In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:

  * fix dangling symlinks (LP: #411991)

Bug#346352: texinfo: same problem reproduced/resolved

Had the same issue on my system, reporting just the for record.

After changing 'update_ls_files' to 'update_lsr_files'.
