(Setting to grave because this is a serious regression that prevents
from using ssh with some hosts without any workaround and this bug
must be fixed before lenny is released.)
For a host for which I have a ProxyCommand:

zsh: No such file or directory
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
Note: POSIX does not require that SHELL contain a full pathname.
