Bug#431095: ecasound2.2: not binNMU-safe, uninstallable in unstable

2007-06-29 Thread Steve Langasek
Package: ecasound
Version: 2.4.5-2
Severity: grave

Hi Junichi,

BinNMU rebuilds were scheduled for ecasound2.2 as a result of the libflac
library transition (bug #426644, which can effectively be closed now); but
the arch: any ecasound binary package has a dependency on

   Depends: [...] python-ecasound2.2 (= ${Source-Version})

And python-ecasound2.2 is an Arch: all package. That means that on binNMU,
ecasound becomes uninstallable, because there is no python-ecasound2.2
2.4.5-2+b1 -- only python-ecasound2.2 2.4.5-2.

Please update your control file to use (= ${source:Version}) instead of the
confusing and deprecated ${Source-Version}. A quick response would be
appreciated, since the flac transition (and connected transitions) currently
hold over 200 updates out of testing.

Thanks,

I'll do a quick upload to fix this problem.
