The same bug for powerpc.
Is there a package 2.4.2.1-1.1 for powerpc ?

For a workaround, downgrade to the version 10.030.

2005-11-07 Thread B. Zhang
Same problem here on powerpc (udev version 0.072-1) (It seems that udevd
was stopped.).

I downloaded the package and "dpkg -i" it.

Best regards,
Bin

Bug#321690: synaptic: Segmentation fault (powerpc ibook G4)

I don't know.

I installed the scim and scim-gtk2-immodule version 1.4.1-1 (powerpc).
This removed scim-chinese 0.4.2, and I could run synaptic without
problem.

scim 1.4 needs the new IM engine scim-pinyin (scim-chinese renames to
scim-pinyin after 0.4.2) which is not yet in unstable. I installed
scim-pinyin 0.5.91 from source.
Now scim and synaptic work fine without problem.

Thanks for your help,
Bin
