspell to fix FTBFS.

Thanks for considering the patch.

Hi,

libappstream-glib-dev is missing a dependency against libarchive-dev.

The .pc file shipped in this package requires it.

Bug#788601: pitivi: segfaults on start, 100% of the time

2015-06-22 Thread Sebastian Dröge

I'm not sure how to do that, i run jessie with verion 0.93-4.2 and

I did download the universal bundle (0.94) from the pitivi website
but that includes all the dependencies and i think, as such, runs
 fine.

I guess that means 0.94 in whatever variant ever is not affected, and
it's only something wrong in jessie. But probably also not for
everybody, otherwise there would've been more complaints before.

So we have to find the reason why it happens for you but not for
others. I should set up a jessie install some time in the next days.

Dear maintainer,

as you can see at buildd [x], moarvm FTBFS on mipsel.
I've contacted upstream [x], and they say there is no support for mipsel in
dyncall.

Lets this bug be an information point for this issue.

Best regards.

'src/lib/CMakeFiles/qtsflphone.dir/call.cpp.o' failed

Removing ${KDE4_INCLUDES} from various CMakeLists.txt files fixed the
build failure in raspbian stretch. It has not been tested beyond that
but I would be surprised if it did not also fix the build failure for
Debian.

While I was working on the fix I ran into problems with the clean target
not cleaning up properly. I fixed a load of non-removed binaries but
then ran into a load of existing files that had been modified by the
build process which I didn't investigate further.

I've uploaded the fix to raspbian, a debdiff is attatched. No intent to
NMU in Debian.

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to remove some
diversions after upgrading from stretch to sid and removing the package
afterwards.

From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

0m23.8s ERROR: FAIL: Installed diversions (dpkg-divert) not removed by purge:
  diversion of /usr/share/man/man1/figtoipe.1.gz to
/usr/share/man/man1/figtoipe.distrib.1.gz by figtoipe
diversion of /usr/bin/figtoipe to /usr/bin/figtoipe.distrib by figtoipe

If the diversions were used by the old package and are no longer needed
by the new one in sid, you should perform the cleanup in the postinst script.

cheers,

Andreas

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from

It installed fine in 'jessie', then the upgrade to 'stretch' fails
because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a

Bug#788591: hiredis: FTBFS on powerpc

2015-06-22 Thread Tom Lee
Control: tags -1 confirmed

Thanks for the bug report Emilio. Seems to be an issue in either the
redis or jemalloc packages on powerpc rather than a bug in the hiredis
package itself. It was very easy to reproduce the redis-server
crashes, but all attempts to narrow it down to a specific line of code
in redis-server proved fruitless. Saw lots of strange memory
corruption going on. The crashes seemed more likely to happen near a
zfree(...) -- example crash below, with some of my own diagnostic
checks + a non-stripped build of redis-server.

If I reverse the patch in 03-use-system-jemalloc.diff in the redis
package link redis-server against the vendored jemalloc code the
crashes stop, so I'm inclined to believe this may be an issue with
Debian's jemalloc package.

Oddly if I rebuild Debian jemalloc package manually (unmodified) run
redis-server against that, everything works great. I'll raise a bug
against the jemalloc package to see if we can get to the bottom of
this.

Cheers,
Tom
