Bug#714547: gnome-panel: Gnome-panel does not appear

2013-07-01 Thread Örjan Ekeberg
This is probably due to the incompatibility between gnome-bluetooth 3.8.1-1
and gnome-shell 3.4.2-8 as reported in bug 712861. Uppgrading package
gnome-shell-common to version 3.4.2-9 (currenly in sid but not yet in
testing) seems to fix the problem.

Bug#414612: xserver-xorg-video-intel: undefined symbol i830PipeFindClosestMode

The code which calls this function seems to have been removed

Ok. I did not realize that the debian package was not identical to the
tarball 1.9.91 but extracted at a later stage. From a replay at the
xorg mailing list it seems as this is fixed in the current git.

Thanks for packaging this driver for experimental. It really helps me
alot sins it allows me to use xrandr 1.2 functionality, even at this
prerelease stage.

Bug#414612: xserver-xorg-video-intel: undefined symbol i830PipeFindClosestMode

2007-03-12 Thread Örjan Ekeberg
Yeah, I reproduced that, sorry :/
I guess it'll be fixed with the next upstream release.

No, this is not an upstream bug. I looked at the source code and it is
actually the debian diff that removes the definition of
i830PipeFindClosestMode from the upstream source. My guess is that you
accidentally applied some old patches that are no longer relevant.

I tested by downloading the debian sources for this package, then
replacing everyting in the src directory with pure unpatched sources.
The package built (with some warnings, but I guess this is normal) and
this error is gone ;-)

Cheers,
Örjan
