Bug#905268: at-spi2-core: key repeat causes a blocked system
Hi Samuel, thanks for the fast response. Unfortunately this problem does not occur regularly but only occasionally. But if it happens, it happens for roughly half an hour. Will checks the Xorg logs as soon as it happens again. Currently I don't see anything conspicuous, but it's difficult to relate var/log/messages and var/log/Xorg.0.log Michael On 02/08/18 13:22, Samuel Thibault wrote: Control: reassign -1 xorg-server Hello, Are you running the orca screen reader? Michael Becker, le jeu. 02 août 2018 13:00:22 +0200, a ecrit: if pressing the cursor up/down keys for two to three seconds the mouse cursor starts moving and neither keyboard nor mouse input is possible So you only press the PC keyboard up/down keys, and then the mouse moves? this also happens if the keyrepeat functionality is disabled in the xfce4 configuration /var/log/messages shows the following error: org.a11y.Bus[7817]: XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":1" org.a11y.Bus[7817]: after 21 requests (21 known processed) with 0 events remaining. thus I am guessing the problem is related to at-spi2-core Nope, it's the contrary: at-spi2-core is seeing X unresponsive and just logs about it. Thus reassigning. You should rather look for the X server log, in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log Samuel
