Bug#456679: pam-pgsql: should this package be orphaned?
severity 456679 normal reassign 456679 wnpp retitle 456679 O: pam-pgsql -- PAM module to authenticate using a PostgreSQL database thanks On Mon, Dec 17, 2007 at 03:50:54PM +0100, Filippo Giunchedi wrote: > While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a package that > should maybe be orphaned by its maintainer, because: [...] Considering that this caused a removal from testing, I am now stepping up to orphan this package. Please be aware that Ubuntu packaged something they call a new "upstream" version. It could possibly be investigated for a new upload. Rationale for orphanage: I was never able to get a reliable means of communication with the current maintainer of the package and he was unable to come up with an upload to sponsor. And there was no reaction by the Debian maintainer nowadays, at all. The reassignment of this bug will put this package back into testing. Kind regards, Philipp Kern -- .''`. Package: pam-pgsql Version: 0.5.2-9.3 Severity: serious User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: proposed-orphan Hi, While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a package that should maybe be orphaned by its maintainer, because: * maintainer seems not active * no upload maintainer since long If you think that it should be removed from Debian instead of being orphaned, please reply to this bug and tell so. If you agree that it should be orphaned, sending the following commands to [EMAIL PROTECTED] should do it (after replacing nn with this bug's number): severity nn normal reassign nn wnpp retitle nn O: -- thanks For more information, see http://www.debian.org/doc/developers-reference/ch-pkgs.en.html#s-archive-manip http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/ If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please close this bug, preferably in an upload also fixing the other issues.
