I have just uploaded the new package, just before reading this bug report. It now only depends on how fast the modules will be accepted byt the ftpmasters :). AUrelien -- .''`. Bug#289910: modules are built against old kernel abi
Package: i2c Severity: serious i2c's kernel modules, such as i2c-2.4.27-1-386, are built against the old version of the debian kernel package, with an abiname of 1, such as kernel-image-2.4.27-1-386. The abiname has changed due to a security fix that broke the module abi, and so the new package names are kernel-image-2.4.27-2-386, etc, and i2c's module package need to be rebuilt to depend on these. I'm marking this bug report serious because until it's fixed the i2c modules packages are blocking the new kernel packages, with their security fixes, from entering testing. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- see shy jo signature.asc Description: Digital signature
