Bug#652171: new libprocps0 package
Hello Craig, Am 2012-01-12 09:50:12, schrieb Craig Small: Hello, Apologies for the rough ride around the libprocps library change. The latest procps now has split out the shared library into its own package. This should mean that there is less of this problem in future. You will need to download libprocps0-dev and re-link the program to -lprocps. There is also a pkg-config file if you need that. I've tested it with xmem and it builds fine with 2 small changes. In future, there will be a large API change but that will be in a new library version package so it won't be like the programs suddenly stop working like before. Thankyou for the message. I will update xmem as fast as possibel - Craig (Debian and upstream maintainer of procps) Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening Michelle Konzack -- # Debian GNU/Linux Consultant ## Development of Intranet and Embedded Systems with Debian GNU/Linux Internet Service Provider, Cloud Computing http://www.itsystems.tamay-dogan.net/ http://www.debian.tamay-dogan.net/ itsystems@tdnet Jabber linux4miche...@jabber.ccc.de Owner Michelle Konzack Gewerbe Strasse 3 Tel office: +49-176-86004575 77694 Kehl Tel mobil: +49-177-9351947 Germany Tel mobil: +33-6-61925193 (France) USt-ID: DE 278 049 239 Linux-User #280138 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#362786: zgrep gives Syntaxerror since Sarge
Hello Justin, Am 2006-04-15 11:50:15, schrieb Justin Pryzby: Since when? grep hasn't changed. You might check /var/log/dpkg.log. Since Sarge... /bin/zgrep: 103: Syntax error: Bad substitution What shell are you using as /bin/sh ? Line 103 of zgrep is: Bash. i=$(echo $i | sed -e 's/[\\|]/\\/g') What if you replace that with: i=`echo $i | sed -e 's/[\\|]/\\/g'` The same problem, because of sed. I had some scripts allready which do not like my old RegExp. It seems, the RegExp used in zgrep does not more work Could you try running the script with set -x? Yes, but it is definitivly the RegExp from sed, which does not more work. After an 'apt-get install postgresql' debconf ask for the PGDATA directory which I answered with: /PostgreSQL Then they ask me for the dump directory which I answered with /PostgreSQL/dump and the third was the /PostgreSQL/preserve Now while continuing the install scripts creat /var/lib/postgres without data directory, create the postgres $USER with the same directory and exit with an error because it cannot find the $PGDATA directory. I was allready looking into the install scripts and the do some weired stuff... Please consider to correct those Scripts. Fortunatly it was not a productiv Database where such things are not allowed. I have waste to much time to correct all corresponding config files and deleting unwanted dirctories like /var/lib/postgres. Because on a productiv Database someone can run into unneccesary long downtimes resolving this error, I consider this Bug as critical. Since I run PostgreSQL 7.4 as backports on more then 53 Servers (8 own plus 45 server at customers) on Woody, I am now fortunatly warned. Ans last not least, one of my locale is UTF8 and debconf does only let me chose between de_DE and C, but not UTF8.
