Bug#918832: ifupdown2 fails to configure networking when /var/tmp is not present

2019-01-09 Thread Maximilian Wilhelm
Package: ifupdown2
Version: 1.2.2-1
Severity: critical
Tags: patch
Justification: breaks the whole system

Hi Julien,

(for others who might also stumble accros this problem I open a bug here
 besides the PR on github)

we noticed that ifupdown2 fails to start and therefore fails to
configure any interfaces when /var/tmp is not present when starting
networking.service. This may happen when /var is on a separate file
system.

PR 87 addresses this issue with a dependency in the service file on the
/var/tmp filesystem. See https://github.com/CumulusNetworks/ifupdown2/pull/87
for a patch :-)

Please go ahead! As I'm not a DD/DM I would need a sponsor anyway. :)

Thanks for taking care of this!

Any idea when 'quite soon' will be?

Nearby I don't think this bug is closed right now.
I won't bother you if it would be easy to build KDE myself...

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kde: Depends: kde-core (>= 5:47) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: kde-amusements (>= 5:47) but it is not going to be installed

It seems to be a problem with the version of the packages kde depends on.

Bug#434220: wmusic gets removed on upgrade / cannot be installed because of replaced library libglib1.2

2007-07-22 Thread Maximilian Wilhelm
Package: wmusic
Version: 1.5.0-2
Severity: grave
Tags: patch
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi!

While upgrade my sid machine I discovered that wmusic has to be removed
because the "libglib1.2" library has been replaced by "libglib1.2ldbl"
which does not provide "libglib1.2". (see #433730)

A simple rebuild (without touching the control file) solved the problem
for wmusic.

Prepared packages can be found at:

deb http://debian.rfc2324.org/debian unstable main
deb-src http://debian.rfc2324.org/debian unstable main
