Bug#325292: Is this bug still alive?
Hi, I am just upgrading testing and apt-listchanges shows me this bug as still alive. It is really weird, because apparently no KDE application was harmed when upgrading qt library. Is it still alive? Bug#346252: Can you allow at least kaffeine w/o gstreamer in testing?
According to http://bjorn.haxx.se/debian/testing.pl?package=kaffeine kaffeine is barred from entering testing just by this bug. However, kaffeine can work pretty well even just with more stable xine engine. Couldn't you let kaffeine come into testing just with that, please? On Fri 6. January 2006 16:55, Filipus Klutiero wrote: There are multiple other easily reproducible crashes and ugly bugs that show this package needs some QA. Nevertheless, the breakage of gstreamer + xine/arts is IMO enough to keep the package from entering testing. I know that kaffeine is pretty buggy, but without it we don't have a good KDE media player in testing (I am not sure about status of amaroK in testing -- I am personally on sid, this my wife's computer). Bug#345436: Thanks but not yet
Thanks editing /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/level3 kind of helped. This is my InputDevice section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf (one line broken for this message): Section InputDevice Identifier Generic Keyboard # Driver keyboard Driver kbd Option CoreKeyboard Option XkbRules xorg Option XkbModel pc104 # Option XkbLayout us # Option XkbModel inspiron Option XkbLayout cz,us Option XkbOptions \ compose:caps,grp:shifts_toggle,grp:led_scroll Option XkbVariantqwerty EndSection And this coming from xprop (again, line broken for this message): chelcicky:~$ xprop -root | grep XKB _XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = xorg, inspiron, cz_qwerty,us, \ , compose:caps,grp:shifts_toggle,grp:led_scroll chelcicky:~$ When I have fixed level3 I got my Win keys working in KDE, but KDE applications still cannot write Czech characters using deadkey (non-KDE like firefox and xterm are fine). Nothing interesting in any log. Also I made your change, XkbVariant ceased to work, so I had to download explicitly cz_qwerty keyboard (it DID work before I made the change to level3 file). Any idea?
