Bug#1008653: backintime-qt: upstream works fine

2022-04-20 Thread Leonardo Canducci
Package: backintime-qt
Followup-For: Bug #1008653

I've installed backintime-qt from github (it's pretty straightforward,
just donwload the source and build two deb files with the provided
makedeb.sh) and it works fine.

Please update this package. I'm by no means a developer but it seems
like a trivial fix.

Bug#891615: python3-zeitgeist: consider removing dependency

2018-03-08 Thread Leonardo Canducci
Package: python3-zeitgeist
Version: 1.0.1-0.1
Followup-For: Bug #891615

Dear Maintainer,

is this package needed for zeitgeist - and gnome in genral - to work?

>From the previous messages this seems like a wontfix bug. Moreover this
particular package wasn't a dependency for previous verisons of
zeitgeist so is it possible to remove it as a dependency for zeitgeist?

AFAIK it's doing no harm but it's annoying seeing apt complaining about
it every time it's run.

Thanks, Leonardo

Bug#502375: upstream: wontfix

2008-10-27 Thread Leonardo Canducci
Package: virtualbox-ose
Followup-For: Bug #502375

I've just found that:
http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/1499

Basically it says:
You have to use either a 32-bit kernel and a 32-bit environment or a 64-bit
kernel and a 64-bit environment if you want to use VirtualBox.

That's why I can run virtualbox when running a 686 kernel and I can't when
running amd64 (both in 32 bit arch).

Bye.

Bug#502375: virtualbox-ose: still not working in sid

I did follow all the steps, as I said before: the procedure works for lenny
(my laptop) but still fails for sid (desktop). Kernel is different (2.6.26-8
vs 2.6.26-9) and laptop runs 686 version on a centrino 1.4 cpu while desktop
amd64 on intel core 2 duo.

Thanks,

Bug#502375: virtualbox-ose: virtualbox and vboxdrv don't match compiling with m-a

2008-10-23 Thread Leonardo Canducci
Package: virtualbox-ose
Version: 1.6.6-dfsg-2
Followup-For: Bug #502375

I've installed virtualbox-ose and virtualbox-ose-source then compiled the
driverwith module assistant (m-a a-i virtualbox-ose as root).

driver is loaded and modinfo reports:
[skip]
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.26-1-amd64/misc/vboxdrv.ko
version:1.6.6_OSE (0x0008)

virtualbox-ose log reports:
VirtualBox 1.6.6_OSE r35336 linux.x86

vm doesn't start and I get the same old error:
VirtualBox application are not matching. You can correct this by either
installing the correct virtualbox-ose-modules package (if available) through
apt-get or by building it manually with: module-assistant auto-install
virtualbox-ose.
VBox status code: -1912
(VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH).

Afaik virtualbox and modulde should be the same version, so what's wrong?
I'm attaching the log.
