Bug#768618:

2015-04-09 Thread Stefan Bauer
I'm not into the deadlines for jessie release but is there still a
chance to get pacemaker back into the upcoming jessie release?

This is quite a show stopper to ship debian 8 without a working cluster
stack.

Cheers,

Stefan

 Dear Maintainer,

When a server is queried for a large number of entries, scli segfaults. I've
seen this on Debian Wheezy and Debian testing, both querying Ubuntu-8.04-LTS
servers as well as Debian Wheezy servers. When a query is sent to an
unconfigured Debian snmp server (system info only), everything seems to be ok.

I'm checking currently with upstream. We can so far not trigger the behavior.

As Roger suggested, adding the dependency is a good idea, because
otherwise the automatic adding of the -P option which the init script
does is not working and the user does not know why.

Therefore, I NMUed a version of oidentd with your patch and a
dependency on iproute | net-tools. I am NMUing because I could not
find any Debian activity by Stefan Bauer (the maintainer of oidentd) in
2012 at all and this bug has been open since 2012-05-14.

Stefan: Do you still want to actively maintain oidentd?

Hi Michael,

sorry but i dont have time anymore for the debian packages i hold currently.

 I'll schedule a binNMU.

You can do this if you want. But i have a correct build ready to
 upload here.

 your choice!

Well, unless you're going to fix #619687 a source upload isn't needed.
The i386 binNMU is now building.

Well 619687 is not interesting anymore as there is already a newer
version in unstable. Kind of the same build problems but at
different location.

thanks for the binNMU.

I'm not sure if anybody would want both daemons installed at the same

Well ok. Let's take your ideas and use Provide and Conflict with a

This is a serious bug as it makes installation fail, and violates

circumstances you might also consider Replace relations or file
diversions. If the conflicting situation cannot be resolved then, as a
last resort, the two packages have to declare a mutual
Conflict. Please take into account that Replaces, Conflicts and
diversions should only be used when packages provide different
 implementations for the same functionality.

Hi Ralf,

thank you for your report. Do you really think, removing the manpage
in one package might be clever? As both packages are using the same
function under the hood, both packages need to have an appropriate
manpage for this. Both packages manpages include almost the same
informations in their manpage. I only see some FIXME-tags in the
openswan manpages.

I would like to either rename the manpages shipped with racoon or
let openswan-maintainers do that.

I'm looking forward to get some response from the openswan-guys.

Bug#581407: dansguardian - problem accessing ssl-pages without appropriate exceptions

2010-05-12 Thread Stefan Bauer
Package: dansguardian
Version: 2.9.9.4-1+lenny1
Severity: serious

Hi,

host without an entry in the exceptioniplist get a timeout trying to
access a https webpages. If i add them either into exceptioniplist
or add the webpage as an exception, i can load them properly. There
should be at least! an information for the user, that https-traffic
is not allowed by the appropriate host! This is a bug and took me 2
days to figure out. Not to mention ,that this is a productive
environment without options to just go ahead with a newer version.

Maybe this is the default behavior to block ssl-pages without
exceptions but anyway, there should be a blocked information for
the user - so the admin can adjust configurations to fit the needs.

this is already reported against dansguardian:

(within this time, there also have been several forced rekeying
processes to test this as well)

I give this bug 5 more days so people have enough time to come up
with facts / informations about this bug. After that i'll close that
bug as it is not reproducable in my lab.

2010-03-09 Thread Stefan Bauer
Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-sparc64
Version: 2.6.26-21
Severity: critical

Hi,

i'm using the netinstall method to put debian on my sun V120
stations. (i took the netinst.img dated 13:46 30-01-10) from here:

http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/lenny/main/installer-sparc/current/images/netboot/

I had no problem with linux-image-2.6.26-1-sparc64 but
linux-image-2.6.26-2-sparc64 drops a Kernel panic.

Additional informations here - other people also discovered that
problem.

http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-sp...@lists.debian.org/msg22126.html

Probably any change between package 2.6.26-1 and 2.6.26-2 caused
that problem. Older versions like 2.6.18 work also very well (like
the old etch installer)

This is a serious problem for me.

Bug#544927: oidentd: Error installing /tmp/inetdcf3dFWo to /etc/inetd.conf: Invalid cross-device link

2009-09-03 Thread Stefan Bauer
Is /tmp mounted with noexec?

A workaround is to set in /etc/apt/apt.conf

DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs {mount -o remount,exec /tmp;};
DPkg::Post-Invoke {mount -o remount /tmp;};
