Bug#387138: openoffice.org crashes on startup

2006-09-12 Thread Brent S. Elmer

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.4~rc1-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Openoffice.org displays the splash screen then gives the following error on startup. I had the problem in 2.0.3-6 so I tried the version in unstable to see if it fixed it and I get the same error.

$ oowriter
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice: line 236: 22473 Floating point exception$sd_prog/$sd_binary $@

** (process:22437): WARNING **: Unknown error forking main binary / abnormal early exit ...

See #387138. We'd need a strace -f. I already forwarded the bug upstream
(they want the strace -f).

In any case, this doesn't happen for most people
