Sorry, the duplicate message problem was caused by my mistake in
recovering the wrong backup :-(
However, there remains the problem of the disappearance of all messages
after the upgrade to 3.6

I think I forgot to add he needed patch *before upgrade to 3.6* into
bullseye-backports.
To understand the whole problem, I need to know if bug exists also when
upgrading from 3.2.6-2+deb11u2 to 3.6.x

Cheers,
Yadd

I checked and the upgrade was done from version 3.4.3-4 ~ bpo11 + 1 to
3.6.0 ~ beta2-5 ~ bpo11 + 1

We downgraded Cyrus and proceed with the reconstruct, the messages
reappeared but with many duplicates (especially those that had been
moved to subfolders).

In our opinion, the bug is really serious

Hi,

I don't know how to help here. relocate_by_id, cyr_ls and cyr_cd.sh are
installed by cyrus-common. Is there a command to launch to upgrade db ?

Question: did you update from 3.2.6-2+deb11u2 or an older release ? I
added an upstream patch in this version to be able to update to 3.6
