Bug#310982: does this affect etch/sid?
This bug seems to be full of discussion of sarge, and was closed until 3.0.14a-4 didn't make the cut for sarge. Does it also affect etch and sid? If not, could you close it for those, so we can stop tracking it as a security issue for them? -- see shy jo signature.asc Description: Digital signature

The proper fix for this bug needs to be in the kernel; the changes made to samba were an expedient (but not expedient enough for sarge) workaround only. So yes, it does still apply to etch/sid; it is a kernel issue, and among other things will affect anyone building samba from non-Debian sources. -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world. I believe that this is a 2.4.27 bug. 2.4.27-11, the sid version, still has this bug. I am still looking for someone to test or comment on the patch I posted. Though I am tempted to put it into 2.4.27-12 untested. -- Horms -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
