Bug#492933: releaseforge: reportbug fails to upload to SourceForge; may be fixed in new upstream

The release 1.3 gives me this error: 2008-08-01 22:35:24,827 - ERROR - sfcomm - (-5, 'No address associated with hostname') a few times on the console. It does claim to work fine. But it doesn't actually upload the other file I put into my existing release. (Can you test it also?) I did not get that error. So no, it does not appear that 1.3 fixes this bug, as packaged in the above repository. Argghhh. I had hoped it would. Is there a way to upload packages without actually making a release? Or do I need to make a dummy release and then just mark the release as inactive (or invisible, o whatever it is) afterward? Are you on IRC or IM? I am el_cubano on OFTC and Freenode and I am on Jabber at [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you could maybe help me try and figure this out, I would appreciate it. Regards, -Roberto -- Roberto C. Would it be possible for you to test them out for me? You can obtain them here: http://people.connexer.com/~roberto/debian/ They work for me, but I would like some positive feedback before I seek a freeze excpetion (and I think that if I can positively indicate that these packages fix the bug for the subitter, it will help the case for an exception).
