Bug#367267: ftp.debian.org: still not there
Package: ftp.debian.org Followup-For: Bug #367267 Hello, The packages are still not in the right places, couldn't something like a move by hand be done? In order to have my local mirror synced I have to ignore errors (debmirror) which I don't really like. I wonder if this would affect the availability of the package in etch (as released, on cd images). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-686 Locale: LANG=ro_RO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ro_RO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- This message was scanned for viruses by BitDefender for Linux Mail Servers. tags 425933 pending thanks Since now jadetex is installable I was able to fix the build deps. This will be fixed in the 0.6.20 upload. I asked Eduard Bloch to do the upload, since he likes to do some checks of his own before an upload. If the original submitter is eager to test the fix, the source package can be obtained directly from SVN with the following command: svn export svn://svn.debian.org/svn/collab-maint/deb-maint/svn-buildpackage/tags/0.6.20 svn-buildpackage-0.6.20 This will create a svn-buildpackage-0.6.20 directory where the source package is. -- Regards, EddyP = "Imagination is more important than knowledge" A.Einstein signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

I have observed that the endless loop occurs if the gnu hits a wall which is inclined at such an angle that the gnu hits it with the head on the rising side of a jump. I will try to explain with some aiding ASCII drawing. \ \ __>__\ Assume ">" is the gnu which goes in the direction indicated by the sign. The commands are the listed ones by DDD in its console. The first interrupt was done to define the regs macro which prints the values of the relevant registers and of the angle variable. The second interrupt was done after I managed to block the gnu. Note: Although I have assembler background experience, I don't have such experience with PowerPC assembler. I think a better skilled person at PowerPC assembler than myself should analyze the code and say if this is a GCC bug or a platform bug (at least that's what I think this problems seems to be). - --8< (gdb) run Starting program: /home/eddy/tmp/_eraseme/wormux/wormux-0.7.4/src/wormux [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 805451968 (LWP 5200)] === Versiunea Wormux 0.7.4 === Autori: Anthony CARRE, Jean-Christophe DUBERGA, Laurent DEFERT SIMONNEAU, Lawrence AZZOUG, Matthieu FERTRE, Olivier Boyer, Renaud LOTTIAUX, Victor STINNER === Situl web: http://www.wormux.org Wormux version 0.7.4, Copyright (C) 2001-2006 Wormux team Wormux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. Bug#395197: ppp/detect_progress should be of type progress, not type note
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Package: ppp Version: 2.4.4rel-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Hello, I haven't tested this since there is no image with the 2.4.4rel-3, but I am fairly sure the ppp-udeb is unusable because the template ppp/detect_progress is of type note instead of progress. Bug#398757: konserve: fails to make backups
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Subject: konserve: fails to make backups Package: konserve Version: 0.10.3-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Hello, I have found that konserve chokes if the backup URL is an existant directory. Also, backups in a file does not work, generating a always a 2 bytes file. It claims during the wizard creation that it is capable of doing backups in directories, thus creating a file for each snapshot/backup (whatever) (as opposed to overwriting the file, is the backup URL is a file). The error is saying that it failed because the backup URL exists. Steps to reproduce: - - start the app from the menu from kde - - create a backup task of a directory (I chose ~/tmp/_eraseme just to test the app) via the wizard; select an existing directory (or create a new one) as the backup URL - - start a backup task by hand via the systray icon/backup task_name After a while there should be two error messages one saying the backup failed and the second complaing about the existing directory. - - change the backup URL to an existing file (or a non-existing one) in the aforementioned directory and force backup creation now like in the previous step After a while the disk activity will stop, but the backup URL file will be of size 2. - -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (900, 'unstable'), (100, 'experimental') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-1-powerpc Locale: LANG=ro_RO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ro_RO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages konserve depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-3 core libraries and binaries for al ii libacl12.2.41-1 Access control list shared library ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libattr1 2.4.32-1 Extended attribute shared library ii libaudio2 1.8-2 The Network Audio System (NAS). It appears that linking laptop-net with libcap0.8 fixes the issue. Also, note that on the upstream pcap homepage, 0.8 is mentioned to fix some 64 bit issue[1]: LIBPCAP 0.8.3 LIBPCAP version 0.8.3 has been released as of March 30, 2004. 0.8.3 fixes a minor problem with gencode.c on 64-bit architectures. Maybe is time to install timidity and check if I can reproduce the bug :-) (after some time) So I went on and changed the command, and came up with a patch. I could reproduce the bug on my machine after uncommenting the option in /etc/default, and, of course the result was fine after applying the patch... >> In fact, that's how I'd fix this bug if I had the time right now. > > Does this mean you don't have time (even with a patch), and would like an > NMU? No, you misunderstood. These don't work (according to /usr/share/doc/README.Debian, only for interfaces marked auto and using dhcp): /etc/init.d/networking restart /etc/init.d/networking start until you log in and enable the network interface. I meant that I haven't tested right out the box from a text console, before starting any X session, but the commands above did not work from X until NM fiddled with it. I have tested this after logging once and leaving the network configuration in an unconfigured state (according to NM); in this case, too the init script didn't work. The only case where the init script worked was when I enabled the interface from NM and *then* it worked, even if I logged out of the X session. This would work until NM disables/deconfigures(/whatever is appropriate term would be according to NM) the card, when the init script, again, has no effect. - -- Regards, EddyP = "Imagination is more important than knowledge" A.Einstein -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGCvjvY8Chqv3NRNoRAgxhAKCHVdznyRcpfbiIDo4ylwoVbjtE0QCfeObI fiwBm2Imgi25bLVFSVYGHaw= =tlRo -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
