So far it was only tested and setup to work with module-assistant and linux-modules-2.6-nonfree. Should it not depend on module-assistant then? No, since you can use module assistant, or you can have it built using linux-modules-2.6-nonfree (just as soon as we get it enabled in that). It doesn't require module-assistant, but it does work with it if you choose to use it. I do plan to make it work with make-kpkg again soon (which I unfortunately broke as part of making it work with 2.6.29 and linux-modules-2.6-nonfree). What arguments/environment do you pass along to binary_modules? It was never meant to be used without arguments after all. KSRC=/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.26-2-amd64 KVERS=2.6.26-2-amd64 Well if you passed along a VERSION= as well, it would probably work. Something like: VERSION=180.44-2+2.6.29-3 That would match what module-assistant is setting it to. That is whatever the version of the nvidia package is plus whatever the version of the kernel headers package is. ok, but I maybe will give module-assistant a try. -- Mvh Anders Lagerås pgptvAeGYrfdB.pgp Description: PGP signature

Bug#428150: amule will not start, due to Illegal instruction
Hello. Yes I do. I suspect the problem to be in libcrypto++, which may be compiled with optimization flags not suitable for PII. I've prepared a new version which does not use those flags, could you both please install this version and report if amule works now? Thanks. It seems to works just fine with the new libcrypto package. -- Mvh Anders Lagerås pgpkLbSJqKSBM.pgp Description: PGP signature
