Package: dhcp3-client
Version: 3.1.0-3
Followup-For: Bug #462570

I'm tacking on my info to this bug as my problem seems to be highly
related. I'll create a new bug if you prefer.

In my dhclient.conf I have the default config and two additional lines:

send host-name "naga";
append domain-name " ibm.com";

dhclient3 is writing the following resolv.conf file:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
domain
search  ibm.com
nameserver 192.168.1.1

This leads to hostname lookups not working:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ host gcc.gnu.org
host: parse of /etc/resolv.conf failed

My suspicion is the previous fix isn't quite right yet.
