The simplest and fastest way is to download the sources from http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2004/11/13/debian/pool/main/p/pam-pgsql/, include the NMU changelog entries (i.e. copy debian/changelog from the current source) and re-release it without other source changes as 0.5.2-9 or higher. Bug#374204: please try sim-0.9.4
Alexander Petrov schrieb: 2. can I close the bug since sim starts fine? I strongly belive it's better style to keep bugs open even if it's an upstream bug. You should tag this bug 'upstream' and close it in the upload that really fixes this bug. The bug occurs, so it's still an issue which other users should have the possibility to know about. If it's reported upstream please mark the bug as forwarded with apropriate information. Closing bugs in uploads is much more nice to others as it documents *when* the bug has been closed in the debian/changelog. Closing bugs in uploads is described here: http://www.us.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/developers-reference/ch-pkgs.en.html#s-upload-bugfix Moreover you shouldn't send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] without providing a Version pseudo header. Package: backup-manager Version: 0.7.5-3 Severity: critical Tags: security Justification: root security hole Hi, I just discovered that backup-manager disclosures the FTP password during a running FTP upload in the process list. A user which has shell access on the computer simply needs to run the command ps wax | grep backup-manager to get the FTP username, hostname and password. The output is something like (I replaced here the sensitive data by FTPHOST, FTPUSER and FTPPASS): 3796 pts/1SN+0:00 /bin/bash /usr/sbin/backup-manager -v 12647 pts/1RN+0:47 /usr/bin/perl /usr/bin/backup-manager-upload -v --ftp-purge -m=ftp -h=FTPHOST -u=FTPUSER -p=FTPPASS ... Bug#377372: phplot: Doesn't work with PHP5

I just tried to figure out a fix for this bug, but whereas phplot is still working using PHP4 it does not work using PHP5. I checked whether it works by running all examples provided with the package. While I get quite nice plots and chart with PHP4 I didn't succeed with PHP5. Using PHP5 phplot apparently gets into an endless loop giving following error messages repeated all again: Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in /usr/share/phplot/phplot.php on line 4084 Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /usr/share/phplot/phplot.php on line 4084 Note: I needed to adapt the include() statements for the correct paths of phplot in order to get the examples running. As there is a new upstream version available which - according to a brief test - seems to work using PHP5 I suggest to upload a new upstream version rather than a bugfix. Thus I tag this bug fixed-upstream. So, please update the package. Greetings Micha -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#428936: nictools-pci: FTBFS: alta-diag.c:87:27: error: asm/unaligned.h: No such file or directory
tags 428936 patch stop Hi, On Fri, Jun 15, 2007 at 08:40:28AM +0200, Lucas Nussbaum wrote: > During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on i386. > > Relevant part: > make[1]: Entering directory `/build/user/nictools-pci-1.3.8' > gcc -O -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -o alta-diag alta-diag.c \ > -DLIBFLASH libflash.c -DLIBMII libmii.c > alta-diag.c:87:27: error: asm/unaligned.h: No such file or directory The file asm/unaligned.h was previously provided by the package linux-kernel-headers which, according to [0] is not available any more. Its replacement package linux-libc-dev, which provides some of the files in /usr/include/asm previously provided by linux-kernel-headers, doesn't provide this file any more. 0. http://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2007/07/msg00094.html I then looked for a newer version of the nictools, but at the download location given in debian/copyright I didn't find any nictools at all - upstream seems to be dead (reported as bug #435190). As the file asm/unaligned.h available in etch's linux-kernel-headers isn't that big and as it seems to do nothing really kernel specific magic stuff I simply copied it (and recursively its inner included files) into a new file unaligned.h and altered all relevant source files to include this header file instead of the one not available in /usr/include any more. The patch is attached to this message. I know that this is a quite ugly workaround because it messes around with upstream source, but to the best of my knowledge it seems to close the bug. And if there really is no upstream source anymore this is probably okay...
