Bug#555946: Acknowledgement (audacious: Segmentation fault)
Hmm... it appears the problem is related to libcdio-cdda0 (required by audacious-plugins) When I upgraded libcdio-cdda0 from 0.78.2+dfsg1-3 to 0.81-4, the problem went away. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#555946: audacious: Segmentation fault
Package: audacious Version: 2.1-1+b1 Severity: serious *** Please type your report below this line *** When I start audacious by typing "audacious2" from the command line, I get a segmentation fault. There is no other output. This happens even after I move my .audacious directory out of the way. My normal approach to dealing with segmentation faults is to recompile the program, and I'll probably try that soon unless I hear otherwise from Debian. Let me know what troubleshooting I can do that will be most useful to debugging this package. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages audacious depends on: ii audacious-plugins 2.1-1 Base plugins for audacious ii dbus 1.2.1-5simple interprocess messaging syst ii dbus-x11 1.2.1-5+lenny1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii gtk2-engines-pixbuf 2.12.11-4 Pixbuf-based theme for GTK+ 2.x ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libaudclient2 2.1-1+b1 audacious dbus remote control libr ii libaudcore1 2.1-1+b1 audacious core engine library ii libaudid3tag2 2.1-1+b1 audacious id3 tag manipulation lib ii libaudutil1 2.1-1+b1 audacious utility library ii libc6 2.9-25 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-7The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.1-5+lenny1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.82-2 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libfontconfig12.6.0-3generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2+lenny1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.6-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.11-4 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libmcs1 0.7.1-1Abstraction library to store confi ii libmowgli10.6.1-1a high performance development fra ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-3 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsad2 2.1-1+b1 audacious scale and dither library ii libsamplerate00.1.4-1audio rate conversion library ii libsm62:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library Versions of packages audacious recommends: pn audacious-plugins-extra(no description available) ii unzip 5.52-12De-archiver for .zip files audacious suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
