Bug#391073: bisonc++: empty package on powerpc (known problem with icmake)

2006-10-04 Thread Niko Tyni
Package: bisonc++
Version: 1.4.0-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

the powerpc package of bisonc++ is currently empty. This is a known
problem in icmake (#388495) that was recently fixed upstream. The stealth
package also suffered from it recently (#388423).

Cheers,

:-)

Thanks (again) for noting this problem. Fortunately, our torture has come to
an end: the cause of the problem was a nasty bug that hid itself somewhere
deep down in icmake, and appearing only in extremely seldom conditions (one of
them furtunately came to light on the powerpc, as you were quick to note)

This afternoon I filed an bugreport against icmake, asking Francesco to
install a new upstream release, and we have to wait for that to happen before
icmake can do its work properly on the PPC.

It's quite likely that my other packages, e.g., yodl and bobcat show the same
problem. but if there's a problem the upgrade will solve theirs too.

Thanks, of course, for pointing this out. We'll wait closing this bug until
the new icmake relase has been accepted by Francesco.
