Bug#691606: [locales] Causes system to fail to boot with floating point exceptions

2012-10-27 Thread Beojan Stanislaus
Package: locales
Version: 2.13-36
Severity: critical

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
This version of locales causes any script that includes the line
  . /etc/default/locales

to exit with a floating point exception. Unfortunately, dash shows this as
multiple commands within the script exiting with "trap divide error" followed
by floating point error, making the error very difficult to determine the
cause of.

This bug causes the system to fail to boot, and prevents the scripts in
/etc/init.d from running correctly.

With the fglrx driver installed and enabled, starting X gives a completely
blank black screen. It is not possible to use the ctrl-alt-f1 sequence to
return to the virtual console.

Bug#583226: scidavis can not be executed

A recompile of the scidavis package solves this bug for me, so maybe this
package could rebuilt.

The bug is not what you think I mean.
When I click, for example, "Themeing", after doubleclicking the profile
I get the list of options to enable/disable, but I cannot see the setup and
preview buttons.

Bug#445688: initramfs-tools: creates broken initramfs image

2007-10-07 Thread Beojan Stanislaus
Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.90a
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

The initramfs image generated by update-initramfs
stalls at a "waiting for root filesystem..." message.
After roughly 5 minutes, it drops to a shell saying the
filesystem doesn't exist. Other initramfs images(yaird)
work with same kernel, same bug on all kernals.
This is critical because this command is used to generate
the original initramfs when the kernel is installed.
