Package: nautilus-dropbox Version: 1.4.0-3 Followup-For: Bug #770402 Dear Maintainer, Installing nautilus-dropbox on Wheezy leads to the hang at "Downloading Dropbox... 100%" as reported earlier. This leaves apt in an unrecoverable state, as apt needs to complete the installation before doing anything else. Please consider removing this package from Wheezy in the next update. I think people like myself who use oldstable don't have time to waste with stuff like this. I'm going to upload a new policy to unstable that closes this bug. It allows udev to restart systemd services (the core problem with allow-hotplug). removing libreoffice-gtk, libreoffice-gt3, and libreoffice-gnome (which depends on libreoffice-gtk3) does work around the problem, cheers! Looks are different, but I can live with that until a fix is available. I'm using XFCE.

The libdevice-cdio-perl package fails to build on current sid because
of the libmodule-build-perl change in 0.421400-2 that sorts results of
Module::Build::Base::rscan_dir() [see #797709].
The libdevice-cdio-perl Build.PL contains this:
my $cfiles = $self->rscan_dir('./',qr/\.c$/);
and later it basically looks at the basename of the file and
skips it if one by that name has already been compiled.
Now, the rscan_dir() call finds files like
./.pc/07_fix_perl_5.16_ftbfs.patch/perlmmc_wrap.c
and the Module::Build change moves those up on the list so they get
compiled first, spectacularly breaking the build of course. See
https://reproducible.debian.net/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/libdevice-cdio-perl.html
for the results.
So the libdevice-cdio-perl build relies on ./perlmmc_wrap.c coming before
./.pc/07_fix_perl_5.16_ftbfs.patch/perlmmc_wrap.c in the rscan_dir()
results, and our change breaks that.
It turns out I was wrong with my patch for #797709 in that I assumed
that the order of the File::Find::find() return list is altogether
undeterministic, while it apparently takes care to process regular files
first and only then recurses into subdirectories. This isn't particularly
well (if at all) documented, but the code (or at least the comments; my
eyes bleed already from the actual code) at
https://sources.debian.net/src/perl/5.20.2-6/ext/File-Find/lib/File/Find.pm/#L763
or thereabouts seems to confirm it.
So we need to sort more smartly, and I don't have patch right now.
I suggest to revert the patch and reopen #797709 for the time being.

Bug#572828: Abandoned packages blocking gnet removal
Hello. I've reassigned the bug reports to ask for removal since there bugs are 5 years old, the maintainer hasn't even bothered commenting on them, the packages has quite low popcon (~ 300 inst, ~ 20 vote) it doesn't feel like there's any reason to wait with gnet removal for these packages which noone cares about. +Since commit 8eb55d782a2b9afacc7938694891cc6fad7b42a5, when you parse
+and save an URI that has no server (or similar) part, two slashes
+after the 'schema:' get lost. It means 'uri:///noserver' is turned
+into 'uri:/noserver'.
+
+basically
+ foo:///only/path
+
+means a host of "" while
+
+ foo:/only/path
+
+means no host at all
+
+ So the best fix IMHO is to fix the URI parser to record the first
+case and an empty host string and the second case as a NULL host string
+
+ I would not revert the initial patch, we should not 'invent' those
+slash, but we should instead when parsing keep the information that
+it's a host based path and that foo:/// means the presence of a host
+but an empty one.
+
+Once applied the resulting patch below, all cases seems to be saved
+properly:

+minimize ABI breakage, so I could not extend the field. The natural
+solution is to denote that uri:/// has an empty host by making

+Simplest was to stick the port to -1 in that case, instead of 0
