Bug#549433: Please explain

2009-11-01 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó

Hi Robert.

I don't understand the problem. Having no new releases in a while
shouldn't be enough to avoid this package. There's others packages in
Debian with few upstream releases or none, even with low responsiveness
and that doesn't hurt as long as there's no severe bugs in them which
need upstream help. In case bugs appear we can try to fix them by
ourselves.

I use this app everyday and I see no reason to prevent it reaching
testing and thus a greater audience. Can you better explain your
reasons? How can we help?

Best regards.

Raphael Geissert escrigué:

Hi everyone,

Could you please test the 5.2.11 packages and check whether it keeps
segfaulting or not?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

It seems like it doesn't segfault anymore, no problems so far. Tested
with Apache2 2.2.13-2 and PHP 5.2.11.dfsg.1-1

Thanks.
Best regards.

Hi,

I didn't receive it. Did you forget to attach it?

I'm still trying to get the message to your inbox. You aren't getting
too much unwanted messages, are you? :)

This is the third try, I hope you get it now.

Hi.

Exactly the same problem here. I'm on AMD64 too, maybe that's the
problem. I don't know if I can continue to use it or it will definitely
destroy my notes.

Hi,

First of all, if you're using 0.5.1 I suggest you make a backup of your
note directory (~/.gnote).

I would need some way to reproduce this problem. Try the following:

  - Rename your ~/.gnote.
  - Run gnote, it will create a new ~/.gnote.
  - Copy one of the "offending" notes (*.note files) to the new ~/.gnote
BEFORE it got corrupted.
  - Verify its current state. If the note has now been corrupted,
send me a copy of the old note (prior to corruption).

Btw, which version of gnote are you using?

I'm using version 0.5.1 and the previous version still in my apt cache
is 0.4.0. I don't have any backups, but I've tried downgrading to 0.4.0,
I've edited a new note and then upgrading again to 0.5.1 is working fine
with this note.

I had a note that hadn't been modified since june 8th, I've opened it
with 0.5.1 and it got corrupted immediately. I'm sending you this note
to your email before it got corrupted.

I hope this helps.

Bug#494561: [linux-kbuild-2.6.26] Scripts missing, module compilation fails

2008-08-10 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó

Package: linux-kbuild-2.6.26
Version: 2.6.26-2
Severity: serious

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Trying to build the nvidia module it complains about missing scripts, it
seems version 2.6.26-2 doesn't package the scripts in subdirectories.
After building these scripts from the source package and moving them to
/usr/src/linux-kbuild-2.6.26/scripts I can build the nvidia module.

Version 2.6.26-1 included these scripts. Source package for 2.6.26-2
compiles them but doesn't include them in the final package. Couldn't
tell why.

Debian.org lists the missing files as if they were inside the package,
but they're not, at least for amd64 arch.
