Bug#375601: ltsp-server: ltsp-build-client using gettext without load gettext.sh

2006-06-26 Thread Tiago Bortoletto Vaz
Package: ltsp-server
Version: 0.87debian2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

the ltsp-build-client script uses eval_gettext function the is
implemented in /usr/bin/gettext.sh script. It makes this script
unusable once its invocation returns the follow error:

fork:/home/tiago# ltsp-build-client
/usr/sbin/ltsp-build-client: line 109: eval_gettext: command not found
/usr/sbin/ltsp-build-client: line 42: eval_gettext: command not found

According gettext info page, loading gettext.sh is a prerequisite and
can be done just adding this line in the begin of the script:

. gettext.sh

Thanks,

Bug#393073: Please consider one more security issue before going to testing

Jetty Insecure Random Number Generation and Session ID Prediction
Vulnerability

Reference:
http://www.frsirt.com/english/advisories/2007/0497

Technical Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in Jetty, which could be exploited
by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions. This issue is due
to a design error where session identifiers generated via the
"java.util.Random" class are easily predictable, which could be
exploited by remote attackers to hijack a user's session and gain
unauthorized access to a vulnerable application.

That's strange once I don't have gnome-sharp2 installed and it works
fine for me. In fact it results in a segfault after closing its main
window, but it runs with no problem. I'll ask the upstream about this
issues and update depends afterwards. Anyway, could you post how have
you got sure about missing gnome-sharp2 == segfault?

thanks for reporting this bug,
