OK, thanks.

AIUI we now need another upload of src:sysvinit in which bin:bootlogd
gets a Replaces and Breaks on manpages-fr (<< 4.15.0-9~), correct?

I can do that this weekend, ceteris paribus, unless anyone shouts.

Where, though, are the other Replaces/Breaks? I cannot find any on
the 3.05-1 binary packages? These are needed for upgrade ordering…
… oh, the manpages for the other packages are just diverted? That
will do, I suppose?

bye,

The upload of manpages-l10n (manpages-fr) was just accepted in
unstable.

Greetings

Thanks. Feel free to reassign/close this bug at will then… or do we
need another sysvinit upload with updated Replaces/Breaks/… as well,
Andreas?

I'll do the upload on the weekend. I guess the best is that you close
it afterwards? Or reassign it to manpages-l10n?

Greetings

No. This is not the intention, quite the contrary. This file probably
escaped me, because I did not realize that the package bootlogd
originates from sysvinit.

I can do another upload removing this file as well.

Yes, that would be the best option. A few days ago I informed all
translation teams about the transfer of translations to sysvinit, so
if the French team could integrate the translation of bootlogd there,
that'll be great.

I suggest we keep this source file in the manpage l10n upstream repository
for a few more weeks and then I ask upstream (Mario Blättermann) to move
it to the archive. (Best if the French team would indicate a good
time).

For Debian, as stated above, I can do another upload removing this
file as well.

Greetings

   Helge

Perhaps in this time a french speaker can compare the two versions,
from sysvinit and manpages-l10n, and see which one is “better”, then
contribute that to sysvinit so manpages-l10n can remove theirs as
bootlogd isn’t provided with systemd?

Thanks. I was under the impression that manpages-i10n had changed to systemd
versions (which doesn't have bootlogd.8) but apparently not. I think we should
continue to use the manpages-i10n version and not have any more dpkg diversions
than are absolutely necessary.

I am away for a week, but will resolve this once I am back.
