Yes the error is not there. I looked at a Xorg.0.log when I am using mesa 23.2.1, and I have the same error with the i965 driver, as you said: ... My error here is not related to the i965 driver, it's the segfault just after in OsLookupColor. I will try to do a backtrace to understand what's happening exactly.
