Thanks for packaging Noscript does not proper work with iceweasel 24+. Raising the severity then. I am not realy familiar with this. I need to use the package from wheezy-backports to get it to work again. Thanks for the feedback, making the BTS aware too. We’ll ask the release team to either accept the version currently in backports, or the version currently in unstable (the last one is supposed to be working with iceweasel 31 too according to upstream) into the next point release. Did not test if iceweasel 17 does work with noscript 2.6.8.4-1~bpo70+1 or higher Think a simple solution would be to make sure that the versions stay in sync would be to have version 2.1.4-1 break with iceweasel 23. Only my 10 ct but I am by far an expert. Colliar signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Package: openjdk-6-jre Version: 6b27-1.12.6-1~deb7u1 Severity: critical File: openjdk-6 Dear Maintainer, The latest security update did break openjdk-6 badly. It's possible to have the old libjgoodies-forms-java installed (e.g. on a wheezy system) and then to install the new patched mediathekview, which will most probably break. Exactly. So I think a versioned dependency on libjgoodies-forms-java = 1.6 would indeed make sense for mediathekview. Well, that's true. I didn't think thoroughly enough about the mixed distributions case here because this is not a problem if you use pure sid or pure testing whereby version 1.6.0-3 of libjgoodies-forms-java enters before mediathekview. Indeed a versioned dependency on libjgoodies-forms-java makes sense in this case. Think version 1.6.0-3 of libjgoodies-forms-java needs to break version 1.3.0.2 of libjgoodies-common-java. Otherwise you end up with a similar exception. colliar signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Hm, reading http://www.jgoodies.com/download/libraries/forms/RELEASE-NOTES.txt my impression is that only Forms 1.7.1 requires Commons 1.6.0, and not the versions before. (And Forms 1.5.0 requires only Commons 1.3.) Forms 1.6.0 should require Commons 1.4. I did test it with two systems running wheezy with some sid. Only updating libjgoodies-forms-java just changed the exception missing some gnu.io which was solved by manually updating libjgoodies-common-java from 1.3.0.2 to 1.4.0.2 Besides that a versioned = depends would be enough IMO. You are right. Cheers signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Bug#704987: system freezes after hibernate/suspend
On 16.04.2013 18:38, Ingo wrote: @ colliar I just checked with your syslog and found that system has resumed from hibernate just a few minutes before the crash happened. I did see also random cashes/freezes in Wheezy when system was suspended before (s2ram). Since I no longer use suspend all the troubles have gone away. I must admit that this did not happen with early Wheezy kernels, but it shows up with latest kernels and also with any vanilla 3.4 kernel. I really cannot decide the root cause of this observation, but I feel it's worth to test on your hardware without suspend/hibernate. My hardware is Ivy Bridge i5-3570k. No, this was after a reboot ! The major concern I have, that it did work much better with some crashes per month but now it reproducibly crashes ten times a day. For me this is a regression. No, see http://kernel-handbook.alioth.debian.org/ch-bugs.html#s9.1.2 I see. So it is up to the kernel team to decide which hardware is new and which not ? Are there any guidelines, introduced ~ one year before freeze ? If we were to treat every crash/hang as 'data loss' and hence grave then we would have a few hundred RC bugs and would never release Debian again. Or it would be really outdated. Bug#704987: gnome-shell: scrolling in libreoffice-writer freezes system
Package: gnome-shell Version: 3.4.2-7 Severity: critical Justification: breaks the whole system Dear Maintainer, I am not sure if this bug belongs to X or gnome 3. It is #673895 which was closed and similar to #673942. Scrolling in libreoffice-writer 100% totally freezes X / the system. Sometimes it gets back only to crash for good after more scolling. The document does not matter. The mouse pointer still reacts but nothing more. Ctrl-Alt-Print-k kills the xserver but gdm3 does not start anymore. Ctrl-Alt-F? do not work, only Kernel-Magic-Keys work. Using gnome-fallback libreoffice-writer works without a problem. This happens on a different machine with an intel onboard graphic card. Sorry, I do not have access right now, but I try to supply more info the next days. What is need ? I am also not sure for how long this bug already exists as we are in the process switching to tex and libreoffice is not used that often anymore.
